Hey! Trying to drive the GM crazy with two Seherab Glyphkeepers?
Lol. Great minds, huh?

Seherab Menedes Glyphkeeper |

We could be from the same clan if you wanted to stick with Glyphkeeper. I just thought two Seherabs would get confusing.

Ankhef Glyphkeeper |

Alright, back to Glyphkeeper.
One day while minding my own business, I was caught in a powerful spell by a foul and evil undead monstrosity. Our family, while not wealthy in coin has a long and noble history in Osirion and still had enough influence to have me raised from the dead.
The magic did not work easily though. The same eldritch power that sent me to the Boneyard did not let go easily. But my spirit was strong and rose up back to the realm of the living, even if it did drag several unsavory spirits with it.
Now, Ankhef struggles to keep control over the spirits that haunt him while learning to harness their power.

Okay, moving along with Harkuf's information.
GM - Quick question on mechanics - should I just determine HP for my Animal companion the same way it's done for PFS, or some other method?
Just need to figure out a campaign trait and finalize my gear and my constrictor animal companion and I'll be good to go.

Seherab Menedes Glyphkeeper |

By the way, my subscription shipped and the PDFs are in my downloads. I'll be sure not to spoil myself though. But I'm looking forward to the journal entries and other appendix info.

EndlessForms |

Mine still says pending. :(
I read that Champions of Balance was pretty good.
I've got the PDF of that one too but haven't looked at it yet.
I'll also be getting Tears at Bitter Manor, but I'm not holding my breath for timely sanctioning. I'll probably cancel that subscriprion since I got it when it looked like sanctioning was going to be timely...and cool.
I ordered that one from our FLGS so I won't be getting a PDF unless I buy it separately. I've been pretty frustrated/disappointed with the sanctioning recently as well. John Compton does a fine job but he needs to realize that he can't do everything and let other people help him. As we have seen, him trying to do everything himself recently has led to nothing but a massive delay in promised sanctioning.
I was originally hoping Bitter Manor would be sanctioned by the time we finished Dragon's Demand so that we could transition from one to the other but I doubt that will happen, seeing as how long it's taking Wardens chronicles to come out.

GM Tektite |

I should be ready to get started in the next day or so. Let me know when everyone is nearing finishing up, I'll probably do something ala Endless Forms and add on a feat or something. Going to read through it tonight.
My significant other (i.e. the Boss) is out of town tonight through Fri., so I am hoping to get a good start underway.
NO...SLEEP...TILL...WATI!.

Seherab Menedes Glyphkeeper |

I'm ready whenever you are and as this is spring break for IU everyone is taking it easy in the lab this week. Also my RoW game (that has been playing twice a week to finish while I'm still in town) took the week off since we're missing a player.

Hey, so... I just need to decide on another Trait and what gear to buy Harkuf, but I think I have everything else down.
Harkuf is not going to be afraid to mix it up with melee. He will use a quarterstaff - casting shillelagh on it. He'll have a sling for ranged attack.
Jafar the snake is a constrictor and will do what constrictors do.
Any advice on the other trait? I need to re-download the player's guide and check on the campaign traits. I have Tunnel Fighter.
Took the toughness feat. He'll be wearing hide armor.

Teos Oldwise |

I was going to take Deathkeeper from People of the Sands instead of a trait from the campaign guide - it's if that's ok with the DM.
I also reskinned one of the traits that gives bonuses to unarmed damage.

Teos Oldwise |

Maybe mummy cursed? None of the other ones really jump out at me for your character concept?

Seherab Menedes Glyphkeeper |

I don't know, I kinda liked Back Sphinx Boys. . . .
Who does everyone else worship? I chose Ptah (architecture, craftsmanship, creation, metalworking). Seemed like a good one for a dwarf. How about Ptah's Ptroupe? Ptah's Pterror? Ptah's Ptinkerers?

Ankhef Glyphkeeper |

I'm basically ready to go. Still working on my character's personality but its the kind of thing that takes me a few "sessions" to find my voice.

Teos Oldwise |

I'm not completely committed to the idea, but I was considering doing a vow of silence and doing a non-verbal character. It would couple well with the Charisma dump. I would probably promote myself and at least one other character taking Sign Language, something like Sakvroth - it's not a terrible battle language either, if we want to take advantage of our darkvision/ability to operate without light.
However, I would like party feedback before I commit to the idea. I know it could be annoying for me to play such a character. Would anyone have any major issues?

Ankhef Glyphkeeper |

They tend to bother me a bit in tabletop play but I think it's much more doable in pbp land. At level 2 I'd be happy to take a rank in linguistics to grab some form of sign language. Since we can operate in the dark, being able to operate silently could be useful as well.

Seherab Menedes Glyphkeeper |

Yeah, I think it works over PbP just fine. I'm going to take Ancient Osiriani but I'm getting 10 skill ranks/level so I can throw another one in Linguistics at 3rd and pick it up.

Seherab Menedes Glyphkeeper |

Apparently the alchemist's kit doesn't come with rope. Hmph.

Teos Oldwise |

I will be flying on a work trip 3/23 - 4/2; I will be able to post, but only more sporadically.

Teos Oldwise |

I would like to offer to do treasure tracking duties.
I have a sheet. I think some of you recognize it by now.
Do we wish to set aside any amounts for communal "party funds" - a pool of money from which to purchase healing, transportation, group magic, etc? (or perhaps in our case ropes and shovels :) ) I have the sheet to set up such a pool separately.

![]() |

I'm good with pooling the money. We're a team and we work together, so it makes sense to me that we keep communal money. I mean, I'll pool all my money in.

Teos Oldwise |

You certainly can if you want; it's up to you. When you list your character name, you don't have to list the full name in the item sheet - it should pattern match, so you could put in Harkuf instead of your full name.
If you have any feature requests let me know. No promises I'll be able to implement them, but I can try :)
One peculiarity of the sheet as is - if you sell an item, the money gets split up to every one in the party.
I don't think that we need to put *all* the money in the party fund. I think 20% ( a full share) should be adequate (I hope! Depends on how deadly the adventure is I guess...)

Seherab Menedes Glyphkeeper |

I'm fine with keeping all of it as party funds, honestly. Some people might need more expensive items than others. But if splitting it is easier, that's fine too.

Teos Oldwise |

In communist Osirion, money saves you!
I'll rebuild the sheet a bit to reflect a communal philosophy then. (I can do it without impacting any data already entered)
I am inspired to post a Radio Yerevan joke:
"Q: Is there a difference between capitalism and communism?
A: In principle, yes. In capitalism, man exploits man. In communism, it's the reverse."

Seherab Menedes Glyphkeeper |

Ha! Yeah.
I've just seen in my Reign of Winter game (halfway through book 6) they started trying to split the money four ways but have ended up 'lending' it to each other anyways because the oracle claims she doesn't really need much gear besides a headband and a couple of metamagic rods, whereas the magus always something super expensive on his shopping list. So in essence they end up treating it like a communal pot anyways and it works just fine.

Seherab Menedes Glyphkeeper |

Welcome back!
Well, if there's nothing else we can determine from the mirror or in this current room, I suggest we just take it as an omen/vision and keep moving on.

Seherab Menedes Glyphkeeper |

GM Tektite |

Good news
Yeah, I saw that. Still no word on Wardens or Bitter Manor. :(
Makes me tempted to cancel my module subscription.

I know. I don't have a module subscription yet but was going to get one. I still will but this is discouraging. The Dragon's Demand chronicles were so good and the best bang-for-your-buck for PFS credit. I just don't understand what the holdup is.
It's nice to see that Mummy's Mask sanctioning will be happening as it comes out though. I was hoping they'd do that. I pushed for it with Reign of Winter because I thought it was a smart marketing tactic and Mike Brock agreed. Those sheets came out right away and it was awesome (even though I'm just now wrapping up book 6, it was still impressive to see them out a few weeks after the book was released).

Pirate Rob |

Back in January Compton was almost done with the Wardens sanctioning, but had to set it aside as to not miss more important deadlines. I'm sure we'll see sanctioning eventually, but quite possibly not until after Con season at this rate.
I may pick up a copy of Dragon's Demand after I finish Tektite's Dragon's Demand to run IRL, although my current IRL project involves using Hist Arts molds to make 3d terrain for Bonekeep1/2.
After having completed aprox 1.5 rooms I can tell it looks awesome but took about ~10 hours of work to get this far. (Room is primed but no detail in the paint yet.)
I'll share pictures with you guys after I do some more.

Seherab Menedes Glyphkeeper |

Oh, I understand why it's been delayed. I'm not ungrateful for the work John has done. But it is a little frustrating that everyone was expecting it back in January and now four months later we haven't had any word on it. I try not to complain about it too much but I do also think that it's a reasonable complaint to make. Hopefully once Con season is over they will be able to catch back up though and all will be well. Until then I can sit tight and wait.
