You should be able to flank the one West of Cor at half speed and with only one oppenent threatening you if you want to go that direction.
Finch of the Breeze
Haven't had much time to be around today, nor anything to add, but checking in to say hi.
Figured that was how it worked, Captain.
Iaco, I moved you on the map as requested.
Finch of the Breeze
I've got a lot on my plate today, so it might be a bit before I can post. My apologies.
Sasha the Mouse
Yeesh, my sympathies, Cap'n. My week is perhaps a little more fun, but no less hectic. Cleaning the car as guest conveyance, get a load of printing done, shopping for the iron chef party, preparing food for the iron chef party, transporting equipment, artwork, and prize support to the convention venue... and that's just before Thursday!

Hannah heals Johan as he finishes his inspection of the unconscious wolf. Rising he thanks Hanna for the curing and his would closes partly. Still down 4 He still looks troubled though. These wolves are not rabid as I first feared. Their disease is not natural at all. I am no alchemist but recognize their state as alchemical induced. Someone drugged these animals in order to encourage them to mad violence and then release them on the town. Let us keep this one alive as proof. He will go about tying it so that it cannot run or bite.

Captain, you mentioned registering on the wiki to be able to throw in items of interest and such. How do you we do that? I might just be missing it but I don't see a registration option.
Corentin the Younger
That page tells me I'm not an admin and so can't create an account. Looking at special pages under Login/Create Account the only option I'm given is Login.
Corentin the Younger
I tacked on a few locals in the NPC section and also added a section called "Giantslayer quest info (player)" for us to put down things we've found and people we've talked to. I started a page beneath that which covers our investigations so far. If you guys get the chance take a look and let me know if things should be added/changed.

Thanks, it was fun to do. Reminded me of a few leads we need to look into as well :)

I wanted to give a heads up that I will be traveling starting tomorrow afternoon to attend a Mid South Con where I am helping run PFS. I'll be busy often without access to the internet so my posting will be very limited if at all. Everyone have a good weekend.
GM Captain Trips
Throwing you all a bit of a bone here. You are missing a pretty critical piece of information that might clear itself up here.
Information at Odds:
1. Rodrik lost his hopeknife.
2. Lovers exchange hopeknives.
3. This means he lost Brinya's hopeknife, which you just discovered.
4. He ordered a knife to replace hers, but it wasn't completed yet.
5. So what did he kill himself with?
You never actually bothered to inspect the murder/suicide weapon.
Corentin the Younger
I thought we did look at the knife and found it was unengraved. I will say I'd been looking at it wrong though. My thought was that Brinya had had a knife made for him (which he lost) and the knife he had was his original unengraved knife. So the clarification is appreciated :)

Its hard, at least for me, to keep all the clues strait in a PBP. The slower pace the delayed postings hamper me. I even take notes, and still miss seemingly obvious clues. Thanks for the help.
GM Captain Trips
I thought we had look at the murder weapon? Which is why Hannah asked if the murder weapon had been planted by the murderer.
Yea, I forgot that you all did discover that part. That is where you would have learned it had no engraving, and you got the info that they are usually engraved when exchanged. My bad there :)

Too bad about the poem. It might have been a cool plot line to have had the poem Rodrik wrote in the interest of racial tolerance speak to a minority in the besieged town. Initially peaceful they revere Rodrik as their visionary leader. He initially enjoys the attention and like-mindedness but in time the group starts to become more aggressive in their desire to see that towns thinking "elevated". Being more of a moderate and understanding the realities of the towns situation Rodrik leaves the group and it seems to dissolve.
Time passes and it turns out the more militant members of the group have resurrected it with a more progressive agenda. Taking on the crossed white sword symbol of the fictional orc tribe in Rodriks poem they begin hatching plots to forcibly integrate orc culture into town. They make use of the Plague House as their meeting place both because it's outside of town and because the tales around it keep anyone from traveling there (in classic Scooby Doo fashion). Having made an alliance with an orc tribe (who plans on betraying them) they have started hatching a nefarious plot there.
In the meantime Rodrik becomes aware of something strange going on and starts investigating. Unaware that it's his old band of tag alongs he follows the breadcrumb trail until he's close to unraveling the whole thing at which point they're forced to act early and kill him.
I suppose that would be more about orcs and humans than giants though.

Sorry to hear you're sick.

I'll probably not have a chance to level up before tomorrow. My apologies.

Before I forget, if anyone can grab Alchemist Fire or acid before we go it would probably be helpful. Cor has torches but they're usually not the best option. Maybe a K:Nature check on the Flood Trolls to see if there's anything special about them?

HP: Average rounded up: 5 +1 (Con) = 6
BAB +1
Fort +1
Will +1
Fervor (Su): At 2nd level, Iacobus can draw upon the power of his faith to heal wounds or harm foes. He can also use this ability to quickly cast spells that aid in his struggles. This ability can be used 4 times per day.
By expending one use of this ability, Iacobus can touch a creature to heal it of 1d6 points of damage, plus an additional 1d6 points of damage for every 3 warpriest levels he possesses above 2nd (to a maximum of 7d6 at 20th level). Using this ability is a standard action (unless Iacobus targets himself, in which case it’s a swift action). Alternatively, Iacobus can use this ability to harm an undead creature, dealing the same amount of damage he would otherwise heal with a melee touch attack. Using fervor in this way is a standard action that provokes an attack of opportunity. Undead do not receive a saving throw against this damage. This counts as positive energy.
As a swift action, Iacobus can expend one use of this ability to cast any one warpriest spell he has prepared. When cast in this way, the spell can target only Iacobus, even if it could normally affect other or multiple targets. Spells cast in this way ignore somatic components and do not provoke attacks of opportunity. Iacobus does not need to have a free hand to cast a spell in this way.
Spells: +1 Orison, +1 1st level spell

Are trolls not giants? As far as I remember, trolls are Humanoid(Giant), much like... well, actual giants.
The description for Knowledge(Nature) says:
Animals, fey, giants, monstrous humanoids, plants, vermin
I'm not sure I understand why Knowledge(Nature) wouldn't tell me much.
GM Captain Trips
They are humanoids, which fall under knowledge local. You are quoting from the D20 PFSRD, which has a separate entry for "Monster Lore". However, the D20 PFSRD is not completely legal in all cases.
Giants are a subtype of humanoids, and to my knowledge have always fallen under Kn:Local.
Keep in mind, knowledge checks deal with Creature Types only. Giant is not a creature type.
In essence, that table on the D20 PFSRD is wrong. :)
Finch of the Breeze
Ahh. That's too bad, heh.

Sorry, I am in Breckenridge Colorado for a quick ski trip. I hope to have time to post some, but that did not happen this first travel day. Totally exhausted and have to get up early. I'll be home Sunday.
