Partial treasure report.

Teos and Seherab each have a cloak of resistance +1 now. Everyone has a cloak now, and each is a different color since we are a dwarven superhero team.

Teos is going to grab the amulet of natural armor for the moment, if nobody minds.

If Brynark is feeling a little weevil, he could use blood transcription. Just don't let Teos know what's going on...

Anyone have designs on the handy haversack? (Does being haunted override the sacks move-action thing for Ankhef? Hmmmm....) My vote would be Seherab, I think.

Before whatever we find in the next room, we've at least 11k in the party, if anybody has any wish list items.

Yes! I'll absolutely take the handy haversack. My wishlist mostly includes making my shortsword magical at the moment. I know there are some neat investigator-specific items and weapon upgrades that I might look into some day down the road but in the short term I don't have anything in mind.

Also, I have been debating taking a dip into Master of Many Styles. I wanted to stick straight investigator to get the most out of the class and take Kirin Style/Strike down the road but the earliest I could get them is 7th and 9th, respectively. Or I could dip into MoMS and get them right away but I'd have to push back some of the talents I want (particularly Combat Inspiration and Amazing Inspiration). Thoughts?

edit: Also, can you do an Unchained Master of Many Styles? I don't see why not and I also don't see why you wouldn't as the only big difference would be +1 BAB and losing the BAB was another concern of mine in dipping into monk for a level or two.

Even if no one is proficient, we should keep natron's fang. I have a suspicion it will come in handy....

Seherab will want his sword magicified for 2000 gp. If we have enough, some AC-boosting items might be good for Seherab. Or maybe just a belt of incredible dexterity, which would increase his AC and attack.

In absence of additional input, Seherab now has a belt of incredible dexterity and magic weapon. Teos has a belt of giant strength now.

Teos will take two unclaimed potions of cure moderate wounds.

We seem to have about ~3900 gp left, if anyone wants anything.
We seem OK on healing/medical scrolls, but if anyone wants anything now would be a good time to put in a request.

Woo! I can't think of anything else I need at the moment.

If someone else wants to borrow my +1 mithral chain shirt while I wear the mistmail (or if someone else wants the mistmail), speak up. I'm going to hold on to both sets, I guess, until I upgrade the regular mithral shirt and then maybe we can sell the mistmail or someone else can use it.

Another wand is never a bad idea. Seherab seems to have gotten quite a few items lately so maybe the others should speak up with an item or two they want.

I am a Medium Witch in addition to a Winter Witch, so I can do this nifty ability:

Ectoplasmic Aptitude (Su): At 2nd level, the medium can sling spells at ghosts and spirits as surely as at corporeal foes. She gains the Ectoplasmic Spell metamagic feat as a bonus feat. In addition, as an immediate action a number of times per day equal to her Intelligence modifier, the medium can apply the Ectoplasmic Spell feat to any spell she is casting without increasing its spell level.

So, the rod would rarely get used by me. Someone else should use it if they can get some benefit, but (god forbid) it might come in handy if Bryn needs to blow through 6-8 spells on an incorporeal creature.

Ectoplasmic is usually one of the first rods I pick up for my casters. Very useful in a pinch and one of the cheapest (useful) rods in the game. But yeah, Seherab won't be casting any spells.

Decided not to dip into monk as it would delay my studied strike and some of the investigator talents I wanted. It just means I'll have to wait a little longer to get the Kirin Style feats but in the long run I like sticking with investigator better.


I apology for the radio silence. I have had some changes in RL that have left me with little time to even look at a computer. I know this seems to be a frequent excuse of mine lately, but unfortunately that's the ways things have been going. I can only ask that you bear with me.

It's been nearly 30 days since Tek's last post. What is everyone's thoughts on this?

I could take over as GM if everyone wants and we could search for another player or we could search for a new GM or someone else could step up to GM. I'm not opposed to any option, but sitting around just make me forget more and more of the little I know already. :(

I think it's only been hard to get into because it's been so slow and, like Brynark said, it's hard to remember what's going on when the updates aren't coming regularly. But I really like the setting of this AP and enjoy my character and am really curious about where it's going so I would like to keep it alive if possible. But if Teos or anybody else wants to drop, I understand and would be willing to look for and work with new players as needed.

Unfortunately I don't really think I can take on GMing another AP right now (and I really want to play this one for a change). Right now it seems like either we need to find a new GM or let Brynark take over the GMing and replace him with a new player. I'm fine with either option really.


I'd love to be able to continue this game. How far along is his ES game? I might be able to pick that up, at the very least finish the current level.

I think EF is for it, but I'd like Rob and Tangaroa's thoughts, too. If I do step up, then I'd like to get two more players.
