The aura of the orrery washes over the room, drowning out any other auras. This potent magical item is, at the very least, a minor artifact and its immense magical aura is kind of making Vladek's eyes hurt as he can't sense any lesser auras in the room, due to the interference.

Qadathra telepathically tells Vladek that he believes the man is suffering from a delusion, possibly from a mental break or from the curse that has turned all of the elves into animal-people.

Joesef looks around the room and finds that most of the machinery is broken. Papers and other loose items are flung haphazardly around the room. The Captain turns to the inspecting man and grunts. "Oi! Do you need a task to? Get down to the engine room and give the demon a stab. Tell him we arrived and he will get a small break. That should anger the evil bastard." he says with a wry grin, clearly not a fan of demons.

As Grimdoc asks the questions, the Captain turns to him. "Are you dumb, Johnson? You are the crew! And we've already reached the planet! Look outside! We are in alien territory, now shape up and get me that cryospanner!"

"Our mission? Are you a bleeding idiot?" he asks, exasperated with Grimdoc's feigned idiocy. "We are exploring new worlds, man! The prime directive and all that! Get it together!" he bellows as he turns to pick up a book from the floor.

As the green-skinned Ali approaches and tries to grab at the Captain, he leaps back in fright. "Dammit, Johnson. Forget the spanner! Why aren't you guarding me from this creature!" the Captain bellows as he draws a knife and his other hand begins to crackle with electricity. "Dammit, alien! Stay back!" he curses as he steps towards the artifact, keeping himself between it and Ali. "Stay by the door if you wish to parlay. He makes a good point, Cap'n. He don't seem like a threat to me.

The Captain looks warily at Ali-en and then shrugs. "Fine! Sit down over there and listen to our grandiose tale! Johnson, fetch the alien creature a drink!"

In the final years of the Age of Enthronement, a cabal of elven astronomers from the Garundi nation of Lirgen carried out an ambitious plan to ascend into space. The cabal's leader, Gelviel Zoniah aka the Captain you now speak to, claimed inspiration for the journey came to him in a vision after he used a magical orrery to aid him in contacting minds on other worlds. The device worked and delivered a vision from Desna herself.

The Lirgen's Glory was designed not to sail the seas or even to fly through the sky, but to plunge through the airless void of space. During the ship's construction, Gelviel attracted several like-minded elven explorers, scholars, and dreamers to accompany him on his voyage. The journey, they knew, would last for decades, but time has never been a resource about which elves worried. With their long lifespans, a few decades or even a century of exploration was a negligible price to pay for knowledge.

The Lirgen's Glory was completed at the onset of summer in 4600 AR, and it launched from its dry dock in central Oagon on Midsummer's Day, propelled elegantly and gently into space via a magical engine that drew upon the telekinetic powers of a bound vrock. As the ship gained speed and hurtled ever farther from Golarion, Gelviel and his crew stayed in contact with the Saoc Brethren via sending.

The elves kept detailed recordings of their observations in a number of dream crystals, objects capable of recording and relaying mental images in the form of dreams. They planned on sharing these more detailed reports with the Saoc Brethren upon their return to Golarion.

But from 4606 AR onward, the Lirgen's Glory's sendings went unanswered. Unbeknownst to the crew, but known to the captain as one last sending arrived for him, their ship's namesake nation was no more-a casualty of the perpetual hurricane known as the Eye of Abendego. Its winds and waves destroyed Lirgen, transforming the nation into the apocalyptic wasteland known today as the Sodden Lands.

The Saoc Brethren collapsed, and all of the Lirgen's Glory's contacts perished, went mad, or were otherwise lost. The ship was suddenly and unexpectedly on its own.

Without access to the proper divination magic to learn more, and with no allies left to contact via sending, Gelviel made a fateful decision-the Lirgen's Glory would continue its journey, with the crew recording their findings dutifully in the ship's supply of dream crystals. The years melted into decades, and the crew grew less and less interested in returning to Golarion, and more and more intrigued by new discoveries.

"Then, 56 years into the journey, we... what happened then..." the man mutters as his brows furrow in concentration. "Ah yes, we landed here!" he concludes with joy.

Looking to Ali-en, the Captain asks. "Now, what of your race?"

Ali-en listens to the story with rapt attention, something quite out of character for him but which he forces upon himself lest the Captain stop before revealing some important piece of information.

"What's next? Well, I am very impressed by your story and I think it'll be front-page news, no doubt!" Ali taps his finger on his chin as if pondering something. "But first, I should like a tour of your ship! Perhaps I can bring you along to explain how it works and what went wrong with it to some of our brightest engineers. After you show me around. "Hmmm," Ali ponders as his blast of arcane force does nothing. "Perhaps I need a break. Time for the animal act!" He starts calling on his unseen animal expert to bring out the monkeys....

Male DEAD Dwarf Inquisitor 8 / Fighter 1

Grimdoc will step back, trying to stay out of the reach of the mad captain.

Free action, sprout bramble armor. Swift, change judgement to healing+attack. If he steps up, use cestus instead of hammer.

Well Captain, you can call me Ray, or you can call me Jay.
But for Aroden's sake, don't call me Johnson! He's dead, and you are nuts!

Will Save: 1d20 ⇒ 2

The arrow from Joesef goes errant once more as Qazdathra is able to blast the Captain with fire, however the flame burst seems to have done nothing to the frogman.

Ali begins to summon his parade of monkeys as Grimdoc retreats, landing a single strike with his lucerne hammer, but the Captain's skin seems to be highly resistant to attacks.

"Fine! A mutiny is what you want? Then you will have to take the ship over my dead body!" he bellows as he steps back away from the hammer swinging dwarf and snaps his fingers once more.

The room grows cold as a flurry of snow begins to weep from the ceiling, but the snow begins to coalesce into large flakes and soon a downpour of hail strikes the Pathfinders.

Bludgeoning Damage to Everyone: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 4) = 15
Cold Damage to Everyone: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 4) = 8

For the remaining duration of the spell, heavy snow and sleet rains down in the area. Creatures inside this area take a -4 penalty on Perception skill checks and the entire area is treated as difficult terrain. At the end of the duration, the snow and hail disappear, leaving no after-effects (other than the damage dealt).
