Abortive Part 4 for the Spellgarders. Player redistribution killed it - no plot was possible.

When you hit a target, you gain a +2 item bonus to AC against attacks from that target until the end of your next turn.

Reads to me as though any attack that hits will add the bonus as it doesn't mention damage as a prerequisite. She has +2AC to attacks from Kelji or Lohm or Rapt, but not all three of them. Take your pick and I'll edit accordingly.

I'll take the bonus against Lohm then, thanks Rosey :)

It's flame strike, area burst 2, 2d10+4 and an ongoing 9 fire, effects everyone in the blast.
You don't want to be hit by it.

10 force damage to Hobbes and he is dazed to end Rapt's next turn.

Hobbes throws up his magical shield before the attack, thus negating its effects. His skin appears to grow golden, glowing scales that interlock and cover his body. As the ray hits the scales, it fizzles and dies.

Dragon Scales, +7 to all defenses against this attack. I would have used it against Barstow, but his 30 was too high for my shield to block. This 20 is much nicer. (and I hate being dazed)

I personally prefer the spinning leaves effect that they use in the show Naruto to disappear. It just seems more feyish to me. :) But that was very cool, too.

Updated init list to take account of you all being awesome :) Will amend as necessary once Ava and Kel reach an agreement.

Seeing his chance, Urlag gives another roar and charges Barstow. The warlord feints with his falchion, then swings again, challenging Barstow to a stand-up fight.

Move to K12, charge to K14, adding Furious Assault on a hit. 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 181d8 + 2d4 + 7 ⇒ (8) + (4, 1) + 7 = 20 Assuming that's a miss. Elia finds herself free of Kelgan's grasp as he slumps to the ground bleeding profusely.

Kel launches fiery mayhem into the midst of Ava's illusions and as an afterthought, helps his half-orc pal back to the land of the living.

Kel - yes you can. He dropped before the start of your turn and I'm guessing you'd have healed him anyway had you known that.

Kelgan returns to consciousness in time to see flames sluice over the two spellcarred. Kelji leans longingly to one side, still crooning for Terimon and avoids the blast. As Ava reappears, fleetingly surrounded by toasted fey, Barstow grunts approval from his corner.

"Good teamwork. Shame about the lout you have as a warleader. He's bound to let you down. Aren't you, Urlag?" A gnarled dwarvish finger prods Urlag's stomach.

EDIT: Kelgan - you made one save. Care to make another one and tell me which of the various ongoing things you want to stop happening?

It's my fault. My cut and paste got a little out of hand due to giggling a bit over Ava's pixies. Kelgan had three save ends effects on him when he dropped. Slowed, 5 ongoing force and 10 ongoing untyped. You've now saved against two of those and can save against the third at the end of your turn.

do you mean kind like Pirotess, the dark elf lady from Lodoss? I love that DVD. I used to watch it before bed every night for a long time. I was asleep before Parn left the village. :) Deedlit rocks!

I guess it's my turn. 5 necro damage.

Hobbes drops the new staff to focus back on the old one. "Hmmm.... Urlag's got Barstow in hand and Kel and Arrika can help Kelgan, so that leaves these guys for Ava and us. Thunder Bomb or Ice Dragon Teeth, Cassie?" He pauses for a second as if he is listening to someone. "Ice Dragon Teeth? O.K. I can do that."

Ice Dragon Teeth on L7 for Lohm and Kelji, +12 vs Ref, 29 and 30, for 2d8+13 damage or 23 cold damage and they are slowed until the end of my next turn. Then move to J2 to block line of sight.

Hobbes casts his spell and pauses only long enough to admire his handiwork, then moves behind the bookcase to avoid any reprisals.

save =14 against necro.

The air around Kelji and Lohm chills and a gaping dragon's maw appears momentarily before closing around the pair leaving lacerating wounds in its wake.

Hobbes notes the results with satisfaction and beats a prudent retreat.

Then she's moving once more, into the room and she nimbly hops onto the table, the gold rings in her tail flickering as she moves. She then traces a pattern in the air, and a rune forms on Kelji's forehead.

I hate to ask you that, but what I have in mind is to keep the two ranged casters busy, while the immobilized Kelji can't really do much more then stand there. If she's next to me she can Axe me, since shes melee, and I intend to sustain the zone and keep using the immobilization at will.

Hobbes:

Spoiler:
lol yes Lodoss War is awesome, but I see Ava as more of a cross between Deedlit but more distant and meanier, not as bad as Pirotess though :) and the Pharangese reference is from a series called the Heroic Legend of Arslan, which is one of my all time favorites.

Will wait for resolution on this before rolling Barstow.

Female Tiefling Warlock 9

I can leave her where she is, if you can shift Rapt so that he is adjacent to her. Trying to get all the baddies cursed up :) I'd actually meant to type M8, so she'd be adjacent to both Rapt and Lohm. I'll leave her put, so Lohm gets cursed on his action, and hopefully Ava can get Rapt into position.

Arrika: I can probably get that pulled off on my upcoming turn, I'll keep that in mind.

Arrika and Ava - I really have to apologise to you both for the hold up. Neither of Arrika's attacks hit. It's completely my fault and the only excuse I have to offer is that it's been a very long week.

Arrika is a blur of movement as she emerges from hiding and leaps onto the table. To her irritation, the twin warrior women prove tougher than she'd imagined.

Barstow digs his fingers deeper into Urlag's stomach, clenches them slightly and shifts backwards.

"Not as tough as you'd like to be, are you, my turncoat friend?"

Despite his bravado, he is unable to throw off the ongoing damage afflicting him.

Elia swings once more at Kelgan, desperate to slow him down.

"You're good," she concedes grudgingly, backing away slightly. "Snap out of it Kelji!" she adds, bellowing across the room at her sister.

Rosey: Just realized that my Runic Longsword grants +2 temp hp when I hit with an Arcane attack, and I guess my bloodiron drakescale would grants me a +2 AC vs Lohm.

Thanks. I'll try to remember to take account of it. Nudge me if I forget.

Rev:

Spoiler:
Doh! I just realized this, and I'll totally understand if you say no, but I forgot to say Mark Lohm....sigh. I don't know if its too late lol, sorry if I forget again I won't bring it up.

Ava

Spoiler:
Afraid not with the mark. Like Divine Challenge, Warlock's Curse and Hunter's Quarry, I think it does need to be declared as part of the turn.

Rev:

Spoiler:
No problem, I just spaced out and forgot to declare it on my turn. No worries :) For future reference, can I state that I always intend to Mark a target unless I specify otherwise?

Ava

Spoiler:
You can indeed. I don't guarantee I'll always remember, but I'll give it a decent shot.

Male Elf Ranger

Kel fires twice a Elia.
1st, attack vs ac, 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30, damage = 1d12 + 1d8 + 7 + 3 ⇒ (1) + (6) + 7 + 3 = 17
2nd, attack vs ac, 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33, damage = 1d12 + 7 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 7 + 3 = 18

Edit: criy damage = 22 + 2d6 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3

Distracted by Kelgan, Elia never even sees the two arrows that end her life with merciful speed.

Arrika - cursed enemy dropped. Your pack boon kicks in.

MAP

Mystical Debris is difficult terrain to the end of the encounter. It is represented by the dull green square.
