Njial Coalraker |

My character's a wandering cleric of Desna, he grew up in the Five Kings Mountains. Then spent some time at the Pathfinder Academy in Absalom leaving before graduation because he thought the Pathfinders were too restricting. He's spent the last few years wandering the roadways as Desna will directs him serving at turns as a mercenary, priest, and/or teacher.

Tanith 'Kordson' Creed |

I wouldn't mind Tanith knowing someone ahead of time but I thought the DM mentioned wanting to do meeting for the first time.

Njial Coalraker |

Let's assume for now that everyone's a stranger, but as we get closer to a final roster, maybe e can mesh some of the backstories.
I think the GM will be fine with some of us knowing each other as long as the story is well done. For Njial he's spent the last three years wandering the Inner Sea kingdoms, before that he was in Absalom for three years, and before that he grew up in Highhelm the largest dwarven city in the world.

Kopoth the Eloquent |

We all kind of wandered into town? I'd imagined that Kopoth would have just arrived, but having 4-5 just arriving strangers from around the world in a small town seemed a little odd. If the GM does want us to just meet up, that's fine with me.
Still, having some of us meet on the road ahead of time might be reasonable, or even having a couple of us recognize each other from another town could work too. Three of us have been through Absalom in our histories, so perhaps we met briefly there or came to Taldor on the same boat but just ran into each other here in town. Another idea might be that one of us knows another by reputation and the other doesn't recognize them at all. There are lots of options that can give us some traction in the early RP if we want.

Tanith 'Kordson' Creed |

Oops.
Sven’s a different ulfen paladin I’m playing in another game.

Tanith 'Kordson' Creed |

Derek, do you foresee a change of pace coming anytime soon?
You mentioned keeping up a certain speed that we seem to be having a hard time maintaining.

GM Derek W |

You guys are right - I've been dropping the ball a bit. I've been in seminars all day today and will be tomorrow - look for a more substantive post from me tonight!

GM Derek W |

Happy Thanksgiving to those who were celebrating yesterday! We hosted the dinner at my house this year, so I had limited time for posting.

GM Derek W |

Sundays are tough for me, especially this month. Also, I need my work PC to really edit maps decently. So I'll get a new post in the morning tomorrow. Good news though - you're in the same room as my own Dragon's Demand character who's been in his game since very early September!

Njial Coalraker |

Its no big deal if I'm wrong, but I think Flynt used one of those siver daggers we found earlier, and I thought that imps were vulnerable to silver, of course I also think they have fast healing so maybe I shouldn't say anything....

GM Derek W |

Hey, you're right! I totally forgot that mithral counts as silver for DR purposes. I'll update accordingly...

GM Derek W |

I'm having issues with the town map. For now, you can easily get directions where you need to go. I'll try to fix things later today.

GM Derek W |

Ok guys, things seem to have bogged down and that's never a good sign in a longer-running PBP.
The module includes quite a bit of roleplaying and learning about Belhaim the town. You've been exploringit for a few days (real-life time), and I just want to know if you are into this aspect of the game or not.
If you like it, I can keep it up for a while. There's a detailed appendix at the end with all sorts of tidbits to make the town "come alive". I also know that the dungeon crawl element takes a good amount of time, and we have a number more to get through.
So it's up to you guys. As for XP, I'm just leveling you guys where the story dictates, if that's ok. I could go back and add up the exact points if you'd rather.
Also, I owe you some loot. I'm goingto say you grabbed Sesserak's stuff before letting her go.
You get 3 potions of cure moderate wounds and and addtional 225 GP! (in gems and platinum)

Tanith 'Kordson' Creed |

In case anyone misses it, I'm organizing a PBP for the Siege of the Diamond City PFS special. This is a timed event so you'll need to be posting regularly but anyone here that's interested is welcomed to join.

Tanith 'Kordson' Creed |

Yes, it’s for all levels.
This is normally a timed thing so all we need is a ratio of days to minutes. For example, if we decide that ten minutes of table time is equal to a day, an encounter that is normally allotted an hour would be allowed six days.

GM Derek W |

Good news! I found the flash drive, so I'll have a new map up ASAP tomorrow morning.

GM Derek W |

Anyone know what happened to Kopoth? I've been too busy/lazy to PM him, but I guess I should follow up.

GM Derek W |

You guys still with me? It's kind of buried, but it is the group's turn?
That said, I must bear some semi-bad tidings. My employer is increasingly asking for reports of which projects and clients I'm working on/for during the day. I have not been productive enough lately (my own fault), and I need to drastically cut back on my online gaming during work hours. Home hours are also a challenge, unless I post fairly late at night (for me).
We haven't been burning it up, but would you be willing to accept moving at a slightly slower pace (I estimate only a bit of a drop-off) or would you rather call it quits? I'm honestly fine either way.
If we stick with it I can do no more than one post during lunch and maybe one some evenings.

Tanith 'Kordson' Creed |

If it's proving to be a burden, I'd rather end the game with some class rather than drag along on life support. In either case, I appreciate you being honest with us Derek. There's no shame in admitting you've got too much on your plate and scaling back.

GM Derek W |

Ok guys, so I had a few spare mintues and I got an update up!
What would you say to finishing out this dungeon? That would at least get you the first Chronicle for the game. I probably can't continue after that, but if you're game for a little more action, I am too.

Kistle |

I was thinking about the finishing of this dungeon. I think I will turn down getting a chronicle for this if we do finish.
Couple reasons:
If we take a chronicle now, that precludes us from getting the bonus chronicle, since you have to run it all the way through in Campaign mode to get it.
Also, reporting just the first section, in comparable to running it in module mode, which means that it should have been run with PFS legal PCs.
I'm ok with continuing, if you guys want to, but I ask that you don't report it for my character.
To be honest, per the second point, I don't think it would be a legal reporting, since we didn't have PFS PCs. When run in campaign mode, your supposed to hold the chronicles and pass them all out at the end.

Tanith 'Kordson' Creed |

Isn't the first chroncle a level 1 chroncle and therefore you can replay it anyway?

GM Derek W |

Well, I forgot about that guys - I would need ot wait until the end to award chronicles the way we're running things now. Well, under those circumstances it's up to you if you want to continue on from here. We could see how things go for the next week or two, and decide if the pace is suitable for continuing if you like.

Tanith 'Kordson' Creed |

Heh. I can tell this is hard for you. I’ll make the choice simpler.
I’m resigning from the game. Thanks for running. If your calendar clears up in the near future, give me a ring.
Also, I'll see you in Siege. =P

GM Derek W |

Well that works too. Thanks guys, and sorry we couldn't finish. Good luck with all your gaming! I know I'll still be hearing from both of you two in various other games (including Siege!).
I'll give this a day to make sure eveyone gets the message, and then shut the thread down.
Thanks guys! :/

Tanith 'Kordson' Creed |

Like I said, there's no hard feelings at all. If things clear up for you, you're welcome in my games. It's the folks that disappear for days/weeks/months on end and then return with a 'sorry I was really busy' excuse that rub me the wrong way.
