Sorix also does not find any magic in the room. With nothing of interest and the only other thing left, the double doors toward the meditation garden, Surexeria moves up to check the doors for traps.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Not finding anything she gives Mawl the all clear who then opens the doors.

Let me know if there is anything you are doing or just opening the door.

Mawl swings the doors open. Jars of preserved fruits and vegetables and stacks of salted meat fill shelves carved into the bedrock walls. A half dozen tables in the room are heaped with scrolls, books, and parchments with several more Azmodeans around them. At the north eastern side of the room you see it opens up into a much larger room filled with a garden, which seems extremely out of place for being underground. In the entrway stands a hulking man, or maybe not completely man. In the garden, across a small river you see a woman sitting at a desk reviewing some papers. Those of you who attended the protest recognize her as the woman who took the dagger to the neck and the wound started healing. Cass recognizes her as the woman leading these Asmodeans and the one who captured her.

While the two Asmodeans seem to avoid getting glitter in their eyes, the half-man does not and flails about trying to rub his eyes. Cass starts her inspiring song while Surexeria charges forward stabbing the nearest Asmodean, he is barely able to keep his feet. Mawl charges forward as well attacking the other closest Asmodean.

Sorix casts her spell causing Mawl's muscles to bulge and grow. Surexeria finishes off the Asmodean she attacked before he even realizes what is happening he ends up on the ground, bleeding out, as she moves toward her next target.

Mawl strikes out at the man in front of him finishing him off with ease and then moving in closer to the next foe. Cass pulls out her whip and cracks it loudly which in an attempt to intimidate those nearby, which between that and the two already dead seems to work.

Horillo puts two arrows in the half-man thing still trying to get glitter out of its eyes so that it can see as it yells in pain from the two arrows now stuck in him.

The woman in the other room stands up, ignoring Surexeria's threats as she begins casting a spell. The remaining Asmodeans move forward to try and fight off the invaders while the clumsy half-man, feels around for the nearby wall to try and take cover from more arrows.

Attack-Surexeria: 1d20 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 - 2 = 12

Sorix pulls out a scroll and begins to cast the spell inscribed on it, preparing to make Mawl even more deadly than he already is. She tells the others that the half-man creature is an ogrekin, the unlikely spawn of a human and an ogre, often born with deformities, and this one seemed to have an over-sized maw likely making it easier for him to bite people. Surexeria, upon the table, bobs in and out, like she is going to strike but doesn't until the Asmodean she is fighting leaves an opening while trying to defend and she stabs him straight through the heart.

However, the zealot shrugs off the attempt at mental control, un-phased by the spell. Horillo looses two arrows in rapid succession at the remaining man. Both strike true hitting him in the shoulder and the thigh, but the man keeps his feet.

The Asmodean, wounded and outnumbered tries to retreat to regroup with the other forces in the garden. You hear the ogerkin complaining about not being able to see, still hiding behind the wall in the other room. The woman with the stark white eyes finishes casting her spell as a demon, made of gooey, fatty flesh comes into existence near the entrance to the room. She moves up toward the creature and casts another spell as she touches it and its muscles bulge and it gets a frenzied look in its eyes.

She calls out from behind the cover of the wall "You may have dispatched my redactors but you'll find I am not so easy to kill!"

Surexeria, you would get an AoO on the fleeing Asmodean.

Protection from evil:

This spell wards a creature from attacks by evil creatures, from mental control, and from summoned creatures. It creates a magical barrier around the subject at a distance of 1 foot. The barrier moves with the subject and has three major effects.

First, the subject gains a +2 deflection bonus to AC and a +2 resistance bonus on saves. Both these bonuses apply against attacks made or effects created by evil creatures.

Second, the subject immediately receives another saving throw (if one was allowed to begin with) against any spells or effects that possess or exercise mental control over the creature (including enchantment [charm] effects and enchantment [compulsion] effects, such as charm person, command, and dominate person. This saving throw is made with a +2 morale bonus, using the same DC as the original effect. If successful, such effects are suppressed for the duration of this spell. The effects resume when the duration of this spell expires. While under the effects of this spell, the target is immune to any new attempts to possess or exercise mental control over the target. This spell does not expel a controlling life force (such as a ghost or spellcaster using magic jar), but it does prevent them from controlling the target. This second effect only functions against spells and effects created by evil creatures or objects, subject to GM discretion.

Third, the spell prevents bodily contact by evil summoned creatures. This causes the natural weapon attacks of such creatures to fail and the creatures to recoil if such attacks require touching the warded creature. Summoned creatures that are not evil are immune to this effect. The protection against contact by summoned creatures ends if the warded creature makes an attack against or tries to force the barrier against the blocked creature. Spell resistance can allow a creature to overcome this protection and touch the warded creature.

Even with Horillo's protection the ogerkin finds and opening and stabs Mawl, nearly knocking him off his feet.

The woman grins and then comments "What are you going to do without your big friend to protect you all?" She then launches her own attack on Mawl.

Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
Damage: 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9

She scowls at Mawl as her glaive looks like it is going to slice into him but bounces off some invisible shield of force, thanks to Horillo.

As we are all on the same initiative I would like you all to move first. I want to back up a 5'step so I can be presumably out of their range to hit me, yet in range to still swing at either of them, it will be her. Either way it will keep them having to keep coming toward us, maybe allowing for divide and conquer or at least path to flank, assuming I live. So I am waiting to move because I would cover your icons and then you couldn't access them

Sorix backs up from Mawl to give him some more room to fight as she pulls out another scroll getting ready to use it if the woman casts another spell. Surexeria goes the opposite direction and stabs the ogerkin with a solid blow tot he shoulder, but he just grunts in pain and growls at her, spit flying in her face from the roar. Mawl steps back trying to put some room between him and the woman and attacks, but as he does, the woman steps up with him to maintain the distance.

Got to love the step up feat. :D

Even so, he lands a solid blow on the woman, piercing her flesh with his bec, though her armor catches the worst of it and she isn't all that injured. Cass flings her whip right past Surexeria and latches it around the ogerkins feet, pulling him to the ground with a thud. Horillo heals some of Mawls wounds before moving further back into the room.

The ogerkin, sneers and stabs its spear at Surexeria and then tries to bit her in the leg now that she has gotten his attention.

She dodges the spear, but as she does she pivots her foot closer to him and he bites into her leg tearing out some her flesh and then swallowing it with a grin.

As the woman gets ready to attack, anyone nearby can see that her recent wound from Mawl begins to heal all on its own, and you remember something similar happening at the protest when she was struck with the dagger. She shakes her head and glares at Mawl "You'll have to do better than that big guy..." She tighetns her grip on her glaive and squares her feet to put some extra force into the attack.

Attack, PA: 1d20 + 11 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 11 - 2 = 24
Damage, PA: 1d10 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 4 = 15

The blow is well placed and nearly drops him to the floor again, undoing all the healing Horillo just gave him.

@Sorix You wouldn't have line of effect to the woman from there and I don't see any other options that don't open you up to an AoO. Let me know how you want to proceed.

Sorix waits for an opening to move up and help. Surexeria jumps past the ogerkin careful to avoid opening herself up to an attack, but as she is drinking her potion the woman adjusts her grip on her glaive and tries to smack her with the pole. Luckily, Surexeria sees it coming just in time to duck out of the way.

Mawl growls and brings his weapon down, with a solid blow, smacking the woman in the chest with his weapon, leaving a pretty serious wound. Even so she seems still more than capable of continuing to fight. Horillo, stay in the back careful not to get any of the enemies in his area of effect as he unleashes a pulse of healing energy, healing some of Mawl's wounds.

Cass pulls out her dagger and stabs at the ogerkin on the ground. Being prone makes him an easy target and she stabs him in the thigh, which seems to only serve in pissing him off. Sorix gets closer to the battle, visible uneasy with being this close to the brutally efficient woman. She casts a spell unleashing a spray of vivid colors over her enemies.

Nox: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Ogerkin: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
2d4 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6
1d4 ⇒ 2

The woman hears Sorix casting the spell and turns away just in time to avoid the colors hampering her, while the ogerkin is not as lucky. The colors overwhelm him and he passes out.

Again the woman's wounds continue slowly healing, undoing some of the damage Mawl has done before striking out at Mawl, hoping to finally put him down so she can turn her attention on the lesser threats.

Attack, PA: 1d20 + 11 - 2 ⇒ (13) + 11 - 2 = 22
Damage, PA: 1d10 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 8 + 4 = 16

Just making sure I have his AC right. He is at Base 20, -2 from Enlarge (-1 from the -2 Dex and then -1 from the size AC decrease), then +2 from Protection from Evil, puts him back at 20? If so Mawl is down and bleeding out.
