Tenibri thanks the servant, then heads to Metella's room, passing Guy along the way.
"The Trade Prince himself ordered the windows closed and locked for security. If we want to get them open to gain the favor of Jakti, someone will have to lift a key off a servant, or pick the window locks. Neither are in my skill set; I leave it to you to find a solution."
When he gets to Metella's room, the wayang quickly slips inside, making sure that he's not observed.

Omg guys, sorry, was off my game! Will resolve outstanding issues now.
Doritannia humbly replies to Jivan, "Forgive me, I've been a little stress lately." You have earned influence with her but she is still not friendly towards the Society, maybe you could prod her further. You've used up your two influence checks but you may still mingle and complete favors.
As for our mischievous Pathfinders, they both successfully accomplish their misdemeanors without being noticed! Should you share this with the requestee, all influence checks receive a +5 circumstance bonus for that NPC.

![]() |

Jivan bows and smiles. "It is nothing. Perhaps there is something the Society can do for you?"
Status:
Temel Passad: speech swiped?
Doritannia Raffella: softened, but not turned friendly.
Metella Rauger: powder switched.
Pellius Melkior: nothing yet.
TJakti al'Awar: Windows opened; did anyone make a Knowledge (Religion) check?

![]() |

Successful at switching his sneezing powder for itching powder, Naxian goes to Metella Rauger to tell her the deed is done.
Naxian whispers to Metella.
"Metella, the powders have been switched. You were correct, he had it in his pocket. Let's hope this brings amusement to everyone else as much as it will to us. Now, If you will excuse me, I have some other Society business to attend to. Good fortunes to you Metella."
I do believe I heard something about a servant having a key for a window. Perhaps I shall use my skills again.
Naxian quietly moves behind a servant and tries to see if he is holding a key.
Sleight of hand: 1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (8) + 8 - 1 = 15
Hopefully his servant has a key for the windows.

Tenibri heads back to the main room, making sure that Metella's room is locked when he leaves. He seeks out Temel. "Ahh, feels better to not have the sun shining on that black. Metella will have some difficulty with her speech now, I think!"
Is Diplomacy the best skill for Temel, or does he have a better alternate?

![]() |

Tenibri indeed notices the speech sitting on the bed table, is immediate to obtain it without alerting anyone of his presences. So cunning he is.
Naxian also quick on his feet, notices one of the guards holding a key and manages to grab one unnoticed! So sly.
Doritannia in response to Jivan, moves him into a more secluded location before explaining her current situation. "If anyone could help me, maybe the Pathfinder Society can, as of recent, I've found myself in a huge debt, as such Temel Passad has helped me, but as long as I'm in his debt, I've limited freedom for my trading options."
Status:
Temel Passad: +5 all checks
Doritannia Raffella: softened, but not turned friendly. Intimidate check available
Metella Rauger: +5 all checks
Pellius Melkior: nothing yet.
TJakti al'Awar: softened but not friendly, Windows not opened; Knowledge (Religion) check available.
Reminder, you only can make total 2 checks to improve influence in this scenario, so use it wisely. Favor checks don't count. And even though others have made social or other checks for that NPC, you can still attempt it if you haven't yet with that NPC to higher your chance of getting friendly. Naxian, you have to make the social check first before the second special check is revealed.

Jakti replies favorably at Guy's tales, I was not aware of how knowledgeable the pathfinders were with regards to religion. [ooc]He is almost friendly to the party, one more successful check on him will likely get him to side with you.

"Hmmm, let me see if I can get a colleague to assist; I think you'll want someone with more training than I. This is the advantage of working with the Pathfinders, Temel; none of us are specialists in everything, but we have specialists in everything. Let me go find a friend to help you."
Tenibri approaches Baeid. "My new friend Temel," he motions his arm in the merchant's direction, "is looking for someone with appraisal skills. That's not really my specialty, but I think you might be suited to help him. Do you mind?"

Doritania discloses an amount of gold pieces that she owes Temel to Jivan, certainly one that wealthy traders could be afford to buy off.

![]() |

I see that nobody has talked to Pellius Melkior yet. Perhaps I can use that to my advantage.
Having noticed Pellius Melkior standing by himself, Naxian moves to where he is standing.
"Hello Pellius Melkior, I am Naxian of the Pathfinder Society. I noticed somebody has finally opened some of these windows. It was beginning to get a bit stuffy in here. Perhaps I need to find a trader to find something that fits this weather better. Would you know of any such traders, by chance."

![]() |

Jivan, she adds nothing more to the conversation that could be of any use to you.
***Naxian***
"Good day Naxian, was it stuffy? I hadn't noticed. Funny you should mention trader, I'm a trader! But that can't be a coincidence, we're all traders around here!"
If you want to continue to make an impact of Pellius, you should roll a social check.

Tenibri will approach the target of his and Temel's prank, relishing in the amusement the afternoon is offering. For a wake, everyone seems to be amusing themselves quite nicely. These Qadiran traders have the way of it, I think.
"Ah, are you Metella? Did I just see you speaking with Naxian? I'm another Pathfinder; we travelled here together. I'm Tenibri. This business--the Trade Princess--well, it's just a shame, but life moves on, you know. Was there any business you and Naxian were discussing with which I could assist?

![]() |

Pellius is unimpressed with Naxian's effort to coerce him. But he does carry on the conversation and is keen to know more about different communities he could expand his business to. knowledge local check! But looks like Naxians used up his influence.
Meanwhile at Tenibri's end, Metella makes small conversations, if it were too be pursuit further, you will need to influence her.
Once Tenibri and Baeid used their checks, I will likely bot Davor to keep the game going.

![]() |

The night continues as the pathfinders mingle to win over the trust of the traders, as it goes, Doritannia is the closest to accepting the trust of the pathfinders, Temel and Jakti somewhat needs a bit more push. Metella and Pellius seem uninterested. Advise to focus on those three who are closer to being friendly with your remaining checks.
As it is, all eyes are on Tenibri, Baied, and Davor as the others have exhausted their options. In 24 hours I'll likely bot and move us to the next part.

![]() |

Baied speaks to Temmel, asking him enlightment on Kalistrae's teachings, and how they differ or are similar to Abadar's.
The blonde half elf shows the same prodigal attitude than Temmel, and drinks only water or eat fruits.

Temel, speaks favorably with Baied, the time she has spent with the pathfinders makes him believe it is in his favor to side with them, and that of their allies, including the Trade Prince. Doritannia looks over her shoulders, in the same interest as Temel, she decides it would also be best in her position to ally with the pathfinders.
Both Temel and Doritannia are friendly with the patfinders!

I thought I'd posted an action last night, sorry for that.
"Ah Metella, I'm sorry, I see someone calling me. And before our converstion had barely started. I wish you well today."
The wayang returns to where he started, and begins speaking with Jakti.
"Good sir, I'm hoping your day is going well. I believe my colleague Guy has explained the benefits to you of working with the Pathfinders. I'm here to reinforce how very interested we are in finding avenues of mutual benefit between you, ourselves, and our host the Trade Prince. What say you; can we count on you?"

Davor,profession(untrained),Metella: 1d20 + 3 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 3 + 5 = 23
I've done the math, it seems all characters are friendly towards the pathfinders!
Tenibri makes a strong case for Metella to be part of something bigger than herself, but alone she is not yet convinced, On the other hand, Davor sees the opportunity and integrates himself into the conversation, making it known that the working together with the Pathfinders will make them a valuable resource to her with their vast knowledge of all things, helping her expand her business into newer things.
And immediately after the conversation, the cleric Umut emerges from the temple and gathers everyone's attention to honor the deceased. Aaqir invites Guy the cleric to Umut's table to assist with these matters. With that, Aaqir al’Hakam and several other members of the Bahjari household carry a wooden bier bearing the shrouded body of Zarmina through the front door, up the stairs, and into the temple, where the guests file in afterward. Aaqir al’Hakam and the others lay the bier atop the altar of Sarenrae, and then join the other guests in the pews.
The ceremony opens by Umut recognizing the goddess to whom the temple is consecrated as a sign of respect before transitioning to an invocation to “our lady of eternity, who shepherds the deceased to an everlasting afterlife.” She continues with the funerary rites and performs them with the help of Guy.
Guy get's a +5 circumstance bonus for excellent roleplaying on this knowledge check
Umut as a cleric of Pharasma, seems to be performing the rite clumsily, less polished that what you would expect of a priestess of her stature.
And so, comes the time for the guest to honor the deceased with kind words and gifts, the traders do so and they also mention some respect and recognition for their own friends. Doritannia speaks highly of Zarmina with citing Temel as a similar upstanding member of the merchant community, where as Pellius likens the memory of Zarmina to finely crafted dwarven heritage, as of Metella. The Pathfinder's follow the example of the merchants, and take some small speech lead by Nergi.
The speeches conclude as the sun approaches the horizon, its red light illuminating the room in crimson hues. Post the speech, Jakti al'Awar proposes everyone to raise and toast the guest of honor the trade prince. Suddenly, the body of Zarmina rises, everyone is in shock and dismay, she clearly still looks dead! The mummy starts to attack the guest, as she does, she points towards the door in the same direction as Jakti, Metella, Temel and Aaqir. "You have failed me! Betrayer!" Aaqir looks in horror, as he turns to the Pathfinders for help!

Tenibri moves quickly to a position over by the wall--as quickly as his small legs will carry him, at least--and makes a quick calculation in his head. He sweeps his hands out in front of him, drawing arcane power from the fabric of existence around him; the room briefly darkens in a small radius around the wayang as if a cloud had blocked the sun. Indoors.
He uses both hands to focus the energy and points it in front of him; a pulsating beam of not-light arcs out to a distance of about 25' where a small portal opens near the first pew. An eagle, shining as bright as the beam was non-bright, flies out with a caw that thrums in a multitonal majesty that fills the chapel with a brief moment of sonic beauty.
