"Grumpier than dwarf," Pig says as he moves past the crabby man with a man-sized crab.

You move forward before you anger the blue humanoid into attacking you. Soon, you find yourself at the top of some stairs. The stairs lead down into a wide hallway filled with murky water. There are two hallways on the
south wall and one on the east.
The water at the bottom of the stairs is 2 feet deep, so counts as difficult terrain for non-aquatic creatures walking normally through it.
A few small crabs skitter around in and under the water.
ways forward for you to choose from are marked with yellow arrows.

Grel puts his hands on the stone walls and prays to the earth to bind stone and the living.
Cast Spider Climb, Communal. Everyone gets 10 minutes of spider climb.
I'm wary of the water. I'll try to stay out of it if I can. I've granted you the ability to climb the walls. Grel walks down the steps but stays out of the water, walking on the wall.

"This fun trick," Pig says with a tusked grin as he tries walking on the wall. He moves down the wall and peers into the first hall.

The fox-woman resists the urge to make cranky comments OR to try and mimic the blue person's appearance for the moment as she moves along carefully in particular with the blessing from Grel.
A LOT of people have been messed with by this Klarkosh. I imagine that's going to be a tough fight.
"This is pretty impressive." Raga opines as she moves up to the ceiling and looks down the same passageway that the Professor is peering down to try to determine if anything is awry that direction, and for perhaps a bit more insight into this level of the Spire.
Raga's token has been turned upside-down to reflect being on the ceiling.

"I see you serve the stone as I serve the snows. Most wonderful!" Yroh follows behind, delighting in the ease at which Grel's magic allows him to climb.

![]() |

Quite the pair we'll make then, Yroh. Grel continues to test his grip as he makes his way down the hall.

![]() |

Moving to the stairs, Baku gingerly places a foot sideways onto the wall. Ever so gently, he slowly....cautiously....raises his other foot. "AH!" he shrieks, quickly turning red. "Uh...sorry for that...just really expected to fall on my face. Neat trick! Thanks sir Dwarf."
"I suppose if I were to admit to worshipping anything...it would be magic and elemental power." he adds with a smile. "Though the snow has proven quite helpful on other floors and your stone god seems to have his own trick or two."
"Raga, what you thinkin? Hear anything?"

![]() |

Raga squints and holds up one finger for silence as she watches, listens, and sniffs the air.
Not sure if we're going to find anything, Raga's a bit paranoid though.

GM Redelia |

Grel cast communal spider climb
Raga sees a small chamber full of tiny crabs, who seem angry about the light. They swarm out and under her, but give up when they can't reach you and return to their room.
When Raga continues on, followed by all of you, she notices that in one direction is a hallway that bends to the side, and the other direction is a large room from which she can hear a waterfall. A pile of rubble appears to have been made into a dam to retain water. The water in this room is quite clear.

![]() |

Grel will proceed to the room and see into the water to make sure there's nothing there.
perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26

![]() |

Yroh scales the walls, traversing the ceiling to switch sides, grinning at the wonderous feeling as he keeps Grel in sight.

![]() |

Because the way through had not been clearly defined by the blue person, and because this is a Pathfinder expedition, Raga imparts all the information she has acquired thus far and then moves along to the room that the rest of the party is heading towards, keeping her senses sharp as she moves along the ceiling.
"Y'know, going into a room before I have a chance to look at it isn't always a clever idea...?"

![]() |

The other 4 x 4 room is where the little crabs came from?
Pig tries his hand at walking on the ceiling. "This fun," he comments as he heads across the ceiling to look over the waterfall.

![]() |

'Ack! Freaking crabs!'
Moving to the corner of the hallway behind his companions, Baku motions for Herra to follow.
Glancing around, he hopes their luck holds out.

"Be at peace, melted snowman. We come to observe, not to claim." Yroh speaks in supplication, completely oblivious to the language barrier.

![]() |

"Huh," Pig remarks at the impotent--for the moment--elemental and then walks along the ceiling to see what is in the larger chamber.

![]() |

Hmm that could be a problem shortly. Grel follows Pig into the other room.
Which way did the elemental go?

![]() |

"I still hope we can avoid harming the poor thing, but I agree sir dwarf. Best we follow and see where it leads. Perhaps the safeword will soon be in affect..."
Without another word Baku and Herra follow Grel...at a safe distance.

![]() |

Some minor preparation may be in order. But yes, let's proceed. Grel will cast Bull's Strength on Pig. You seem the type to be out in front, this should help.

![]() |

"Well, it's going to lead us to one of two folks unless we were lied to at the entrance. And since we've already talked to one of them, let's hope the process of elimination puts it at the sister, then? Also, keep an eye out and take notes... never know what might be useful to know about this place."
Raga will likewise follow at a safe and respectful distance.

![]() |

"Lead on, snowmelt!" Yroh agrees, studying the elemental closely.

![]() |

"If you say so," Pig agrees to the task of following the irate elemental.

GM Redelia |

The little (well, techically medium sized) elemental struggles through the makeshift dam at the end of the room, and into another room where a half-submerged shiny area sporadically spits out water. The little elemental rushes over to a matching big friend.
The water here is about 2 feet deep. Your spider climb is good while you do whatever you do in this room, but then will wear off.

![]() |

nature: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Grel attempts to discern the nature of the "shiny area" that may generate water. We don't have much longer to cling to the walls. We may consider other forms of protection from these water creatures.

"Baby wave ran to mommy wave," Pig says. "You want to talk to mommy wave?"

![]() |

We should see if we can quell them or otherwise avoid them. We wouldn't want hostile forces at our backs. They are naturally occurring creatures and I have little reason to destroy them unless they attack us. Grel is a bit worried about the outcome but this is a dangerous palce.
