Cassie whimpers "He's here! He's still here. I told you he wouldn't leave me!" she tentatively raises her hand and points to the area where she hears the man talking. "He's going to punish you! You should go before it's too late. Master will kill you like he did the rest of them!"

Once the man is revealed, Surexeria steps up and attempts to run him through!

Sorix waits for Mawl to move. Horillo continues advancing and casts his spell on Mawl to protect him from evil. Cass continues trying to warn the others about her 'master' and attempting them to flee before it is too late. Surxeria waits on Sorix while Mawl strikes out at the corner of the room but doesn't hit anything, perhaps the man dodged his blow. He tries to sound intimidating but after the second time not hitting the man his words come off as hollow.

When he finally steps back and Sorix casts her spell in the corner where Mawl and Cass indicate they heard the man. As a burst of glitter appears it quickly becomes apparent that if he was even ever there, he no longer is, but Cass is no covered in glitter. Luckily, knowing what is about to happen she closes her eyes before the spell goes of and manages to avoid the blinding light of the spell. Surexeria looks around, still with no target to attack and waits to act.

Moments later the man appears, but there is more than one of him, as he attacks Sorix and shouts at her "No one else gets to abuse her beside me!"

Seeing her master cut into the woman who was trying to help angered Cassie. Though she wasn't willing to grab her whip or do anything else, she could at least try to focus these poor souls before he struck them down.

Cosing her eyes and sucking in a breath to calm and pace herself, she slowly begins to sing. Her voice starts soft like a whisper, slow and controlled "It's like a stooooooooorrrm, that cuts a paaaaaaaaath. It's breeeeeeeeaks your will, it feeeeeels like that."

Her voice gradually gains volume and strength the more she sings. "You think you're looooossst, but your not loooooooooooooooost on yourrrrrr ooooooooown, you're not alone."

Inspire Courage. +1 morale bonus on saving throws against charm and fear effects and a +1 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls.

Mawl rushes over to where the man appeared and again attempts to bluster and intimidate, while striking out with inspiration.

Seeing the magic user appear, Horillo moves round and to surround the man, taking out his dagger as he does. His new position will make it easier for Mawl to flank the man to completely surround him. He stabs at the man.

”Ouch! Why you…” Sorix winces as she’s struck by a mace. She steps 5 feet into the doorway and swiftly pops a scroll of obscuring mist out of one of her spring-loaded wrist sheaths.

With the man now visible again Surexeria moves up behind him to attack. When she strikes out she ends up not hitting the man but some illusion of him which immediately dissipates. Sorix steps out of the corner and retrieves a scroll hoping to find an opportunity to use it. Horillo moves up to attack the man with his dagger but ends up missing. Cass starts singing and even though you don't know the woman you find the tune oddly inspiring. Mawl continues to try and intimidate the man with no success and fails to connect with his swing.

The man not worried about the others with all their missed attacks continues to focus on Sorix, landing another solid blow on her. The man steps down know Sorix can't do anything as he calls on a dark blessing and another copy of him appears.

She looks over hesitantly at her whip laying at her feet, trying to decide whether she should risk picking it up or not. Her hand twitches, but doesn't move from her knee.

Sorix groans with an ”Ugh!” as she’s hit with another mace blow. ”Take note of where he is—it’s about to get really misty in here! And when you do attack, you might want to close your eyes; yes I'm serious!” The 50% miss chance from having your eyes closed is better odds of hitting than the chance you have with hitting multiple copies. She looks woozy on her feet as she steps 5 feet behind the wall that connects to the doorway then activates her scroll of obscuring mist. It doesn't actually go through walls but it was easier for me to draw the whole thing.

Surexeria keeps pace with the man, stabbing at him and hoping to hit him with her blade this time instead of the false copy. ”Clever man, but surely you realize this tactic won’t save you forever! Best bet is to give up and beg for mercy, ya scurvy dog!”

Surexeria strikes out at the man again, once again hitting his illusion rather than the man himself. Sorix moves into one of the larger offices and casts her spell as mist spills out into the room making it difficult for everyone to see.

As Sorix hits an image of the man, Horillo is able to discern which are the remaining images or the real man, so tries to strike with his dagger, through the mists that grow, but the shadows swirl around the man making him hit only air.

Horillo and Mawl move up to join Surexeria but with the mist all around it makes it difficult for them to see the man and neither get close to hitting him.

With the mage hiding somewhere he turns his attention to the woman that keeps messing up his spells and lashes out at her with his weapons.

Continuing to sing, Cassie looks around for her master, wondering if perhaps he finally left? With much trepidation, she reaches out and snatches up her whip into her right hand and slowly takes her feet. Her hand trembles with fear, hoping that this group has scared him off and that he isn't going to return to hurt her anymore.

Could I actually be saved? Is he gone?

Maybe the mist was more trouble than it was worth! At least I’m still alive, for now.
”Um, get him!” Sorix calls out fairly weakly. Sorix takes a half-hearted swipe with her dagger at the foe.

Surexeria finally manages to connect an attack as she stabs the man in the arm with her rapier drawing first blood on him. Sorix steps up and back into the open as she feebly tries to stab the man with a dagger but can't even find him to try and hit with the mist all over the place. Horillo on the other hand has better luck this time managing to also finally land a blow on the man with his dagger.

Cass can hear the sounds of battle in the mist but can't really make anything out, she gets bold and decides to pick up the whip while continuing to sing her inspiring song. Mawl continues shouting out empty threats and missing his attacks.

Unable to see what's going on and unable to move from the wall to assist even if she could see, she clutches her hip in her hands and continues to sing in the hopes that these people can rescue her from certain death.

Surexeria manages to land another minor blow to the man. Sorix lays on the floor in a pool of her own blood, but at least she isn't bleeding any longer. Horillo attempts stabbing the man again with his dagger, but this time misses while Mawl still can't hit the man and his threats continue to prove empty. Cass hesitantly continues to sing for the group, hoping to finally be free.

OK, so the dice gods have left us....

Surexeria can't find the man again with the mist all over the place she tries to strike out but only hits empty air. Sorix lays silent on the ground while Horillo futilely stabs at the man who deftly dodge the strike. Cass continues singing, her voice cracking now and then as the fear of her potential saviors failure becomes more and more a reality. Mawl has the same issues as Surexeria, as the mist clouds his sight and he can't find the man to hit, which continue to make his threats hollow.

For the first time since Sorix conjured the mist, the man can't find Surexeria to land his attack either, giving her a brief reprieve.

Cassie is nearing the end of her song and she knows she doesn't have much more that she can do to help these folks kill her torturer from her position. She can't tell them to come to her for help without him hearing either. Hoping that they overcome the challenges in the other room, she sings the last verse of the song.

Last round of inspire courage. I have lingering performance, so you still get a few more rounds after this one but now would be an excellent time to wrap this up! ;)

As Cassandixia's voice begins to loose its potency, Horillo calls on Erastil to bless his allies in their efforts to complete the fight, after moving slightly back from the nasty cleric.

5ft step back and then cast Bless +1 to hit and +1 save on fear for allies.

Surexeria steps back from the man, pulls out a potion and drinks it to heal some of her wounds. Horillo steps back as well as he casts a spell to try and help the group put an end to the the foe they are facing. Cass sings the end of the song with nothing else left to do then pray these potential saviors come through. Mawl swings again, but the mist seems to really be giving him a hard time as he doesn't even come close to hitting the man.

With no one left to fight the man turns his attention to Mawl and attacks.
