"Is this a friend of yours?" Rapt casts a suspicious glance at Urlag.

"Was, my flaming friend, was. He worked for me for a time. I'd call him more of a turncoat." Barstow's tone is benign, but his face tells a different story.

I assume the brown things to be either tables, beds, or bookcases? I'm going to need some heights to determine if line of sight is going to be a problem. Kel will, too. He's ranged, like me.

Male Elf Ranger

Kel marks Elia with hunters quary and fires two arrows at her.
then moves to E4.

1st arrow, attack vs ac, 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15, damage = 1d12 + 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (10) + (6) + 7 = 23
2nd arrow, attack vs ac, 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32, damage = 1d12 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18.

Male Human Sorcerer 9

i'm waiting for an update and an answer to the brown things and whether they block line of sight. I am planning to move around the top one to get a good sight line to the spellscarred and barstow. also, what's that green thing behind the spellscarred guy??

Dark brown things are bookcases and rise 10 feet. They do block line of sight, but they also provide cover.

Light brown things are tables, desks and so on. They don't block line of sight, but are difficult terrain to climb over.

Green stuff identifiable with a DC21 Arcana check.

Rest of the update to follow shortly.

Kel's first arrow fails to find a mark, but the second pierces Elia's armour and the burly warrior woman grunts slightly.

All allies +1 to speed to end Urlag's next turn.

Kelgan - gets a free move and basic attack against Elia courtesy of Urlag.

After his lightning bolt hits, Hobbes calls out to Barstow, "Surrender now, Barstow, and I can guarantee your life. If not, this WILL be your last fight, I assure you."

Moving instinctively, the tiefling emerges from the bookcase and curses Elia before launching an unsuccessful attack on the warrior woman.

Hobbes meanwhile confronts Barstow face on, lashing the dwarf with lightning.

"That's not the way to open negotiations, pretty boy. And Urlag must have told you the Bloodhounds don't surrender. We survive."

Gregor isn't tied up, but he is being held in place by the two spellscarred.

The green gloop is spilled elixir. It protects against creatures that use blue fire and is what Gregor was working on when Barstow and his crew arrived.
As a standard action, a creature can scoop some up and splash itself with it. Doing so protects that creature from the next two attacks before the end of the encounter with the FORCE, POLYMORPH or PSYCHIC keywords.

Since Ava hit, Kelji is stuck in that square, right? Combat Superiority? Or did she take Combat Agility instead? Did Kelgan switch that out when he converted to the Brawler Build?

EDIT: Actually, just checked and that was something Ava didn't get as a hybrid character. But Kelgan does have it so if he hits, then Kelji is stuck back at H10, as it were.

EDIT: I think you meant Urlag gets a OA on Kelji as she moves, Kelgan is not in position. Which really sucks because I wanted to keep them locked down over there to finsih them off. Urlag most definitely does not have Combat Superiority.

Hobbes is right. Urlag gets the second OA on Kelji. I shouldn't try and do complex posts when I'm supposed to be on my way somewhere else.

Once he's there, he reaches into his cloak and pulls out another staff. "Hey, Barstow! You liked my lightning so much, I thought I'd give you my fire spell as well! Enjoy!"

used my minor to pull out staff of war mage +1, and then using the staff of the war mage+1, I will cast prime the fire on square L9 and activate the staff's daily, as a free action, which turns my area 1 into area 2, thus attacking all three enemies, Kelji, Barstow, and Lohm, d20+11 vs Fort, 26, 31(crit), and 21, if hit, Kelji and Lohm take 2d8+10 or 23 fire and will take add'l 2d8 fire if they attack before the start of my next turn. Barstow, thanks to my crit, takes 26+1d8 or 30 fire damage and 2d8 fire if he attacks before my next turn. and lastly save= 4. crap, almost perfect round. Oh, well...

Hobbes summons the magic of the staff and uses it to empower his fire spell. The resulting blast is bigger than it would normally be and catches three of the gang in its blast. He shudders as he attempts to shake off the lingering effects of Barstow's spell, to no avail.

Hobbes bellows out instructions as he scuttles around the bookcases. The rampant flames he conjures hit Barstow, but do no damage to Kelji or Lohm, who are both made of stronger stuff.

Barstow shakes his head. "Shouldn't do that to my crew. You're going to fry a little for that."

Dark flames rip through his fingers and land to engulf Kelgan, Urlag and Ava.

Dark Flames (Ref): Burst 1 within 10. Centred on F9.
1d20+14=24 - Barstow v Kelgan. Hits.

The dwarf shrugs as Hobbes's retribution hits and he moves towards the protective runes.

Male Half-Orc Fighter 8

I'm now bloodied, so 5 temp HP.

Kelgan's grip briefly fades as the flames engulf him. "I wasn't expecting you to be this strong." A smile begins to split Kelgan's face. "This is more fun than I expected." Laughing uproariously, he tightens his grip and sends his bastard sword crashing down on the woman in his grasp.

Grappling Strike, with Furious Assault if it hits: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (17) + 15 = 322d10 + 7 ⇒ (6, 3) + 7 = 16

Kelgan may battered, but his immediate victim looks worse. Lohm releases Gregor in favour of trying to get Elia back in the fight.

Blue Fire Succour (minor). Ally within 5 regains 11hp and 1d6 temp hp.

Then he turns on Kelgan, his orb flashing blue and sending bolts of force into the half-orc.

Ava lowers her head solemnly, chanting in high elven in whispered tones, moving her arms about her in complex patterns. As she does so, motes of magical energy begin to form and swirl about her...and then are dispersed as she releases the spell. Nothing seems to happen, although those she had targeted with it may see differently...

Ava turns her head to Urlag and says, "I gather you would like the non-offending human alive?"

Standard Action: Visions of Avarice on N-8

Spoiler:
Range: Area 1 square within 10 squares; Effect: The powers area becomes a zone of illusory treasure (or things they desire, as I like to interpet it :)) that lasts until the end of your next turn. Once per turn, you can use the Visions of Avarice Attack power, using the zone as the origin square; Sustain Minor: The zone persists.

Minor Action: Visions of Avarice, Close Burst 3 on Kelji, Lohm, Gregor, and Rapt
Kelji, 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26 vs Will
Lohm, 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12 vs Will
Gregor, 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25 vs Will
Rapt, 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23 vs Will
Effect: The zone pulls the target 3 squares. A target that ends this movement within the zone or adjacent to the zone is immobilized (SE)

Rosey: Depending on who ends up where, I'd like to hold on for the results to finish my turn, if thats ok with you, Rosey. As for the power, its kinda vague but it seems to use the zone as the starting point for the Visions of Avarice at will power, which would mean it would target Kelji, right? Or am I misreading it?
Lastly, I dont know if I have control of the pull, but if possible could I pull Rapt to N-9?

Ava conjures visions only her victims can see. Lohm ignores the lures, but for Kelji, Gregor and Rapt, the pull is irresistible...

Ava - I agree that the focal point of the zone must be the source of the pull or the power doesn't make a lot of sense. Usually when a power says you force move as an effect, you have control over it, so put them where you want. Gregor and Rapt are immobilised regardless as they end either in or adjacent to the zone (in Rapt's case, he'll be in it if you pull him to N9).

Kelji - marked by Ava; cursed by Arrika
Kel
Hobbes - 5 ongoing necrotic (se); dazed to end Rapt's next turn

Ava gives an evil smile as her enemies are lured into her trap. "Humans and their vices...", sneers the Eladrin as a strong gust of wind hits out of nowhere, dashing her form to dust. The particles whirl about the chamber in a vortex and reforms near Lohm. Ava strikes out with her Runic blade at Lohm, and then deftly maneuvers towards Rapt and strikes again...

Action Point!
Move Action: Fae Step to L-9
Standard Action: Passing Attack on Lohm, 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31 vs AC; Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 damage, and the target is Marked
Shift: to M-9
Secondary Attack: Passing Attack on Rapt, 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14 vs AC; Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 damage, and the target is Marked

BloodIron Drakescale Armor: When you hit a target, you gain a +2 AC item bonus against attacks from that target till end of your next turn. Does that count for the Visions of Avarice or just phycial attacks?

Rosey: I'm not sure if you moved Kelji 3 square into the zone.

Ava confirms her own sense of superiority as she easily overwhelms the feeble minds of her foes and follows up with a well-placed sword thrust to Lohm's guts. Rapt is so beguiled by whatever it is he sees that he effortlessly eludes her blade. Kelji walks into the light and you hear her murmuring "Terimon, back from the dead. I must get to him."

Her twin calls out in despair from the table where she is pinioned under Kelgan's bulk.

"Get back here you fool! I need help!"

Hadn't moved her as wasn't sure where you wanted her, but have now done so.

"Your twin is busy at the moment", sneers Ava to Elia, "my comrades will grant you your solace."

lol Rev, I like that, "confirmed her own sense of superiority" :D Oh Rev, for the bloodiron drakescale, would that count as hitting with an attack for the AC bonus?

Male Elf Ranger

Can Ava shift to M10? Now that you got a group of them together I want to try my new area effect power and don't want to catch Ava in it.

Kel: What does it do? If it helps more then what I'm doing now, then sure, but I went to M-9 to keep Lohm and Rapt under lock and draw any OA's if they try to range attack you all.
