In a year or two, NO ONE in Oreme will even remember the name Barstow or his men." Hobbes grits his teeth and fights the necrotic energy.

this is a whole lot of bravado, since by my calculations, I am up for 15 ongoing damage at the start of my turn and I only have 13 hp left. any chance someone could get me a healing potion or something before my turn or I am going to drop like a sack of potatoes.

I can't reach you next turn, but I could slide Urlag my last one.

Rumbling like a vengeful earthquake and driven by who knows what, Urlag casts aside death's feeble attempts to claim him and returns to the battle.

Urlag has one, he's just been busy . . .

Move to J13 use sfift recovery on Urlag. Urlag can uses his second wind without using an action.

Kel then calls upon the powers of Silvanius and casts Zealous Sanction at Barstow.

attack vs will, 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28, damage = 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (7, 5) + 5 = 17 radiant and the first time any ally hits Barstow before my next turn, that ally can spend a HS.

Hobbes foams at the mouth, teeters, and then falls to the ground, overcome by the ongoing magical assault.

ongoing 10 necro + ongoing 5 force = -2hp. save vs necro=11. save vs force= 12. death save=7. so I shook off the magical effects but I am unconscious and one step closer to the sweet release of death.

While unconscious and lying on the floor, Hobbes' body stops convulsing but his breathing is weak and shallow.

Kel - need a save v ongoing necrotic from you, please.

Barstow flails as Kel's attack hits him, and looks close to falling himself. He looks grimly satisfied as Hobbes crashes to the ground, twitching slightly.

Arrika grins as she can move again, and she drops back into the tower.

Move to F5.

Her dark magics settle over Rapt, and then she points her wand at Rapt, and tries to pull her curse tighter over him.

Infectious Curse on Rapt, targets Fort. 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19. On hit: 2d12 + 6 ⇒ (6, 3) + 6 = 15 damage, he slides to L11, and any enemy that starts the turn adjacent to him gains my curse. On miss, I take 9, keep the power, and get +4 to use it on him before EOMNT.

I assume he shifted back? In that case, Combat Challenge: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (13) + 15 = 281d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

"You want a joke? Fine, here's a joke. Dwarf challenges me to fight. Dwarf tries to run from fight. Dwarf gets his scrawny little neck wrung." Kelgan says as he grabs Barstow's beard and attempts to pull him into his strike.

To H15 and Grappling Strike(Grabbed until EOMNT if hit,2 damage if missed): 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (12) + 15 = 271d10 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Barstow fails to see the funny side as Kelgan takes a swing at him and yanks him hard by the beard. But for the enforced weakness of the blows, the dwarf might well be dead.

"Damm dude, don't you know you're suposed to be dead by now."

Fire two arrows at Barstow.
1st, attack vs ac, 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18, damage = 1d12 + 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (5) + (6) + 7 = 18
2nd, attack vs ac, 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23, damage = 1d12 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

Edit: Using Elven Acuracy to replace the first roll, 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31

waiting for Kel's attacks to be resolved before I act

"He doesn't know how to take a hint, Kel. Remind him of his impending death, will you?"

Barstow grins as it looks as if neither of Kel's arrows will hit him, and then grimaces as the elf's heritage kicks in and the first arrow changes flight in mid-air.

"Good joke..."

The dwarf sags in Kelgan's arms, held there in an incongruous embrace.

Kel - dead or unconscious?

"Now, where did that last one go?" Hobbes asks aloud as he turns to Rapt. "I don't suppose you'd care to be reasonable? I promise to spare your life in exchange for information on Barstow, his plans, hig gang, and his mysterious patrons." Then he cocks his head in a lopsided grin. "We will deliver you to the authorities for the bounty, of course, but you will be alive when we do so. What happens to you next is up to you and the good people of Oreme."

He starts walking towards him, fully confident in the elixier's power to protect him from the spellscarred's power. walk to L7

"What say you, scarred one? Death or Justice, what will it be?" Hobbes says as he begins to summon an Acid Orb. He holds the green glowing sphere in his hand as he looks at Rapt, awaiting his answer.

last chance for Rapt. Is he a zealot, willing to die for whatever they're doing or is he more "practical" like most rogues I know? what do the authorities want them for? Theft? last I heard, that's not a capital offense. Do you want me to make a diplomacy check to convince him? like Diplomacy=1d20+14= 34 (I kid you not, just rolled it) Even without the Diplomacy, it would seem like a pretty good deal. With Barstow dead, his morale has got to be shaken. I just want to know more than Gregor here can probably tell us. Maybe Rapt doesn't know, but then we at least get to deliver a live criminal to the authorities, instead of just some corpses.

Hopefully the authorities don't want him swinging in the wind...a man with nothing to lose may not surrender...which Ava does relish the thought. We can try to knock him unconcious if you like.
