It begins...
Everyone's a veteran of this so I'll boil this down.
Character Selection
Once you finalize your choice, create your character on https://acg.orgplayonline.com/ and let me know what your ID number is. Be sure to include a link to the deck handler in your profile.
Party Communication
I'll spin up a discussion in Discord.
Posting Expectations
What time zone are you in?
It's always nice to get into a grove where each player is posting within 24 hours of the last turn. Obviously, let real-life take priority, but try to let us know if something does come up. To be quite honest, I will be prioritizing finishing other games in the beginning so I won't be going super fast over the next few months.
Use a posting style that works best for you, with as much or as little flavor as you feel comfortable with. It’s your game! The one thing that I would request is that you label your dice rolls with at least the difficulty and type of check.
Wildcards
Technically you can select which Wildcards. There are a number of methods folks can use.
I can select something thematic or tricky based on the scenario.
You can also go random. I usually throw some thematic flavor spin on why these are happening at any rate.
Let me know your preference. In either event, I will track Wildcard use and use them all as evenly as possible. And I'll be using Peril, Onslaught, and Harrow Wildcards.

I'm interested in playing though I have no idea what I'll play. I could use suggestions for that. The last few characters I've played have been casters so I think I'm ready for a non-caster and generally I'm fond of characters with powers that make for interesting play. I've had a blast playing Aric/Red Raven or Radovan, for example. EST time zone. I'm fine with you picking the wildcards or doing random. Mostly I just enjoy that they make the game more challenging and complex.
Iceman |
I'm mostly interested in going after Blackjack Quinn.
But I could also get into: Warpriest Uliah, Magus Zvarbel, Summoner Zetha (with or without Blackjack)
I think I've only seen Quinn played once in a TTS game for PaizoCon in '20 or '21. But I cannot recall anything about the character. ;)
Zvarbel looks like she could be good and I've heard she can be fun once you hit the role card, but I've never had the guts to grind it out to that point.
Love Zetha. So strong in Wrath with a mythic path that boosted Dex.

Ahhh, I remember playing alongside your Radovan. Good times!
Given that criteria, I would suggest Arueshalae (WotR), Seelah (Core), or Skizza (Gunslinger)

I have a couple of others interested. I'm guessing we won't start until January given the holidays.
I'm still mostly sold on Quinn but know that I'm sharing some stats and Item Card emphasis with Mavaro. So I'm still keeping my options open.
And I'll note that all of Iceman's suggestions are excellent!
Marvy to his friends |
Mavaro actually requires very few upgrades and most of those are spells. I think I can map out my possible upgrades.
Tier 1
Spell 1 Spirit Surge, Locate Object
Item 1 Binder's Tome
Tier 2
Spell 2 Fly maybe
Blessing 2 Blessing of the Master of Masters\
Tier 3
Spell 3 Create Mindscape maybe, Restorative Touch
Blessing 3 Blessing of Isis
Tier 4
Spell 4 Channel the Gift
Item 4 Magnetic Grimoire
Ally 4 Ice Chemist
Blessing 4 Blessing of the Seventh Veil
Tier 5
Item 5 Samisen of Oracular Vision
Tier 6'
Spell 6 Shapechange, Arcane Cannonade, Rejuvenation?
Blessing 6 Blessing of the All-Seeing Eye
I think that's it for the priority upgrades.
Marvy to his friends |
A minor character consideration, If someone passes me a Blessing of the Elements it is a big boost for me.
MauveAvengr |
I'm tentatively interested in playing. After the holidays, my schedule is (hopefully) going to become a lot less hectic.
I'd want to play someone who I haven't seen played before, perhaps the goblin Nok-Nok, the hunter Korundo, or the bard Meliski. I typically play half-casters, so if you guys have any suggestions for rarely seen characters, I'd be open to it too. My favorite games have been with the paladin Koren and magus Zvarbel.
I'm on PST. Don't have a computer at work so can only post pre-work or late in the evenings when I'm home.
Marvy to his friends |
Varril seems powerful with him depending heavily on one stat and can be rolling 1d8 +11 on every check.
Hakon seems versatile and it is nice to have someone in the party we can feed cards to for bury abilities.
Rise of the Runelords Lini has potential adding 1d4 +2 to her every check and recharging allies to explore.
Maznar adding 1d4 +1 to all local checks is probably better but you may have seen me play him a couple of times.
Estra with the Smash adventure deck is just amusing.
Core Seelah can be pretty strong adding to any local check as long as there is enough healing.
Skull and Shackle Alahazra - Stargazer is an examining machine and can be a big help if we have a lot of players and are running out of hours.
Marvy to his friends |
Hmm. While Varril has some functional overlap as Mavaro and Mavaro is almost certainly a stronger character, I have never played an Inquisitor before and I have played Mavaro before. So I think I will audible to Varril.

Hey old friends!!
I saw your thread start up in the “recent posts” section of the boards and I just wanted to give a friendly wave. Have a great game! Kick the Whispering Tyrant in the crotch for me!
