Spaulding Dunn |

Almost back home. Should be able to post more normally next week, but lots of travel during the holidays.
Stimpack (x2) 350
Radaway 175
Rad-X 200
Bedroll Kit 75
Binoculars 50
Duct Tape (x2) 20
Total: 860 caps
I can't remember how much 10mm ammo was, and can't find it at a quick glance on the equipment list, but if available Spaulding would probably buy some more.

thegreenteagamer |

Yeah, I've got a lot to fix on that campaign info sheet this weekend. I copied from the discussion page on my phone and hit the max characters it would hold, apparently, so it cuts off halfway through the implants. I'll try to get to some internet on my computer this weekend and fix it. Sorry about that. Bargain discount 1 cap each for up to 100 because I can't find the real price.

Mickey Rios |

GM, you might want to consider just loading everything up to a Google Doc. That way you could have properly aligned tables and everything, and the only thing you would need to add here would be a link or two.

thegreenteagamer |

Yeah, I probably will be doing that soon. My wife is not exactly beings as productive as I'd want prettying it up, so I might as well put up the source file.

thegreenteagamer |

Yep. It was the character limit for the Campaign Information page, that's why it cut off before ammo, halfway through implants.
I'm working on a rough draft player's document as a google doc. Should have it up in a little while.
...apparently Google Docs does not like it when you paste 20 pages of data in it at a time from a Word document.

Rynjin |

Rather than only being in the Campaign Info, it might be better if you put the map link and Docs link in the Campaign Description, right under "A Savage Worlds conversion of Fallout set in post-apocalyptic Florida".

Mickey Rios |

Super busy at work today, guys. Won't be able to post until later this afternoon. Bot me if you need to.

thegreenteagamer |

Well I'm off Christmas eve and my wife is not, so I'll be bored...doesn't seem like we have call to cancel or delay anyone, but it might be slow. Just a heads up for all others. I always like free communication. :-)

thegreenteagamer |

Updated the Google Doc; added tables for General Equipment (the longest part that took over two hours just to delete all the extra spaces added when I copied and pasted from my OpenOffice document) and 1-handed fighting weapons.
Just FYI I plan on tabling out all the equipment eventually, over time.

thegreenteagamer |

Or I THOUGHT I did...it kept saying "Changes Saved Offline" and it's been "Syncing Offline Changes" for a while now. So help me if two hours of changes didn't update...

Mickey Rios |

Oh, man. I'm so sorry to hear that. I can only think of one time Google Docs didn't save my changes, and that involved a power outage. Seems like you won the lotto of bad luck.
Well, Feliz Navidad y Prospero Año, GM.

Mickey Rios |

Reading the doc now. One quick note: Intimidation is based on "Spirit" in the Deluxe books. Not "Smarts".
Not sure if you meant to do that, or if that was just a typo.

thegreenteagamer |

So, I brought my computer to work where the internet connection is much stronger than the WiFi I was using before, opened up the Google Doc, and everything Sync'd up from all the work I did before. So new tables! Color coded for ease of reading!

The Green Tea Overseer |

I'm going to step out of this game. It's obvious my lack of using the map skills, and posting rate don't jive with what you need. Thanks for the opportunity, and good luck.
Sorry to see you go. You'll note, I hope, that I corrected myself in regards to the map issue a minute ago, but I that's your choice, that's fine.
Do the rest of you have anyone you'd like to invite to take his place before I look for a replacement should his mind not be changed?

Mickey Rios |

Sad to see you go, Spaulding.
GM, I think we should bot his character for now. I can't think of anyone at the top of my head who could join us and keep up. This is a really fast group. We should probably recruit from outside with a warning that we post uber fast.

The Green Tea Overseer |

That's exactly what I was thinking, but I figured if you played with anyone who you knew that was this fast, preference should be given.
Pretty much was gonna have Spaulding pull a grenade out and go hero style after your turns were all up. Yeah, he doesn't HAVE a grenade, but...meh...he has three bennies left, and could have bought one before you left, so I think that's a fair play.

thegreenteagamer |

Will be putting the ants actions I soon...if you all want I can say he's aggro-ing them all on him for you to have a chance to withdraw.
Gonna leave that up to vote, since there's three of you.

Loup Blanc |

If it's clear Spaulding's really leaving, and doesn't want to return, I'd say yeah, he might as well go out with a bang. Get them to surround him, take them out if possible with an explosion or something, and give us time to regroup outside. If we do this right we may be able to set up a killzone again, or just leave and come back.

thegreenteagamer |

Yes, I'd rather he'd stay. Nevertheless people are free to make their own decisions. Seems a split vote. I'll just wait for Mickey's call, or should Spaulding change his mind.

Loup Blanc |

I mean, I do agree with Rynjin. It's usually better to have old players' characters retire or move off on their own, with the possibility of coming back some day. I prefer to have them put on a bus than die outright.
But a heroic stand is pretty cool too, and honestly I'm not sure how best he would just sort of disappear at this point, without disrupting our combat and reasonably causing our characters to be kind of miffed.

Mickey Rios |

Yeah, it is kind of a toss up. I've had folks switch characters who preferred the whole "put on a bus" spiel. But I've also had others ask me to "make it as bloody as possible". Folks are just different that way.
Send him a PM and see what he prefers. We can certainly wait a day for his response.

thegreenteagamer |

He said to take whatever literary licence I felt necessary. I gotta go with Loup - story wise if he just walks away it doesn't really make much sense.
On another note, there's a whole lot of Google Document updain' goin' down. Tables, tables, and more reader-friendly tables!

Spencer Collin |

Hope my explanation for Spencer leaving is okay. He's Heroic, so I think normally he would have stayed himself to the end, but from a meta-point of view, two characters going out in a heroic sacrifice might have been a bit... unnecessary.

The Green Tea Overseer |

No, that's fine. It's kinda why he made the speech to Mickey, since he seemed to be about to do the same thing. Fact of the matter is without hit and run tactics the sheer numbers were going to overrun, so running up and charging as a group will only end in sadness. I designed the map with rooms to jump in and tables to climb and walls to dart around, and an entrance to bottleneck, and never figured this would happen.
It's like they say, plan for every incident, and watch as your players (and the dice) inevitably suprise you.

Mickey Rios |

The dice can be a cruel mistress. We just got real unlucky. It happens.

The Green Tea Overseer |

The pickings seem slim this time around.
I had expected, given the last rush for group B (if you feel like seeing how they're doing), to get a lot more than two people in 24 hours.
I am playing in a game of Mourge40k's, and he seems pretty detailed, but his posting rate has been abysmal of late. He says he's available much more frequently starting next week, so that's a plus.
How long do you guys think I should leave recruitment open?
This is a team thing, so if any of you want to pop by the thread and leave suggestions or comments, by all means, please do (if anything to bump the sucker, ha)!
Anyway, the map is redone. If you decide to keep moving without waiting, the ants will remain where they are. If you want to take som time to patch up and maybe rest in town or something, they will have time to redistribute...and possibly more come from the hole, but possibly not...

Sundakan |

So, full disclosure to everyone, the last account got banned. There doesn't appear to be a moratorium on new accounts here, but I believe the implicit understanding is that the persona stays dead.
I made this new one for the sole purpose of continuing my play by post games.
So, Fitz is back, unless this account gets blammered too.
On the bright side, this gives me a chance to actually change his first name to just Fitz. Not like "Nathan" has ever been said by anyone so far anyway.

thegreenteagamer |

So, you know what I realized? I think I forgot to have Spencer roll vs addiction for the Radaway...huh. (In Fallout 1&2, radaway had a minor addiction chance; I ported that, 'cause, yeah I did.) My fault is your gain, though, so don't worry about it now!

Mickey Rios |

Sorry for the delay. I've had an extremely busy couple of days what with some last minute visits by family. Catching up now.

Sundakan |

So no opinions on the two who applied at the recruit thread I put up?
So, there's Atlas 2112. He's already in both of the other games, and I have yet to make up my mind on whether I like his Justice League Generations character (she's initiated PvP, which I'm not a fan of).
Emissary is so far the only one who's actually made a character.

Redbeard the Scruffy |

I'm bringing one, possibly two new players in to replace Spaulding. One is a BoS mechanic, and the other, if I decide to take him also, is a rednecky ghoul who would fit in where you are. The BoS member could be sent because Jameson got tired of waiting for you guys. The ghoul can be from town.
