GM Bold Strider |
The creature's tongue lashes out at the kobold trying to close the furnace door, washing over him in flames as Gaarm and Nizvit fail to close the door, the power of the haunt clearly too much.
1d5 ⇒ 2
Scorching Tongue: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Fire Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 2, 6) = 18
Initiative:
1st: Sir Thomas; Nizvit; Gaarm

Sir Thomas the Benevolent |
Tom rushes to Nizvit and casts cure light wounds.
clw: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Nizvit the Kobold |
3/11 HP
The fire is much for intense than he suspected, bu thanks to Thomas he survives. And the little protection he has from fire helped too
"Thankz..." he coughs

Gaarm |
We need to get out of here! Now!
Gaarm says with a wild fury in his eyes as he begins to flee the room.
Naxx |
Seeing Gaarm flee Naxx doesn't hesitate and runs after the retreating man, Ramas close on his heels.
"...seems like a common tactic we are developing...running.."
Nizvit the Kobold |
Nizvit also gets out of there. He was in no shape to assist further

Sir Thomas the Benevolent |
Once everyone is out, Tom will leave too.
Naxx |
"So what's the play? Ignore this room and go explore somewhere else? I don't think there are a lot of place left we haven't covered yet"
Sir Thomas the Benevolent |
The play is have Phyton prepare a couple resist energies. Should take the teeth out of this one.
Phyton Empyraster |
Once everyone is clear, Phyton conjures a snowball and hurls it at the furnace, then exits the room.
RTA: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 6) = 14 DC 13 Fort vs staggered. (Pretty sure it doesn't apply here.)
Gaarm |
Now an active Fireplace..... Is everyone alright?
Naxx |
Naxx nods
"At least in the same condition as when I entered this accursed place...I'm seriously starting to have a strong disliking of this place...every room seems intend on killing us..."
Gaarm |
Yes it does. Gaarm says catching his breath.
Where shall we investigate next? Where do you think the warden's badge might be?
Gaarm |
Shall we go back to the room with the writing on the walls? Gaarm says warily as he thinks back to the room and how ominous it all seemed.
Naxx |
"I'd rather go some place new instead of going back to a room we know will try to kill us...but it looks like we ran out of new places to explore..."
"..do we have a plan of attack for any of the rooms we had to, hmm...tactically retreat from last time?"
Sir Thomas the Benevolent |
I think the best option for the fire room is for Phyton to prepare resist energy. As for then other rooms, I am open to suggestions.
Gaarm |
Your healing wave seemed to erase a large portion of the letters in the room with the writing
Nizvit the Kobold |
"Zame here... even if i do not like the idea, but will do it to help remove thiz curze"

Gaarm |
Gaarm grunts in agreement. Can you prepare here or do we need to head back to the house for the evening?
Naxx |
"I'm not realy in favor of staying inside the haunted house overnight if that's alright with everyone"
Naxx shudders
"If we are going to prepare thing, let's try to do it somewhere a little bit more safe then here"
Sir Thomas the Benevolent |
We will go back and come prepared for these last fights.
Gaarm |
I am just ready to be done with this building that keeps trying to kill me. Gaarm says as he is eager to go back to the house. Each time he comes back to this place it takes another small bit of his sanity.
So far my sword has been useless to these letters and furnace Gaarm says pulling forth Angrist. [b]What can I do to help against these creatures that I cannot see.
While they are preparing spells Gaarm will purchase 4 bags of flour at the general store. (4 CP)
Sir Thomas the Benevolent |
Back to the mansion to get some rest and then back in the morning.
Naxx |
Naxx follows after Sir Thomas and will get a good nights rest while he waits for people who can actually choose the they prepare each day to select what we need for when we head back to that accursed place.
GM Bold Strider |
Calendar updated!
You head back to the manor, but the lady of the house is still away on her trip. The usual signs of her are gone, such as the scones and fresh fruit that await you when you rise. It also appears that you are out of jam and preserves for your slightly stale bread as no one has gone shopping for food since she left.
The sun is beginning to set once everyone is up and moving as you still seem to be wanting to explore the prison at night or at least no one has said that was going to change.
Nizvit the Kobold |
cant update sheet atm. But cold spells will be on his list now. Snowball. Ray of Frost.

Naxx |
Well with that spell selection..it seems the half flooded room with the furnace is first on our list
And with the GM's remark...do we want to check out the place during daylight hours?.....maybe all those freaky ghosts don't mess with us during the day.........
Gaarm |
I think the morning sounds good. As we left the prison early yesterday we could head out in the morning. I am good with that. Might weaken some of the occupants maybe.
Nizvit the Kobold |
morning it is then

Gaarm |
Gaarm wakes up feeling as if he did not get a lot of sleep last night.
I was getting used to traveling through the creepy prison at night. Perhaps the daylight will not make it as scary.
Heading downstairs he meets the rest of the group and begins heading towards the furnace room once again as he loosens his longsword.
Naxx |
Naxx stretches after waking up and goes to have some breakfast before joining the others for a nice morning stroll back to the (now slightly less?) haunted looking building
GM Bold Strider |
As you begin your travails towards the prison, your stomachs growl as the stale bread and slightly molded cheese have not sat well with your stomach.
The smell of rich pastries flutters through the air as you walk past the bakery. Through the large front-faced window, the lot of you see fresh breads and cakes ready for consumption throughout the new day.
Also, Naxx, are you still level 2?
Naxx |
Yes, did I miss a lvl up?
Nizvit the Kobold |
yup... :P

Sir Thomas the Benevolent |
Sir Thomas stops by the shop and purchases some of the wonderful fresh bread. He pays with two gold coins and a smile.
My friends, let's fortify ourselves with some better food on the way.
Sir Thomas the Benevolent |
Let's check out the statue on the way to the prison.
Nizvit the Kobold |
Nizvit nods in agreement

Gaarm |
Gaarm finishes his breakfast of the stale moldy bread and begins to head back to the prison as Sir Thomas mentions the bloody statue.
His interest piqued he heads to the statue and inspects it a little bit further.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Gaarm |
You have any of that holy water I could use Sir Thomas?
Gaarm will take 2 or 3 of the holy waters to use in the prison as he feels useless against those haunts lol.
Sir Thomas the Benevolent |
Sir Thomas reaches into his bag and pulls out 5 vials of holy water and hands them to Gaarm. Thomas also takes a good look at the statue when they arrive. perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
