Actually I have a PFS character who is a pally/fighter thrower who does heavy armor and a shield. He's a slow moving pillbox, and if he's smiting, it gets plenty ugly (and he keeps a good AC).

Done! New spells are cause fear and summon monster I. Picked Skeleton Summoner for my feat. Gained an additional language (Dwarven) and a couple more Knowledge skills. I think that's everything of note.

Question for rest of the party: Should I continue to memorize Enlarge person? Dolgrin, I see you prefer to fight pretty defensively in close, would it hinder or help you?

Well, my AC is currently at 17, which would drop by 2 (-1 from size, -1 from -2 dex). It would up my damage potential from 1d8+4 to 2d6+5.

So it would indeed up the damage potential quite a bit in return making me more easily damaged. If I am to be the main damage dealer of the party, then it might be handy in a pinch. What would you want to put in it if you wouldn't keep that one prepared?

My spell selection currently is :
Spells Prepared
lvl 0 : Create water, Purify food & drink, Stabilize, Light
lvl 1 : Bless, Bless, Cure Light Wounds, Magic Stone [Domain]
lvl 2 : Groundswell, Cure Moderate Wounds, Create Pit[Domain]
I liked the idea of the groundswell spell, as it would help if surrounded by a lot of foes, but maybe I can find a better 2nd lvl spell to currently put in its place (btw, as it is a spell with the [earth] descriptor, it works as if i'm 4th lvl due to my stonesinger alternate racial trait), so I'm open for suggestions :)

I have a small question.
We are going to rest right? how much hp do we heal this night (if not interrupted) 2 or 3?
Was planning on using his last CLW of lvl 2 before going to bed :
CLW: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

Just picked up deadly aim. I think I'm going to be the main damage dealer, though since you don't get heavy armor access, you might have an issue being a tank.

@Eb: I just noticed that you're using the "Old" adjustments for stats. Was that always available? Because Binx would definitely be using them if so. :-)

@triba, I seem to remember that converting a spell in that way was a full round action. Can't seem to find it though, so any suggestions instead of the cures?

It is not a full round action in Pathfinder or any other edition that I am aware of.

  • An open slot for massive versatility given time.
  • Obscuring mist as it is a spell that favors the inventive.
  • Protection from evil for obvious reasons.
  • Shield of faith for defense.
  • Sanctuary for emergency defense.
  • Sun metal for damages.
  • Ironbeard for lolz.

The spontaneous spell conversion is a full-round action for Druids, but that's the normal spellcasting time for summon nature's ally anyway. I've had players and GMs tell me the same thing about Clerics, but I haven't found anything in the RAW. Triba's spell suggestions are all very good options, but I'd probably go for shield of faith as you're going to be our main frontliner. I have two summon prepped, but that's about all we have.

Obscuring mist would make fire support rather difficult, but the rest are decent.

Considering we're short on melee, cutting off ranged abilities would be bad.

Btw, was checking lvl 2 spells for Clerics and found this I do think it's normally only for cleric's of a certain deity, but I must say it's a nice spell. If that's not allowed, I can always go for Spiritual weapon.

d20 changes the names of Golarion-specific spells. The actual name is "Gozreh's Trident". It was a fun spell for my S&S Druid, but not so much (imho) for a Cleric of Torag. ;-)

@Binx, might I suggest Acid Splash if you do not wish to waste any resources on the chest, as I am guessing that it has around Damage reduction 5 vs the weapons we have been using (piercing & blunt), but both my acid & Eb's ear-piercing scream came through without problem :)

@Dolgrin: You never updated your "Vitals" spoiler when you leveled. I believe you should have 27hp - which might mean you're still conscious.

euhm, woops. I knew there was something wrong with only having that little hitpoints on lvl 3 .....
So quick calculation means I would have been at 7 of 27 hp.
How do you want to go about this GM?


I will say that you you are still standing of course. Y will take the crit hit, but Triba will still administer the CMW to bring you back to full. You CAN still take your turn, but I will say forego the surprise round because it will be too difficult to rewind that far.

Acceptable to you?
