I thought Tauriell grabbed it, she grabs everything. I have had no real reason to use the horn, I have not been separated from the party, or had to harass a spell caster and stop him prepping spells, or anything like that really.
Also you might mean sarcasm instead of irony?

Irony (from Ancient Greek εἰρωνεία (eirōneía), meaning "dissimulation, feigned ignorance"[1]), in its broadest sense, is a rhetorical device, literary technique, or event in which what appears, on the surface, to be the case, differs radically from what is actually the case.Verbal irony and sarcasm
A fair amount of confusion has surrounded the issue of the relationship between verbal irony and sarcasm.
Fowler's A Dictionary of Modern English Usage states:
Sarcasm does not necessarily involve irony and irony has often no touch of sarcasm.
This suggests that the two concepts are linked but may be considered separately. The OED entry for sarcasm does not mention irony, but the irony entry reads:
A figure of speech in which the intended meaning is the opposite of that expressed by the words used; usually taking the form of sarcasm or ridicule in which laudatory expressions are used to imply condemnation or contempt.
The Encyclopædia Britannica has "Non-literary irony is often called sarcasm"; while the Webster's Dictionary entry is:
Sarcasm: 1 : a sharp and often satirical or ironic utterance designed to cut or give pain. 2 a : a mode of satirical wit depending for its effect on bitter, caustic, and often ironic language that is usually directed against an individual.
Partridge in Usage and Abusage would separate the two forms of speech completely:
Irony must not be confused with sarcasm, which is direct: sarcasm means precisely what it says, but in a sharp, caustic, ... manner.
No. I mean irony :P

            It ate my post.
It could have been sarcasm if you meant what you said. I also know many many people who get sarcasm and Irony confused so I wanted to make sure.
Also there are some pretty cool prestige awards. I can use it to remove my negative levels

I would like to end that fight with another fireball, but not as long as Niamh is standing in there. And she isn't here any more to move out.

I read up on the feat and the calculations.
Aaaaand: It's too expensive. In the short run I would have to put my attribute increase into INT to qualify for the feat. Then I would have to put all my skill ranks into Know(engineering) to get a 50/50 chance to cast a intensified burning hands or shocking grasp as 1st level spell.
And once I hit level 9 it will be completely and utterly broken. As I'm going to cast maxmized fireballs dealing 60 damage without any roll all day long.

You get 3 ranks a level, with 3 ranks you have a 50% chance, but if you use your bonus skill to up it to 4, you get a 94% chance.
Intensified adds +1 to the level.
Burning hands is a lvl 1 spell
Therefore it is lvl 2 for the feat.
Your primes are 11, 13, 17
 4d6: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 6, 2) = 12
 (6*2)+(2/2) = 13

It can be made cheaper. I don't get another feat until level 9. I can read the book for the +1 int. But then I would wait for level 11 for a useful metamagic feat. By then I can probably simply buy the metamagic wand.
What do you say? Is it a worthy investment with that timeline?

You get the metamagic feat as part of sacred geometry. So at lvl 9 you would have access to it for use with sacred geometry, which is better than using it without.
It also gives you 2 levels to get the ranks into knowledge engineering.
You could buy the rod I suppose.
Another concern is the casting time increase
