Just a heads up GM, I am traveling pretty much all day for a hunting trip this weekend, last weekend of duck season in arkansas, so I will be out of pocket till later this afternoon. The camp where I stay doesn't have internet so I will be posting from my phone this weekend. I will still post 1/day, and will try for more.
If you need to bot me all his info is under his profile.
Rabbit season!

Sorry folks, back from trip! Thanks for botting!

It was redic.. I would have to think hard to remember a better 3 days of hunting to end the season. 129 killed including a hybrid mallard/pintail. Was awesome.
I apologize if any of you are pita people..

I've never been hunting (despite my uncle occasionally trying to convince me to come along) but I had a friend who's roommate in college would go hunting around this time of year and stock up the freezer with meat for the semester. His other roommate was a brewer, so they had meat and beer for the semester stocked up on day 1. Sounds much better than the standard college diet of ramen and cheap watered-down beer.

I would prefer not to drown in sewage or play some 'race the sewage flooding back in' mini-game? I would LIKE to stick together, but since no one rigged the pump to keep running even if someone tried to shut it off and since Wei doesn't have the necessary skill level to do that...
If someone *could* do that, it'd be awesome... maybe?

![]() |

I can't offer much for either rigging the pump or defending it. I do feel we do have the options to escape with magically accelerated ways if we were forced to. I would rather stick together even at the risk of sewage race, but barring that I can offer my support and split my abilities to try to support both groups.

As a heads up, next weekend (not this weekend) I'll be out at a local convention (Strategicon if anyone is in southern California). Depending on how we are pacing vs the schedule, I'll likely have one of the standby GM's cover this thread over the weekend. If we are doing well and are ahead of schedule I'll probably put us on pause or just put a few weak phone posts out over the weekend. Just figured I should give you all a heads up so you aren't surprised if a random GM leaps in and takes over for a couple days.

Hmm, might still be a bit far for me to travel, I'm in Murrieta. However, the gaming scene here is either very well hidden or non-existent. So glad I have PbP.

Believe we're all good to go, here.

Roary, I concur that I have felt your posting rate has been fine.

![]() |

You ever get the feeling a scenario wasn't *quite* ready for the party antics?

![]() |

Sorry for the absence on posting, this fight has been sort of confusing with 'uncertain footing' as to where we're standing...
The idea I *had* was that while the party was busy tangling with the 'activated monk', Wei was going to tuck wings then HALO drop onto the Emissary.
However, due to other issues, didn't get a chance to post it, and am now leery of doing it for risk of endangering the party.
Is it legit, should I go for it?
We could even consider the turns spent 'on delay' Wei flying above and looking as inconspicuous as possible for the 'set-up'?

It may be safe to assume that the emissary is protected by plot armor. You haven't really missed any turns since I've been rerolling initiative for each monk. Normally I wouldn't in person, but since they are considered separate encounters it seemed like a good way to imply that there are dozens of monks surrounding him, and initiative represents how quickly you identify your newest foe.

Shifty |

"Your 21st century rules lawyer views and tricky pedantry are unwelcome here Pathfinder, follow Sifu's instructions you must" /beats the person with a stick "You have not snatched the pebble from my hand Grasshopper, you are not yet ready to leave the monastery" /beats person some more "Fight my monks you will!"
:)

I have... reason to believe that some of the other tables may be in a rough patch dealing with these monks. I think I'll take the brakes off and stop rerolling initiative and just have them jump in as they drop. Let you guys start racking up some kills so that poor tier 3-4 table facing level 7 monks doesn't have to.

Im at 1/2 hps with 2 rounds of displacement left, but I also have pp to pay for a rez so im game..

All right guys, that was one hell of a fightfest and you pulled through with flying colors!
So... without further ado...
Let it be known that the following Pathfinders have secured entry to the Ruby Phoenix Tournament:
Huscarl Roary 'I don't need no stinkin haste' Flamebearer
Quiven 'I don't need no stinkin sneak attack' Glist
Wei Ji, spotter of invisible ninjas
Little Shins, with big songs of good hope and inevitable doom
Baron Hiram 'Wallslayer' Kell

Woohoo!
Thanks very much everyone, thoroughly enjoyed the game.
Now to find someone interested in running the Ruby Phoenix Tournament,

![]() |

Interested in going for sure.. Was super fun, thanks to the GM's and the players! Good times!

![]() |

Indeed! So, when's the next one? :)

![]() |

Thank you very much for running!
Would it be possible to get Chronicles in a .pdf format?
Eagle Knight Wei Ji, 'Finds The Hidden Ninja', Of the Home Office

![]() |

Wei Ji, try here for a PDF of your chronicle.
If it didn't work, well, I don't normally do this stuff. :)

![]() |

Thank you everyone for letting me join you on this adventure. I do hope I was able to help everyone at least a bit along the way.

![]() |

Quiven, thanks for converting the sheet for Wei Ji.
I'll be closing the thread soon, but the chronicles will be kept on my drive for quite a while. The scenario should now be reported. If you have any issues or need corrections send me a PM.
