Qadathra is successful and the fire seems to harm the creature more than expected, however Vladek's mind games seem to have no effect on the golem.

Grimdoc, taking charge, lashes out with his weapon in a fury. He takes a mighty swing and cuts through the golem in a single swipe, sending it to the ground as firewood.

Why? A touch attack of '15' should hit. I already figured in all the penalties.

@Vlad...It looks like it hit. Damage was adjusted for the fire damage. Probably just the colorful description .

Okay, maybe I misinterpreted it due to the word "barely."

@Vladek: The golem took the damage. Even something barely hitting is still a hit, though it is a flavorful way of saying "You just barely hit its AC." Also, you posted no actions, so I'm going to move on to the next round.

Joesef and Ali quickly begin to heal their wounds as Vladek and Qadathra flounder, confused by the amount of fire damage the golem can handle.

Grimdoc, undeterred by the golem, lashes back out with his nodachi. He takes a massive swipe and cuts through the hulking wood monstrosity, nearly felling it, but it still stands.

Able to still function, the creature sends out its two fists once more and the group dives for cover as they see the creature bristle and fire out an explosion of spinters again.

Slam @ Grimdoc-17+ to hit: 2d20 ⇒ (8, 9) = 17 Both misses.

Explosion of Splinters!: 6d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 6, 3, 2, 4) = 22 DC 16 Reflex to halve against Vladek, Qadathra, Joesef and Grimdoc; Vladek has +2 to the save.

Can we retcon that I did something? The reason I didn't was because I was waiting for the clarification on whether Qadathra hit. This is what we would have done:

cure light wounds wand on self: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

scorching ray wand, melee penalty, firing from above Grimdoc's head to avoid cover penalty: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
fire damage: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 2, 6) = 15

If still necessary:

Vladek's Reflex save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
Qadathra Reflex save, Improved Evasion: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28

This round, since that clearly wouldn't have ended it:

Qadathra boldly continues blasting the golem...

scorching ray wand, melee penalty, firing from above Grimdoc's head to avoid cover penalty: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
fire damage: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 2, 2) = 12

...while a thoroughly-punctured Vladek aids Joesef before retreating himself.

cure light wounds wand on Joesef: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

@Vladek: I'm not sure why you needed clarification on whether the Scorching Ray hit to post this round's actions, but your retcon actions only add 2 HP to yourself, so sure!

Vladek, using his powers over the temporal wavelengths, is able to heal himself as Qadathra sends out two more blasts of magic from the wand, but it seems the magical power of the fortune-controller causes the faerie dragon to expend two charges useless as they clang against the walls of the ship, leaving scorch marks on the steel hybrid.

Grimdoc, tired of the splinters that have now undoubtedly gotten under his skin and will take weeks to get rid of, takes one giant swing and finishes cleaving through the creature, sending both halves of the wooden statue tumbling to the ground with a thonk.

After recovering from the fight, the group finds that a total of five paintings depicting Lirgeni landscapes hang on the wall. These paintings are quite exquisite and rare finds. Each is worth 1,500 gp. The desk's drawers contain two potions of cure serious wounds (amid a large number of broken vials-victims of the crash), as well as several of what are presumably the Captain's journals. These journals are unusually sparse and focus more on his pre-flight days, but a final entry written in a shaky hand is of note. Here, you see it signed with just Gelvial instead of Captain, though the script is the same. The text is only a few scribbled, ominous lines: "It was not Desna who contacted me through the orrery. It was something else. It changed us, and now it's using us. We are its path back home. I'm so sorry I brought this upon the world, and so sorry I lack the courage to fight the change ... "

Grimdoc takes out a red handkerchief and wipes his brow.

"Whew. Glad that is over. I ain't been so close to passing out since ...well since I finished off that second keg of ale at... Well nevermind . I will be good in a bit. "

He sets his weapon aside and spends a minute plucking out splinters. He then pulls out a wand and taps himself a half dozen times.

Vladek gestures toward the remaining healing potion with the one he's taken.

"These are exceptionally potent - a single draught might reforge one's body from the brink of death. We should save them for the next time the path through Death's arches is measured in seconds."

He then pulls out a black linen scroll and reads it to himself, upon which it simply fades from being, as shadows without visible sources briefly play across Vladek's body.

Ali uses his own wand to heal himself and then struts back into the room, dismissing his pit with a casual wave of his hand as he replaces his talking sword into its scabbard. It lets out a groan of disapproval at its lack of use but Ali doesn't seem to notice or care much.

After looking over the note and getting a sense of what has gone on here, Ali exclaims, "Well, I mean, that's quite dreadful, right? Something dark taking these elves over and now it might be here or heading here! C'mon fellas, there's more to do here and maybe we'll figure out more about this thing that was taking over the elves."

You got it, Ali. Maybe one more fight like that and we call it a night. Grab those books and hope we don't have the same problem as their captain. Sounds like a mess if you ask me.

When the others are ready, he heads down the hallway, east.

What appears to have been some sort of lounge is now in ruins. Several fine pieces of furniture that seem to once have been attached to the floor now lie broken and tumbled against the walls, while cracks run up and down along all surfaces. Shattered fragments of crystal lie in heaps along the edges of the room, while grime-caked windows mostly buried under the earth offer filthy, sooty slits to the outside. One object of note that seems to have survived the crash sits at the easternmost end of the room-a large orrery made of bronze. Four of the orrery's planets seem to be missing.

As you enter, a frog-like man bedecked in red robes begins to bark orders at you. "You, short one! Get on the comms and radio back to Golarion about the status of the ship!" he says with a bulbous finger pointed at Grimdoc. "The bearded one! You go check the stores to see if we have another cryospanner."

As he issues orders, he moves from console to console, though none of them seem to have power, however this does not dissuade him from making tutting sounds whenever he clacks on the keyboards.
