Just let me know when you guys are ready to move on. I'll be traveling tomorrow morning but I can update tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Miso Jirogawa |

Leveled up and ready.
Staying with Monk cos I think I'll be happier when I finally get to Dragon Disciple.

EndlessForms |

I will be visiting my brother for his birthday tomorrow and moving back to Bloomington on Sunday (GMing Reign of Winter that night) so updates may be slow for the rest of the weekend.

EndlessForms |

Just so you guys are aware, there's one unexplored room on the top floor and several rooms on the main floor. There is also a dungeon with several encounters. But overall we've made quite a bit of progress through book 1!

EndlessForms |

To follow up on the post above:
Flipping through the rest of the book, I see seven more encounters in book 1. It's been a while since I skimmed through the dungeon but I think at least one of those may be a potential non-violent encounter. And I've also been known to leave out an encounter or two when it's not exciting or doesn't really advance the story. The barracks with the fancy gown had two sleeping troglodytes in it but I didn't feel that was a terribly exciting or challenging encounter so we'll just pretend they were never there.

EndlessForms |

Hey guys! I'm about to head on the road within the hour. Unless I miraculously have free wifi and have some free time, I probably won't be able to update until Saturday night at the earliest (depending on how early I get back) but more likely Sunday. So you may have to sit tight for a few days but don't worry! I'll be back!

EndlessForms |

So once we wrap this up we will be done with The Brinewall Legacy! Which means chronicle sheet time!
Just let me know the PFS number of the character you would like to apply this to and I will report it.
Woo! Book 2 coming up soon! We'll have some RP to finish up book 1 this week but we're (almost) done with the encounters so I thought I'd let you guys look over the chronicle sheet while I have time to post it.

Jennix Caerwyllien |

Sorry for the radio silence this weekend. We were supposed to just drive up to Indy on Sat. and drive back home, but it turned out that we stayed and didn't get home until last night. Then I come down with food poisoning/a stomach bug. Ugh!

EndlessForms |

First of all, level up to 4!
Also, I need PFS numbers from you guys for who you would like to apply the above chronicle sheet to.
So is everyone good with keeping going onto book 2? Posting has slowed a bit on the latter half of this dungeon so I just want to make sure everyone is still on board before we dive into the next book. If you need/want to drop, it's not a big deal-I can find a replacement, I'm sure-but between books would be a good time rather than in the middle of a dungeon.

Terflynn |

Well, I wouldn't mind a small break at least. Paizo's updates broke Wayfinder, and that was my bread & butter for following & posting. I'll have to update it before it's working again, and my first child was due on Sunday. So, y'know, stuff. But maybe a week or two and I'll be good to go. Hopefully with the inventory sheet updated with final tallies for everyone gold- and item-wise.

EndlessForms |

Ok, that's fine. Understandable. We have some RP to finish up book 1 and start book 2 yet so as long as someone is taking the initiative on those fronts I don't mind if you need to lay low for a week.

Miso Jirogawa |

For me, please use 3601-15.
I'm okay with going on to book 2 if everyone else is up for it.

Jennix Caerwyllien |

I am totally game with continuing. Not sure which PC to put it on. Was waiting to see if I got accepted to the S&S. That will influence who I put it on. Though it's not looking very good.
BTW, early congrats D-Kal!

EndlessForms |

3 XP and 4 PP.
It's linked above and you can all print that one out since it's the same for all of you. I just need to know who you are applying it to so I can report it.
@Zachary: I've got it down. I'll the character number in order to report it though. No rush, just tell me when you decide.

Miso Jirogawa |

And don't forget that you're all level 4 now!
Indeed. Working on that now, LOL.

Zachary Chase |

You can throw it in there without a character number, the report will still go through (I have reports in from 3 different APs played locally that are not all assigned yet.). AP sheets usually turn into "O god i need a character for this tier now." level bumps.

Are you sure that's legal? I could be wrong but I thought I read a thread last year where people were asking about the legality of GM-credit 'blob' characters and floating XP. I'm pretty sure Mike Brock said that blob characters are totally fine (and understandable) but that you couldn't have floating XP that you can just apply to any character whenever you choose to jump levels because you need someone in a particular tier. I thought you had to apply it to a character as soon as the game was finished; otherwise the dates on your chronicle sheets might not be in order, which tends to look suspicious to GMs. The only exception to dates being out of order would be higher level pregen credit or GM credit for a high level scenario on a PC that hasn't yet reached that tier.
Again, I could be wrong but I thought that was the last word on the issue. But then again, it's probably been a year since I read through a thread on the topic so things may have changed or the ruling may have swayed the other way after I lost interest in following it.

Miso Jirogawa |

That's (mostly) correct — you are supposed to apply it to a specific PFS character number at the time it's earned, though you don't have to have the PC built yet.
But then again, if the player doesn't give you a dash number, you as the GM don't really have any control over that, do you?
I get some of my best exercise doing balancing acts...

And the PC doesn't have to be of the level for these AP sheets (or if you play a pregen in anything); you can hold on to it until the PC reaches that level but you can't just leave it floating to be put on any PC at your convenience.

BTW, EF, we had talked about Miso swapping out a feat now that Crane Style has been errata'd, and I would like to swap it for Arcane Strike (which I should have taken at level 3 but didn't cos I'm an IDIOT).
If he needs to officially retrain, that's fine too.

Jennix Caerwyllien |

Technically, AP credits are supposed to be applied at the time of receiving them, just like GM credits. I understand that's not always convenient, some times I thrash around trying to decide where to apply credit. Either way, after the began sanctioning the AP, they made a change to the Guide to clarify. There's also a post from Brock saying they have to be applied like GM credits.
All players receive a Chronicle sheet unless, at the GM’s discretion, they are replaying the module or Adventure Path for no credit. If a player uses an existing Pathfinder Society character for the adventure, he must apply the Chronicle sheet to that character immediately. A player who uses a pregenerated character must apply the Chronicle sheet to a 1st-level character or hold the Chronicle sheet until his character reaches the level of the pregenerated character.
This was under the Chp. 6 Sanctioned Modules and Adventure Paths section, so I think Pregen here implies "Homebrew"

EndlessForms |

You'll have some travel time (I'll have to read ahead to see how much) so that's not an issue. Just pay the gold amount it would cost to represent someone 'training' you in this new feat. I'm not going to be picking about being in a city big enough to find a trainer; someone in the caravan did it if that will help.

Terflynn |

Any time for crafting? I have this "Craft Wondrous Item" feat, and we have some spending money now...
Speaking of which, I've updated the loot sheet. We have a lot of "junk" items, like crossbow bolts or masterwork weapons we won't use. I haven't figured up those values yet. It'd be cool if everyone claimed what they wanted for items so I could "sell" the rest, but if you don't I can just assign you all some things I think you'd like, then tell you what items and gold you're ending up with.

Miso Jirogawa |

Good call, Terflynn.
If no one objects, Miso will request the following:
- wand of scorching ray
- amulet of mighty fists +1
- circlet of persuasion
- ioun stone
- amulet of mighty fists +1
He could also take a heavy crossbow, although we maybe should look into masterwork equipment now that we have a little coin.
I don't recall if Jennix took the feather step slippers, but if he didn't (or wants something else for that slot) Miso can use those too.
I would suggest Jennix take the lenses of detection as our resident trapspringer.

Zachary Chase |

Ugh, 18601-9 is the right one, my fault on that one. I'll have to check out the loot list when I get home later today. I don't recall there being much of use to me except for a few magic arrows I already claimed though.

Miso Jirogawa |

Thanks.
Retraining recap: retraining Crane Style to Arcane Strike = 5 days & 250 gp.
My rudimentary maths shows Miso should still have 2527 gp in his share. I'd like to get him a ring of protection +1, either by purchase or by request through Terflynn's crafting.

EndlessForms |

Terflynn can only craft wondrous items; rings requires Forge Ring. You're not quite in a settlement yet but will be soon for things that Terflynn can't craft for you.

Jennix Caerwyllien |

Jennix is leveled, just need to import his stats. If Miso can speak Skald, I'll put the rank in something else then. Unless someone thinks there is another language he should take.

Miso Jirogawa |

That might be a good 5th level feat. Shame though, I was hoping to take the Flight hex. Guess I can put that off until 6th.
Speaking as someone who has a Witch PC, I cannot encourage the Flight hex enough.
I've enough gold for a ring, so no worries.

Miso can speak Common, Celestial, Hallit, Skald, Tien, and Varki.

Forge Ring requires CL 7.

Terflynn |

I still need to go through and calculate a share for all the magic items and such we'll be selling, so in a few days if nobody has claimed stuff on the sheet (by posting it here or highlighting it on the actual sheet) I'll do the selling calculations and make a separate "sold share" line that will only be for that, so we can go ahead and add the 1218 for now.
I hope there's a lot to sell. I just did some math for a 7000-ish gp base price magic item: Terflynn's Thermal Mittens! But I need at least another 2k gold for that.
These red woolen mittens are decorated with two fluffy tassels at the wrists. The wearer of these gloves can (but does not have to) light flammable objects simply by touching them, treating the mitten as an open flame. The wearer may also produce a fireball as the spell produce flame lasting for a total of 4 minutes per day. They do not have to be consecutive, but must be used in one-minute increments. Finally, the wearer may cast burning hands (CL 4th) at will, but this consumes one charge. Thermal Mittens have 50 charges from creation, and may still be used for their other effects once all charges are depleted.
In addition, while the wearer is wearing both gloves, they provide a +4 circumstance bonus on Fortitude saves against exposure to cold weather, but impart a -2 penalty on all precision-based tasks (such as opening locks).
Construction Requirements
Cost 3,500 gp
Craft Wondrous Item, spark, burning hands, produce flame
