Do you need to spend a move action to move the sphere, the undead didn't move?

Oh, and the rng doesn't like Flora this fight. 8(

12/15/18 - 10/11/13 Social Media Booster (CPR),

Good gravy those are some bad rolls, Flora! Ash, the wand will require a Concentration check, and unfortunately that will use the CL of the wand. Fortunately, a 19 passes! My understanding is that since the Flaming Sphere only does damage on entering a square, Ash was correct in using the move action.

Reflex: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 5 + 1 = 16

The Dullahan ducks out of the way of the ball of fire, shedding most of Oleander's arrows, though it is beginning to look rather abraded by the sheer number of projectiles that have caromed off of its armor!

Katana: 1d20 + 16 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 16 - 2 = 24
Slashing + Cold: 1d8 + 10 + 6 + 2d6 ⇒ (4) + 10 + 6 + (2, 5) = 27
Katana: 1d20 + 11 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 11 - 2 = 15
Slashing + Cold: 1d8 + 10 + 6 + 2d6 ⇒ (8) + 10 + 6 + (1, 1) = 26

Hate pours forth from Michiko's eyes as Little Foot barely manages to keep her blade from his flesh! Hissing defiance, she withdraws further into her chamber.

Wow, was sure I was getting shredded... her attack bonus was much higher vs poor Kato!

Little Foot sees the undead Michiko stepping away, and he scowls, unsure whether to follow or stay blocking the doorway. Unfortunately, he is not known for his tactics in a fight, and the woman is the obvious threat. He presses his attack, commanding Fairbeaks to stop messing around, and chomp on her already!

"You should have stayed home." He growls at her in Tien.

Melee1, PA, bane, shaken: 1d20 + 11 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 11 + 3 - 2 = 29, for 1d8 + 6 + 6 + 3 + 2d6 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 6 + 3 + (4, 4) = 31 damage.
Melee2, PA, bane, shaken: 1d20 + 6 - 2 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 6 - 2 + 3 - 2 = 11, for 1d8 + 6 + 6 + 3 + 2d6 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 6 + 3 + (2, 2) = 27 damage.

"I should have stayed home." He grumbles to himself in dwarvish a moment later.

The axebeak clearly doesn't like the unnatural creature getting so close, but responds to his companion's commands with an angry squawk! The large, axe-like beak snaps out, trying to crush her helmet like a large nut.

Bite, shaken: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 9 - 2 = 24, for 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (6, 1) + 8 = 15 damage.

And boo for her stepping away! =)
Was going to step Fairbeaks forward a step, and try to drag Kato out using the Fetch trick =), but now she's in the way

Again Nicklod tries to heal Theo.

12/15/18 - 10/11/13 Social Media Booster (CPR),

Nicklod closes the last of Theo's wounds as the dwarf pursues the dread samurai. Unfortunately, the dullahan follows quickly into the breach in the line, hoping to harvest less protected souls!

Longsword at Nicklod: 1d20 + 14 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 14 + 1 = 35

More pleased with her grouping of shots this time, Oleander hopes the horrible knight will just die for good this time.

Cwethan, Did none of Theo (or the bird's) attacks hit? You seem to have missed his actions in the summary. Unless 24+ isn't enough anymore?

12/15/18 - 10/11/13 Social Media Booster (CPR),

Sorry, forgot to actually change the hp totals, but now that Oleander's landed a shot as well...

With a soul-rending cry that speaks of immortality betrayed, the baleful light within Michiko's armor goes dark, and she abruptly clatters to the ground.

Ah, ok! Was going to get worried if a 29 missed =)

Theo gives a relieved sigh, as Oleander's arrows finally finish off the hateful creature that was once Michiko. He immediately turns his attention back to the remaining headless undead threatening Nicklod.

melee1, PA, bane, shaken: 1d20 + 11 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 11 + 3 - 2 = 17, for 1d8 + 6 + 6 + 3 + 2d6 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 6 + 3 + (1, 6) = 26 damage.

Again, he swings the undead bane sword, sending a quick call to Fairbeaks to move around and back him up. The bird does just that, as it moves over towards the fallen Kato, and lashes out with its mighty beak at the headless undead!

bite, flank, shaken: 1d20 + 9 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 9 + 2 - 2 = 29, for 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (5, 4) + 8 = 17 damage.

Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

The dullahan ably parries Theo's blade, but as Fairbeaks grabs hold of the grim swordsman, Ash and Flora are able to blast it apart!

As the last of the undead falls, the atmosphere begins to grow lighter. The rooms are still unlit, still dark, but the gloom still seems to have lifted.

With what you have found, and now that this locus of darkness has been cleansed, you believe it is possible you could repair the ritual that once guarded this crypt.

The Exchange

"Bloody hell." Theo mutters, as he kicks the remains of the nearest undead, to make sure it's not going to get up again.

"Something really messed this place up good, to create that kind of thing." He says.

We found a description of the ritual earlier, yes? And the holy symbol used for it? What else would be involved?

12/15/18 - 10/11/13 Social Media Booster (CPR),

Essentially just the will to do so!

You know a lot of what to expect from the ritual after finding the scrap of vellum with many of the details still written upon it, and with the specially-crafted holy symbol you are able to scrounge up the rest of the tools you might need. Perhaps most importantly, you have seen the level of erosion that the pulse of energy left in its wake, and you are able to take appropriate shelter rather than be cleansed or trapped as well.

After the sudden wave of carefully focused energy has rippled through the dungeon, the whole area feels much more... alive.

Upon your return to Uscalin Lodge, Venture-Captain Shevar Besnik asks What all did you end up finding? I'm planning to put together quite a Chronicle once I've heard back from the teams that are investigating some of the other passages from the tome.

Technically there's still a pit trap somewhere in the dungeon, but I'm willing to call it "successfully bypassed!"

Hope you guys had fun, chronicles should be up later today.

Kato thinks hard and then replies to the venture captain I found out why I am not a brave person to begin with sir! But also that the sisters tomb had been CORRUPTED and she had been living on as an abomination! Don't worry though, we fixed it.

12/15/18 - 10/11/13 Social Media Booster (CPR),

I knew you would triumph! Just goes to show I picked the right Pathfinders to seek out adventure while unknown dangers lurked. There could have been almost anything there! Go and rest while I put our report together for the Ten. Surely, this addition to the Chronicles will put Uscalin Lodge on the map!

And as for the sisters, though I may joke about the crusaders, they play a vital part in the service of good. You, too, have done important work today. You have removed a pressing danger and helped the spirit of
an ancient hero find rest. Well done, Pathfinders. I hope you are as proud of yourselves as I am of you.
