Rogar swings as hard as he can trying to catch the creature mid move.

Blur chance vs Rogar's AOO, high's a hit: 1d100 ⇒ 12 ...Cymflynder's a lucky SOB, what can I say. :\

Rogar's attack seems so close, but the fey's wavering outline causes the blade to miss by a hair.

Barred, keep in mind that with entangled you're stuck at 1/4 move, so you couldn't have reached him anyway. Moved you back one square.

Kaya, yep, it' a move to stow and a move to draw. Once you get a +1 BaB, you can draw a weapon as part of a movement, but it would still be two actions to do it as you're doing. Dropping weapons is free, though.

Also, I do believe I forgot Cym's reflex save. Wouldn't have made a difference since he made it at the end of his turn, but:

Reflex: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23 pass

Round 9/10 - bold may act
Barred (-2 HP, cold blessing on his fists) (entangled)
Cymflynder -16 HP, blurred

Rogar (you just took your AOO, still up for your regular attack)
Geera -8 HP/1 NL
Reidog -3 HP, +1 AC (entangled)
Kaya -3 HP
Calder

Disheartened that his previous attempt to disarm the quick fey was avoided at the last moment, Calder will take a step towards the foe and once again tries to disarm him!

Disarm: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

The individual hits from the fey creature aren't too bad, but being targeted so much has taken a toll on Geera. She stabs with her cold iron dagger, more attempting to shield herself from further attack than strike him.

cold iron dagger,fighting defensively: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (6) + 2 - 4 = 4
cold iron dagger damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2

Reflex save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Calder's whip strike comes close, but doesn't connect with the sword in the mad fey's hand. Keep in mind a reach weapon calculates cover just like ranged does, so there'd be a -4 on that, though you could have moved first to avoid the ranged penalty. That said, you didn't beat his CMD either way

Reidog curses the miserable vines and struggles forward to no avail, while Geera strikes with her dagger hoping to avoid further injuries. Cymflynder only laughs.

Rogar, you're up! You just took your AOO earlier, so it's your actual action now.

Rogar strikes again.... and this time, no amount of fey trickery can save the little wretch from the mighty justice of Rogar's enormous sword! The powerful strike nearly cleaves the tiny jerk in half. With a gurgling scream, the self-styled 'Lord Cymflynder' drops to the ground, twitching weakly, his ornate rapier dropping from nerveless fingers.

"The forest... shall have its... revenge on you..." he whispers, before his silver eyes go dark.

Combat over! And so is the mission, technically.

The vines take some time to die away, but with no more immediate threat from the homicidal quickling, the Pathfinders are able to extricate themselves successfully, having learned, perhaps, a valuable lesson on ranged weaponry. Importantly, the lorestone itself was saved! Secure in Geera's pack, it is at no risk from the bright rays of the morning's light.

Compared to the arduous night-time trek through the woods to reach the circle, ahead of you you have only the prospect of an easy, scenic stroll through the woods to return to civilization. Though you feel eyes on you as you leave the forest, nothing attacks you, and the very air itself seems less tense, as if the forest was releasing a great breath of tension with Cymflynder dead.

Several days later, you are able to present the lorestone to your Venture Captain. The fist-sized rock is covered in Druidic inscriptions. Venture Captain Hamshanks looks somewhat askance at the rock deposited on the desk-- but the door flies open, revealing a pale-haired elf with an excited expression.

"Oh you have it! Of course you have it! Wonderful work, agents, just wonderful! We'll be sure to put it somewhere very safe," he says chipperly, shaking your hands in turn in a whirlwind of enthusiasm. "Kreighton Shaine, so nice to meet you. The Society's Master of Scrolls! Thank you all for your hard work. It's a shame about Hemzel, but I'm sure he'll be regrown as an oak or something. Hamshanks, please do see the agents paid, won't you....?"

Shaking his head slightly, Hamshanks duly signs off on your successful mission, gruffly thanking you for your return of the lorestone and presenting you with receipts to the Bank of Abadar, from which you may draw your pay.

Well done, agents! Chronicle Sheets coming shortly.

If I had ever not been entangled, I might have attempted another ranged attack at Cymflynder, but a -8 to my attack roll in addition to not having cold iron eliminated that as a possibility.

A dedicated archer would definitely have made this combat much easier.

Grippli Alchemist 2 | AC23-T16-FF20 | HP 8/17 (1 NL) | F+6 R+7 W+1 (+2 vs. poison) | Init +3 Per +5 (Dark 60 ft.) | Bomb: +6 (1d6+3 Fire) (2/7, DC 14) | Active conditions: shield, fighting defensively

Geera rolls a cigarette between very slightly trembling hands. "What makes a fey turn out like that?"

Kaya only shakes her head, shrugging, if a bit morosely. "I can't say I know enough about the fey to have much of an opinion on the matter. That said, I'm glad you were the people I went with."

A wry smile - "I'm a bit clumsy, after all, so I needed a lot of looking after."

She takes her things back from Calder - and returning Geera's sack and what remained - with heartfelt, "Thank you!"s.

Geera, Kaya's sack is returned to you with an acid flask, an antitoxin, and two tindertwigs. c: I used the alchemist fire a la spiders, I think. Thanks so much for the loan!

"Justice brought another end to a fowl creature. Looks like my work here is done." with that Rogar walks out.

Thanks for the game GM. It was a lot of fun. Sorry I was in and out, but still a lot of fun.
