"Pig no like turnips anyways," he confirms cheerfully.

GM Redelia |

You return to town to relax and prepare for further exploration. Your honorary venture captain is fascinated to hear of your recent adventures, and encourages you to return to your exploration as soon as you are ready.
You wait long enough to make sure that any new gear you have ordered is delivered to the Fort Inevitable Post Office.
Anything else before I drop you into the next level?

Yroh stretches, bending and twisting in his new armor. "This mithral is wonderful! It shines as if blessed by the snows!"

Pig arrives, surprisingly not as noisily as the inches worth of newly forged iron surrounding his body might imply but still noisily. He grins at everyone. "Pig happy to be with Winter Strike Team," he says. "Pig get bored hitting baby men with sticks to make into men men--and women women. Pig mean men in sapient, anthropocentric-sense, not androcentric-sense."
The visor on the helm under his arm looks rather fearsome.

Raga runs in, looking over her shoulder every so often before slowly and quietly closing the door and letting out a slight huff.
"Oh, thank goodness we're going exploring again. What with getting the orphanage up and running it's been non-stop since our last trip. I didn't realize that human orphans liked to grab tails." she shudders a bit as she pulls her tail in closer. "Oh, right! So you're all welcome to stay at Ragathiel's Home for Orphans up to the northeast of here. The locals had an old mansion that they had for sale cheap, and this IS the River Kingdoms so I got a bit of a break on the price and if we run across any folks who want to get out of the dungeon and do better things we have something they can do! Just... um... realize that we're still getting things up and running so... there may be a bump or two."

A big man with a breastplate, a greatsword strapped across his back and an assortment of other objects stashed about his person walks in and nods in acknowledgement to the rest of the team.
[b]"Evening folks. I'm the callin. Aryxis is my name. I'm gonna help out for a bit while you are short on numbers!"[/b[]

![]() |

'Pig welcome Calling," the half-orc says with a smile and slaps him hard on the shoulder. "Oo. Sturdy like tree!"

![]() |

Stepping inside, Baku nods to the others as he makes his way to the desk. Nervously checking for his name on the parcels, he smiles broadly. "Ah good!"
Ripping the paper open, he tugs a necklace, handband, and belt free. Securing both the headband and belt, he turns to the others. "It's a pleasure to have returned to venture further with you. Professor Pig, as always, glad to see you again."
Pausing, he glances towards the door. "Umm...Herra's put on a pound or two, so please be courteous...she's a little self conscious."
Whistling loudly, he holds the necklace up.

Herra |

On cue, the bird flies through the door and lands next to Baku. Patiently waiting as he places the necklace around her neck, it's quite obvious she has been well fed between adventures.
Glancing toward the group, she offers a soft "CuCaw"

![]() |

"Pig happy to see Blue Man, too," he says and grins. "Blue Man fattening bird for big feast?"

![]() |

"Do what?!" exclaims Baku in surprise. "No! No. Ha ha. We're not going to eat Herra. She's getting ready for a growth spurt. Needs the extra carbs so she doesn't look strange when it hits."
Turning to the avian creature, he gently pats her feathers. "It's ok sweety. You look beautiful."

![]() |

Marvelous. And well met, Aryxis. I am Elado Zoros, herald of the White Dragon and ender of encounters. You will find this group to be quite competent in all matters mundane AND esoteric: face smashing to goblin fishing. We're quite the cadre. Elado beams proudly.

Pig does his best to ignore the cranky water people.

![]() |

Yroh proselytizes about the glory of the snows but probably gets ignored.

For the first floor, Raga carries along a pig for the goblins to gnosh on.

![]() |

For the first floor, Raga carries along a pig for the goblins to gnosh on.
She can't think of anything spectacular for The Cellars, but for Splinterden she brings along some quality of life items to be polite.
For GodHome, she brings along some scrap metal.
Then she gives a Pathfinder Journal talking about planar interactions for the water level.

![]() |

Baku makes his way through the levels as if he owns the place. 'None of these had the power to withstand us. Why shouldn't they bow to our needs.' considers the druid. His mind drifting slowly to the previous lives he's lived and he shrugs. 'I suppose others could say that about me...dieing is not my favorite past time....'
Offering a smile to the water people as he realizes there's no need to be a jerk..., he wishes them luck. "The planes are a fickle place. Be careful in your explorations."
As an afterthought, he adds "Any idea what we should be expecting in the next level?"

![]() |

"Yes...you know anything about him?" presses Baku.
After listening to their response, he nods. "Well, thank you for your time. See ya around."

![]() |

Being the new guy on the block, Aryxis keeps to the rear while the talking is going on. Best to let those familiar with the surroundings take the lead.

![]() |

We made a deal with an undead creature on a few levels up to take care of him. If he's as bad as everyone says he is, it may be a service to everyone. Elado steels himself for a potential pivotal battle.

![]() |

"Pig chop off Klarkosh head," the half-orc says with certainty. "No head, no problem."

![]() |

Aryxis agrees...
"Yes that does seem to solve many problems. Shall we go and look for this one?"

![]() |

"So, I'm thinking swarms or undead, since we haven't run into a lot of them yet. Anyone else have ideas what we might be running into this time, aside from Klarkosh?" Raga offers as she moves forward to investigate the path ahead of the party.
Token placed, ready to roll on out!

"Bad things," Pig says.

GM Redelia |

The long stairway ends in a small chamber. On the north wall, a panel with two bronze levers—one red and one black—is set chest-high in the wall. To the east, an archway leads to an alcove. Distant ticking echoes through the walls, as if several large clocks were operating simultaneously.
This room currently has no exits.

![]() |

Raga moves over to the levers and attempts to assess them for their capabilities and what they may be linked to. Of course, this research is hampered somewhat by the nature of the current location of the party. She does NOT throw the levers until she's finished her assessment, and just before she does she drinks a vial.
K: Engineering(Inspiration): 1d20 + 8 + 1d6 ⇒ (9) + 8 + (1) = 18
Disable Device (Examination, Inspiration): 1d20 + 15 + 1d6 ⇒ (19) + 15 + (5) = 39 If Take 10 not allowed, otherwise 25. If Engineering was enough to figure it out, then using that to try and prevent damage to party when one or the other lever is activated.
False Life: 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

![]() |

"Huh," Pig grunts.

![]() |

Aryxis moves up next to Reynard and adds his own insights. Once Reynard has finished assessing the levers, Aryxis will begin an Occult study of them (without actually pulling them)
Kn: Engineering Aid Another: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
At 2nd level, an occultist learns how to read information from items he examines. Examining an item in this way requires him to spend 1 minute handling the item. If the item is a magic item, the occultist learns its properties and command word as if he had successfully examined the item using detect magic and succeeded at a Spellcraft check. This ability does not reveal whether the item is cursed unless the occultist’s class level is equal to or greater than the caster level of the item. If the item has any historical significance, the occultist learns one piece of information about its past (as determined by the GM). Finally, if the item was last used no longer than 1 day ago per the occultist’s class level, the occultist learns one piece of information about the last creature to use the item. This information might be a glimpse of the creature’s appearance, a brief vision of what it saw while using the item, or perhaps its emotional state when it last used the item. The GM determines what information is gained in this way. This functions like the psychometry occult skill unlock (see page 196), but doesn’t require a skill check and can be used at will.

"Friend Raga, what say you?" Yroh inquires, waiting patiently by the end of the stairs.

![]() |

Putting an arm out to stop Herra, Baku smiles. "Caution my friend. This companion of ours has proven time and again, it's better to let him take a look before charging in."
With a nod to the furry man, he smiles. "Take your time. We know it's worth it."

![]() |

"Ah, pick one and pull," Pig suggest 'helpfully.'

![]() |

"Ah my friend - the question we are trying to figure out is - which one do we pull first!"
Aryxis returns to his study with Reynard.

![]() |

"I like red!" Pig says, continuing to 'help.'

![]() |

"Or if it's a cunning mechanism hiding a different means of access, etc, etc." Raga opines as she works out the switches.
"Also, would you prefer it if I appeared male, Baku? I could at least look the part convincingly if it was important to the mission?" This is offered with a bit of a smirk as she considers the device.

![]() |

"Fox is not man?" Pig asks, astounded.

![]() |

The investigator nearly drops her picks. "Wait. Okay. How many people here thought I was a guy instead of a girl? I'm not complaining, I'm collecting data for an impressive disguise."
Seriously, it's not like I tried to HIDE it or anything, like some trashy romance novel or epic ballad..

"The snows see you as Raga. Male, female, it makes no difference. You are Raga." Yroh nods sagely.

"Pig no care," he says. "Fox beautiful on inside that count. And good with tools. Maybe that count more."

![]() |

Stunned by the development, Baku looks under Herra and glances towards Raga's undercarriage. "I...but....really?"
Blushing, he smiles. "Make no difference to me be you man or woman, just thought...well...the bump....anyway. Glad to have you with us, m'lady."
"So...uh...figure out the levers there? Which one's gonna blow us up?"
