This is really embarassing, but I just realized that I misread the map, and the elemental you just fought was supposed to be in a different room, and there should have been someone different in this room. The smaller elemental was purposely fleeing to the larger elemental, so I would like to make this right by just moving you guys to the room where the larger elemental was supposed to be, and we'll pretend that's where you've been this whole time, and then you can move from there.

The area Baku points to is a grating which allows water to flow to another area, rather than a door.

It might be possible to remove the grating and move through, but I just wanted to be sure you understood it's 'off the beaten path.'

The place where he is standing, although it looks like an intersection, is actually somewhere where one passage passes over another, with no way to see the other. From Grel's position, it is possible to take either the yellow path or the green path (they'll actually both take you to the room where I had you in error, but you technically don't know that)

Raga, I disagree with the common interpretation that the players choose which facts to learn on a knowledge check. I believe the GM chooses which facts, but has a responsibility to try to make them useful.

Raga knows this is a mudlord, a kind of elemental. It can blind characters by throwing mud at them, has high spell resistance, and DR which magic weapons bypass.

The creature flings a ball of mud at Pig.

Darioos, just for the sake of simplifying your turns, I'll tell you now this creature is immune to sneak attack.

When the creature engulfed Grel on the last turn, Grel took 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 bludgeoning damage.

Grel has 14 Constitution, so can hold his breath for 28 rounds.
The mudlord tries to squeeze some of the breath out of Grel (also on the previous turn). CMB, smother: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27
rounds of holding breath lost: 1d6 ⇒ 1
One round subtracted off by being used, also, so at the beginning of the creatures turn, Grel is pinned and can hold his breath for 26 rounds.

Since Grel is still inside the creature (until he escapes from the pin), he again takes damage. 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

The creature also continues trying to squeeze the breath out of him.
CMB grapple: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26 rounds lost: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Grel is now grappled, down 11 HP from max, and can hold his breath for 22 rounds before suffocation.

The mudlord uses his normal action to slam into Pig.
