Binx, Dolgrin, and Eb stare down onto the circle and with combined efforts remember hearing about summoning circles. They are typically used to bring specific creatures or entities through from a different plane to the material plane. They are not two-way "portals" only one way. But there is also no way of know if it has been used; or if so what was brought into this plane.

The group decides to head west, down the hallway they came from and bisect the hallway where the sounds of battle are coming from. They approach the noisy hallway, burning minion at the forefront, and Binx can clearly hear the directions of a commander to their troops.

Binx steps around the corner and fires a sickly green ray at the nearest Duergar. Cursing in Necril at his miss, he orders Mr. Bones to attack.

Eb follows Binx into the north tunnel, and chants out an off tune dwarven lullaby.

Binx, commands his minion to attack the nearest enemy, which it happily does so. It raises both its claws and rends the unsuspecting dwarf in two, causing the buddy to get visibly angry. But a few moments later, the anger fades away as Eb sings a lullaby that hits a soft spot in the enemy's callous heart and it falls into a deep slumber.

As one enemy falls, Eb and Binx can see four more Duergar trying to flee back towards where the party is. What or why they are fleeing is still a mystery.

Stupid question maybe, but how close are the other duergar? Some of them might have been caught in the 10 ft radius burst of the sleep spell

Dolgrin moved up next to the skeleton and tried to finish the sleeping Duergar with a swing of his warhammer.

Don't see the new enemies on the map so I'm not sure if I can engage.


There is a row of empty squares before the next Duergar start. Sleep is 10 foot radius and a full round cast time so the dwarf should have actually still been up but I am not gonna worry bout that since Dol would have killed it with his blow anyways. But Marvin you can engage the next wave if you wish, not engaged in melee, they will have sift cover due to slight slope in terrain

Dolgrin moves up next to the minion and takes a mighty swing with his trusty hammer on the sleeping foe. He easily connects with the hapless enemy and decisively crushes its cranium in. Marvin, steps up to be able to see the heads of the next wave of Duergar just beyond.

Marvin moves to be able to get sight on one, but he overcorrects for the slight slope of the cavern tunnel and the arrow sails wide overhead and goes far beyond the enemy line.

The duergar, seem very surprised that there other people in the caves. The look at the large foreboding orc in front of them, and look back at the tunnel from whence they came. The decide that in order to get out of their current predicament is to fight their way out. The two dark dwarves step forward. One goes after Thirakiz, and the other walks by him in an effort to get to Dolgrin.

The orc, quite upset that the enemy blows him off and simply walks by takes a swing with his large sword, and cleaves the enemy in half. The remaining enemy, steps up and takes a swing of his own on behalf of him fallen comrade and digs a chunk of flesh out the the orc in return.

Right after the fleeing dwarves attempt their escape, right behind them appear to be the cause of the fleeing. A tiny winged demon, with curved ram horns sprouting from it head approach the remaining duergar. It lashes out with a flurry of swipes and a bite. The remain dark dwarf falls to the tiny gashes.

Yep. I'll keep it as a to hit penalty. We're almost out of healing, and that little critter tore the duergar to shreds.... lasts 8 rnds on a failed will save (DC16), 1 rnd if will succeeds.

Dolgrin, searches his memory banks for any information on what exactly the entity is before them, but can quite seem to figure it out.

Binx, orders his minion to take some swings at the new enemy. It lands a solid blow, that would easily fell a normal foe. This new enemy seems to relish in the fellow like-minded, love for destruction. The extra-dimensional beings body absorbs some of the damage, and you can see it laugh at the fire as it gets bathed in the glow.

It locks eyes, momentarily with the "old scrooge", as it gets a look of doom shot at it. It merely shrugs off the old-timers stare and focuses on the enemy at hand.

There's a small explosion as flames leap out of the far corridor. A dark haired halfling jumps from the room, then looks back into the flames with a smug smile. "Ha!" She turns and looks at the battle. "Oh." She stands still, looking at the fight as the fire behind her burns and spreads. "Hello there!"

"Friend or foe?" Dolgrin said at the sudden appearance of the halfling, he then looked back at the creature in front of him and said "Hmm, no time for that, let's first deal with this small demonic thing here and then we'll sort that mess out."
After uttering those words, Dolgrin moved next to the burning skeleton to take a swing at the small demonic creature.

Dolgrin, rat the appearance at the halfling, ponders momentarily of that, then refocuses himself and attacks the current threat, landing a solid blow. But once again, the creature seems to absorb some if the blow lessening the potential damage.

Marvin takes two shots, but indeed is having a very tough time. The tiny creature is using the larger enemies as cover, causing both arrows to plant in the stone floor far from their intended target.

The newcomer however, Triba is able to use the dwarf...even if temporarily as a distraction and aid in combat. With the creature slitting its attention, Triba is able to piece the enemy, right between its ribs, causing to creature to yelp in pain and collapse to the ground.

Dolgrin, seeing that there aren't any more combatants coming, puts away his shield.
"If ya don't mind, I'm going to make certain we finished the job, before we continue with the pleasantries", Dolgrin said bringing his warhammer, grasped in both hands, down on the creature in front of him.
Coup de grace auto hit/auto crit damage (warhammer is x3): 3d8 + 18 ⇒ (1, 3, 4) + 18 = 26
"That should do the trick" Dolgrin said whilst cleaning of anything still stuck to his warhammer and then looked towards Triba.
"Although I am grateful for the timely assist you provided, I'm with him on this one. Why are you so confident we'll take you on?" he said while gesturing towards Binx.

Eb took a liking to the Halfling immediately, but he had been told long ago by someone close to him that he was too trusting, so he kept quiet and let his comrades do the talking, his gaze snapping back and forth between the various speakers.

"Well because I was sent by the same person, wasn't I? I'm reinforcements as it was." Assuming she has one Triba shows the stone she has.


yes, you have a stone...will try to get the "new" area up this weekend if computer and program will allow. Otherwise it may simply be text based...any objections and or thoughts?

Dolgrin utterly crushes the quasit into goo (fast healing can only work when alive lol)

Smoke billows out from behind Triba...looks like she was a bit over the top.
