Initiatives Rd 1:

Svetla: 12
Navorn:11
Divel: 10
Eldon: 9
Ingrahild: 7
Merzhan: 7
Borondon: 7
Sondergang: 5

The bony inhabitants swarm towards the frozen form of Divel. Raising rusty warhammers, the undead dwarves attack.

I am going to assume you were all right behind Divel, but he was in the doorway. Post up your actions and I will fashion a new map today.

The Exchange

Male Human Sorceror 3

Merzhan steps back snf begins sniping unleashing a Firebolt at a skeleton in the back row.

1d20+2=14, 1d6+1=2

Female Dwarf Cleric 3 (Favoured Class)

Ingra will Channel Energy towards the undead I am at work, can someone roll for Ingra

Male Dwarf Fighter 3

Assuming Divel retreats from the doorway. Borondon will step in to take his place.

melee attack with dwarven waraxe: 1d20+6=9

Ingra's channel positive energy damage: 1d6=3

>>NEW MAP<<

Bribes always welcome

The three skeletons closest to the doorway attempt to strike Divel

1d20+1=15, 1d6+1=7, 1d20+1=9, 1d6+1=4, 1d20+1=8, 1d6+1=2

Their warhammers strike the door and the lintel, leaving Divel unhearmed.

Svetla rushes up to assist the elf

Moves to Z10 and attacks:

1d20+3=6, 1d8+3=8

Svetla's blade doesn't manage to reach the skeletons. The blade strikes sparks off the wall as she tries to get a good angle on the undead foe.

I'll give Navorn/Seeker a chance to post, then move to the other actions.

Male Elf Rogue3 (favoured class)

As the dwarves move on the skeletons, the elf takes a few choice steps back through the party, lifting the torch to help the others.

Sovereign Court

Male variable 12th lvl Dm/5th level fanboy/3rd Lvl Pedant

Sondergang grips his hammer and intones a curse upon the undead. But torags power is still weak within him

1d6=1...how many more 1s can I roll for this

Will save DC14(I have been forgetting my trait which adds two to the check DC)

Bribes always welcome

The skeletons are hit with Ingra's and Sondergang's blasts of divine energy. The positive energy smashes into the rank of skeletons, causing six of them to turn and head for the back of the room.

I'm assuming that things will be a mite slow until Christmas is over. I'll post up a revised map soon.

Male Human 3rd

Sorry guys have had issues with the storms and all
Knowing his weapon is near useless Navorn goes on the defensive and try's to keep the undead pinned in the room, as he starts to sing and courage fills the group.

Inspire courage

Bribes always welcome

Merry Christmas everyone. We can resolve the skelli battle later, have some fun this season! :)

The Exchange

Male Human Sorceror 3

Merry Christmas and Happy Hannukah to all!!

Female Human Fighter (F) 3

Happy Holidays! Hope everyone got what they want. I fear Patrick did with the Tome of Horrors II.

Svetla moves forward Z10, enabling her to prepare to flank any skeleton the exits the room.

>>UPDATED MAP<<

Still need some placements. Post your actions for the round those who haven't

Bribes always welcome

Hope everyone had a good holiday. Best wishes for the final year of the Aughts!

A cobwebbed-bedecked dwarven skeleton emerges from the room, its eyesockets aglow with a red fire. The tatters of armor gird its bony body, clanking with a dissonant sound. It raises its hammer, ready to attack. Several others crowd behind it.

The Exchange

Male Human Sorceror 3

Taking careful aim, Merzhan fires another bolt through the open door at one of the skeletons Z11
1d20+2=16, 1d6+1=7

Male Elf Rogue3 (favoured class)

Divel withdraws back up the corridor away from the skeletons, passed Eldon.

"Dagger useless."

Male Dwarf Fighter 3

Borondon will still try to do his original action.

I think we lost Eldon. Joey hasn't posted under any of his aliases in about a month.

Bribes always welcome

That's who I was worried about. Too bad, I liked Joey's character Eldon. I'm sorry I didn't move your icon over Borondon, I shall do so.

Borondon squeezes through the narrow corridor to strike at the cobwebbed skeleton. His axe just misses, sending a shower of sparks up as it hits the side of the hall.

Bribes always welcome

OK I am assuming Joey is AWOL for the time being, so I will run the halfling as an NPC for now.

Eldon crowds close to Ingra, realizing his dagger will be useless against the animated bones. Merzhan's firebolts set two skeletons aflame

I will redo the map, we are headed to Rd 2 now. Post new actions and I will have the new map up soon

Initiatives Rd 2:

Skeletons: 16 [attacking]
Svetla: 12
Navorn:11 [inspiring courage]
Divel: 10 [Holding defensive]
Eldon: 9 [holding defensive]
Ingrahild: 7
Merzhan: 7 [firebolt 2]
Borondon: 7
Sondergang: 5

The ancient bones begin to swarm out of the room, looking to drag some adventurers down to hell with them.

On Svetla: 1d20+1=18, 1d6+1=6, On Navorn: 1d20+1=2, 1d6+1=3, On Borondon: 1d20+1=10, 1d6+1=3

The skeleton facing Svetla lands a crushing blow to the young warrior. The skeleton on Navorn attempts to hit him, but its hammer drops to the ground, along with the bony undead's wristbones. Borondon's foe swings and misses.

>>Updated Map<<

Male Dwarf Fighter 3

Borondon takes a swing at the skeleton in Y9.

dwarven waraxe attack: 1d20+7=27
crit confirmation: 1d20+7=15

That should get past the DR.

D'OH!

Borondon's axe shatters several of his opponent's rib bones, the yellowed shards tumbling through the air. Sondergang raises his hammer symbol and chants loudly once again. Another wave of energy crashes about his stout form. Two of the skeletons turn and begin to shamble down the hallway.

Ingra manages to switch places with the sinewy sorceror, her sheild affording him some protection from the swarming dead.

Female Human Fighter (F) 3

Just a quick post.

Her blade lashes out at the undead dwarf attacking her.

ATTACK: 1d20+3 = 17
DAMAGE: 1d8 +3 = 11

LoL. I forgot about that in my excitement.

Svetla's blade whips out in a tight arc and separates one of the dwarven skeleton's skull from its neck vertebrae. The small round yellow orb arcs towards Navorn, who knocks it aside with a well-timed flick of his weapon. The red fire dies from its sockets as it rolls along the corridor.

Suddenly there is a loud shriek. Divel turns and sees Eldon running down the corridor, pelting pell-mel for the entrance. The small halfling looks like he's seen a ghost (and mayhap he has).

Round Three!

Male Dwarf Fighter 3

Borondon yells in frustration as the skeleton in front of him is still standing after a blow that would have killed an ogre.

attack: 1d20+7=27

No way. Two 20's in a row and they don't count.

slashing damage: 1d10+5=8

The Exchange

Male Human Sorceror 3

"Thank Ingra,"

Taking advantage of the cover provided him by the stalwart dwarf maiden, Merzhan lines up his next shot, firing at the next skeleton to attempt to pass through the door.

Ranged touch 1d20+2=10, 1d6+1=6

"Divel, what in the hells is wrong with Eldon?"

Male Elf Rogue3 (favoured class)

Divel shrugs, "afraid and like my dagger."

He quickly searches his belt and backpack for anything to help the fight. "A club anyone?" His hands coming up empty.

Female Dwarf Cleric 3 (Favoured Class)

Ingra will grant Navron her +2 to AC

Male Human 3rd

Navorn Keeps his voice lifted in song courage flows though the party. He stays defensive while singing, wishing he had brought a more useful weapon.

Bribes always welcome

Initiatives Rd 3:

Skeletons: 16 [attacking]
Svetla: 12 [pending]
Navorn:11 [inspiring courage]
Divel: 10 [looking for a blunt instrument]
Ingrahild: 7 [protecting Merzhan]
Merzhan: 7 [firebolt 3]
Borondon: 7 [swing and a hit]
Sondergang: 5 [pending]

A few more skeletons emerge from the room. One still smokes from Merzhan's earlier fiery attack. One goes after Borondon, the other targets Sondergang

Borondon's 1d20+1=8, 1d6+1=2, Sondergang's: 1d20+1=20, 1d6+1=3

The hammer of the undead dwarf on Sondergang finds its mark, thudding into his side. Borondon's still-smoking adversary hits nothing but air with its blow.

Merzhan's bolt sizzles past his previously-scorched foe, barely missing him and splashing against the rock wall of the hallway. Borondon's swing separates the spinal vertebrae of the charred skeleton, the burnt old bones crumbling to dust.

Divel if you want an improvised weapon there are enough old table legs and such piled about for an ersatz club

Male Elf Rogue3 (favoured class)

Divel grabs a table leg and moves around the pit nearer the action.

"Not bad."

The elf makes a tentative swings with the carved club.

Male Dwarf Cleric 1 (favoured class)

Sondergang grunts as the hammer thuds into his chest and in reply unleashes a blow of his own

attack 1d20+2=15, damage 1d8+2=6

Bribes always welcome

Going to advance Svetla's attack:

ATK: 1d20+3=23, 1d8+3=6

Svetla's attack cuts through the charred neck vertebrae of the burnt skeleton. Its head drops to the ground, its red eyes fading as it hits the floor.

Man that no blade crit is a bytch huh?

Sondergang strikes his foe, shattering its ribcage. It staggers, but remains animate.

Round four!

The Exchange

Male Human Sorceror 3

With a roar of anger Merzahn fires his next shot at the first unharmed skeleton to enter his range.

1d20+2=21, 1d6+1=5

Female Dwarf Cleric 3 (Favoured Class)

Ingra continues to protect Navron with her shield, she assess her companions and hesitates to heal "Come on dears we will put these foes to rest like the others!"

Male Dwarf Fighter 3

"Aye, we will!"

Borondon continues to slash away at the skeletons:

attack: 1d20+7=15
slashing damage: 1d10+5=14

Male Elf Rogue3 (favoured class)

Divel calls for room to join the fight.

>>RD 4 MAP<<

Bribes always welcome

Initiatives Rd 4:

Skeletons: 16 [attacking]
Svetla: 12 [pending]
Navorn:11 [inspiring courage]
Divel: 10 [ready to club]
Ingrahild: 7 [protecting Merzhan]
Merzhan: 7 [firebolt 4]
Borondon: 7 [swing and a hit]
Sondergang: 5 [pending]

More skeletons emerge after the party kills the last ones, their bony feet crunching on the remains of their comrades in undeath.

Divel wades into battle, nimbly eeling around the pit, a large table leg clutched in his hand.
Looking at the SRD it says:

SRD wrote:
A character who uses a weapon with which he or she is not proficient takes a -4 penalty on attack rolls.

Assume the table leg does the damage of a club

Merzhan's firebolt sizzles over Ingra's and Sondergang's heads to engulf a recently-arrived skeleton in flames.

Borondon strikes the adjacent skeleton and his axe shatters it into a million shards. Another comes into the hallway to take its place.

Nice shot B

Female Human Fighter (F) 3

ATTACK: 1d20+3+2 = 21 Flanking. BD
DAMAGE: 1d8+3 = 8

Svetla's assaults the zombie that she now flanks with Divel's help.

Sorry about no 3rd round post. I'm sharing a computer with two other family members, plus my nieces were driving me nuts the other day. I should have my own computer back soon.

Male Elf Rogue3 (favoured class)

Divel sweeps the club two handed at the kneecap of the skeleton., with all the finesse of a drunken dwarf.

Attack roll 11+1=12, Damage 3+2+1+5=11.

It's all good, you swung well last round. :)

Svetla's sword whickers off a few rib bones from the skeleton Divel fights. The lithe elf swings an intricately-carved cobwebbed ironwood table leg, almost fossilized from the dungeon air and extreme age. The old furniture piece goes whizzing past the small skeleton's legbones, turning Divel with the force of the swing.

Bribes always welcome

Just need Sondergang then it's on to rd 5

The skeletons fight in eerie silence, the only sound the clack of their dry yellow bones and the rusty squeal of their tattered armor. Their empty eyesockets glow a baleful red and their bony jaws clack rhythmically as they swing their warhammers.

Bribes always welcome

Going to advance Sondergang's attack

1d20+2=11, 1d8+2=8

Sondergang attempts to strike the skeleton Merzhan enveloped in flame. His swing is a bit short, and thuds into the wall.

On to round 5! Post actions!

Male Elf Rogue3 (favoured class)

Divel pivots on the spot and the chairleg comes hurtling back on a reverse swing.

Rolled the same attack roll as last time.

The skeleton is ready however.
