A pirate wants to dress in black, kill people with cool weapons, and take a bath? A pirate does all of that.

You forget the inverse law of ninja. The less ninja there are, the more powerful they are. ;-)

Pirates cant do what they want entirely at all. You piss off the Captain, you're dead. You're the captain and you piss of your crew? you're dead. :-p

Nah pirates don't take baths. That culture believed in that "humors" crap where they believed dirt and such actually protected you. It's a rather interesting if gross belief.

Suppose you have one Sarutobi of ninjutsu to go around. That is, the standard measuring unit of ninjutsu, equal to the ability of legendary ninja Sarutobi Sasuke. If you have 100 ninjas, then they each have one centi-Sarutobi of ninjutsu.

The potential skillset of a group of pirates is far wider than that of a group of ninjas.

Completely untrue on the ninja thing. So you'd need a bunch of pirates to be powerful whereas you'd only need 1 ninja to kick some ass with the inverse law, which btw is a JOKE. And even if it were not it would be far more stealthy to have one guy whose power grows if he's just by himself wouldn't it?

Ninja can indeed have brute strength and social skills considering often ninja would have to pretend to be something they were not and gather information on enemies and cause confusion. Ninja would use explosives sometimes to cause sabotauge. ninja would use poisons as well, unarmed fighting skills, even guns. There is also ninja magic if we are going fantasy and in pathfinder itself Ninja have chi.

So what were you saying about ninja having not a lot of options?

Pirates have parrots. Parrots are awesome. That is all. Do ninjas have pets that talk? Nope. Instant pirate victory.

Also if ninjas are better than pirates then why is there a pirate adventure path but not a ninja one? Huh? Huh?

I've definitely not forgotten about Rusty Rooster. I'm just hit a brick wall as far as concepts for that particular game, which sort of sucks. :( We need to get this game back on the road!

Well another GM may follow the book more closely and not like our high stats and the NPCS Silver added that arent in the adventure and other things but it would be nice to at least play...

Yeah, that's the thing. I'd also like to get this going if possible, I've really enjoyed playing with you guys and it's quite a bit of fun. Been thinking of this a lot since my RL group is starting up a game of Skulls and Shackles as well.

Do we want to just post in Recruitment looking for a GM? Do any of you have a good idea of who could run this?
