Jon, I realized that I forgot to apply the skill points and extra feat that Jennifer gets for being human. I'm adding the four points and Improved Initiative, if that's all right.

The Modern Path SRD has some aluminum cases, but they're larger than what's required, and I have no idea how x-proof an aluminum case is. If that's helpful.

Such is the fun of mixing systems. XD I managed to mostly avoid overlap myself, although I did end up with stuff like "Detect Secret Doors" as a 3/day and a 1/day power.

...Though, I should probably note that without Expanded Charm, you're still pretty limited there, and Detect Thoughts might actually be better until/unless you pick that up...

Detect thoughts has certain advantages, but it just makes more sense to directly convert it to the SoP analog. My other SLAs do not have good analogs as far as I'm aware, but that one does. It's just simpler that way.

Actually I thought about this the laws would actually be much stricter.

In this setting where secrecy is paramount and "adult" age varies from race to race things can get very sticky very fast if an inebriated mage waltzes into a public setting and does something unexplainable. Even our fletchling here still has her license because getting pulled over by cops is annoying enough without trying to explain why the laws don't apply to you.

Sides, I had a character concept that was a sheriffs deputy. You can have cops that check in on these things to make sure some silly teenager doesn't get drunk and whisked off by sparkly vampires.

One thing about narration: do you prefer us using present or past tenses? I'm used to present, but I can do my best to use the past if you'd prefer.

I don't mind. If I'm completely honest, I'm having a good day when I don't veer wildly between the two. I think we typically use past tense, but majority rules on this one - which are you folks most comfortable with?

I use present tense, but I rarely notice when people use past tense. As long as the words and actions are communicated clearly, there's no issue.

I try very hard not to flip within the same post, but I don't really prefer one way or the other. I've not had any (I am not having any?) difficulty understanding, and I've enjoyed all the posts so far.

I've found that past tense seems to work better for play-by-post, myself. It helps the overall campaign read a little more like a story, without the jarring POV changes that present tense offers.

Yes, they do. I have a permanent +5 racial bonus to Perception from my Psychometer package, and a circumstance-based +10 racial bonus to spot stuff from my Clairvoyant package. Unlike most bonuses, racial bonuses do stack. Finding stuff is basically her specialty. XD I considered going for the Clairaudient package as well (which would make it just a flat +10, instead of limiting that bonus to spotting things), but that seemed like it would be overdoing things.

That said, while it's good for finding problems, it's not quite so good for solving them... so I honestly don't expect it to be a serious disruption or anything. Perception checks are usually set with the expectation that at least one member of the party has a good chance of making it, after all. Miyu is just the one most likely to do that. XD

Nurai is talking to [and sense motive-ing and detect magicking and her shadow eidolon is annoyed at] the cloaked figure coming towards the restroom.

Nurai's intention is to block people interrupting you all since bright sparkly bathroom is not the strongest place for her to hide her abilities...and she can see into it if needed anyways. Cloaked person is setting of Nurai's 'yeah, no not you' vibes.
