Each PC gets to gear up. You take what you feel is reasonable and if the ghost feels you have over indulged you will know. As long as you don't go crazy you will be fine. Essentially gear up to roughly WBL level (or ~16000gp)

I put a couple big ticket items to make you decide versus 1 BIG item or a couple smaller items :)

Seeing that they still had difficulty figuring some of the items out, Liam called upon the arcane to try and determine their properties.
spellcraft on shield: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
spellcraft on the spiked stone plate?: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
spellcraft on the cloak's clasp?: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

After having shared anything new he figured out, Liam walked over to Wulfgar, Nils and Balthe. "I'm thinking one of you has better use out of this belt as it not only increases your strength, but also your durability. Seeing as I'm usually not in front and you guys are, one of you should take it. Only use I could get out of this is being capable of lifting some more weight. If that would ever be an issue I think one of you guys could lift or carry that which I cannot."

Liam gives the belt to one of the others, but keeps wearing the chain shirt. He walks over to Koan's statue taking the longbow and the quiver.
He then walks towards the ghosts. He kneels in front of them stating "I have taken that which I think will best fit my abilities and therefor will best help us on the quest we are about to undertake. I vow to return these items if we succeed."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25

Of you guys could summarize what you take in the discussion thread, that would be great :)

did we ever find out more information about the spiked stone plate?

Nope, both Liam and my npc Bronx failed the check for the spiked stone plate

Liam, as you don the armor, then take the longbow and the quiver the ghost of King Koan appears.

Are you sure you need all that young one?

the bow+quiver & armor is well beyond the WBL. You could go bow+quiver, chain shirt+ ?? The armor is essentially a +4 armor.

a cloak and the belt, that's more than enough considering these fine steel weapons and armor they have given us

After donning the black cloak with the hammer clasp, Wulfgar accepts the belt offered by Liam. Taking off the belt of giant strength +2 he was wearing and handing it back to Liam and putting on the belt from the second King, Ceazro. Wulfgar bows to the second king and thanks him for the belt.

I will strrrrive to be brinkink death to our mutual enemies, Da.

turning to his friends

well comrrrrades what items are you selectink?

would the dwarves have the ability or desire to cast +1 on any of the armor or weapons they have provided? Or do we not have the time to do that. On a second note did the ghosts kill the sorceress or just knock her out and convincer her to help us?

Liam looked at the weapons and the armor, now realizing that the armor had more powers than meets the eye.
"No, you are right. Eventhough I'm sure I could use the bow, but I'm not really an archer", he said putting back the bow and quiver. "I will only take the armor and see if anyone could maybe enhance my whip. As I'm much more proficient with that then anything else."

Had no idea it was a +4 armor equivalent. So will only be taking that and Wulfgar's old belt. As stated in discussion, with a masterwork transformation I'll be able to have my whip enchanted at some point.

As they are leaving the large room reentering the sacred shrine, Wulfgar approaches King Rory.

As they reenter the sacred shrine Wulfgar will kneel beside the body of Gwen to see if she is still alive.

If she is alive he will carry her body out of the shrine, when they get outside of the shrine he ask the king, or one of his retainers

”Wherrrre will we be restink, and wherrrre is merrrrchant who is havink interest in purrrrchasink items we have been acquirink?”

Sometime before Wulfgar goes to bed he will return to the surface to check on the horses.

When Wulfgar meets the merchant he will sell him whatever items the party doesn’t want to keep. Wulfgar would like to buy a wagon for the horses to pull is there anything else we should buy, or do you want me to split the money up?

When Wulfgar checks the body of the sorceress, she is indeed deceased.

We are dwarves lad, OF COURSE we can craft anything ur could possibly need!, he says with a hearty laugh.

Judge, jury and executioner, what a terrible way to die, not even a weapon in hand, Gorum grant I do not go like that

realizing the sorceress was dead, Wulfgar leaves the body. As they return to where they left their gear, Wulfgar removes the new armor and sorts out the other items they will trade. Putting on his old armor temporarily he will wear it when he goes and checks on the horses he asks

"Shall we be goink to see smith and wizard? I would likink to tell them what workink to do and be showink them what goods we are havink to trade"

after working out the specifics to add spikes to the armor and a + 1 magical enhancement he continues on his shopping spree.

"Wherrrre would I be findink a wheelwrrrright for to make a wagon?"

Hell boy, if all you be needing is a wagon, I got one around ye can have for free lad, King Rory belts out with a laugh.

King Rory gives you each a firm handshake and wishes you all the best of luck in your attempt to save the world. The dwarves disassemble then reassemble the wagon topside.

You travel south by southeast, not sure where to go, but hoping something shows you the way. An hour into your travels, you notice a figure about 200 feet away. At 100 feet away you see it is a brute of a man. He is 6'4", blonde hair down to his shoulders. He wears pitch black scale mail, blood red spikes cover it. He wields a dire flail. He isn't alone, flanking him are two cyclonic beings, each hovering 10 feet off the ground.

I don’t like the way this looks at all, well that one’s not a dwarf, everyone else has been dead or an enemy, I think we will wait here

Wulfgar stops the wagon, waiting for one of the more gifted speakers to talk to the man. As he waits, just in case he reaches back and touching Nils says a quick prayer

After discreetly casting ‘bull’s strength’ on Nils he will climb out of the wagon and prepare to cast enlarge person on himself

can you trip a flying enemy?!

At work so can't really find any references for or against, but technically if they're flying they need to make fly checks every time they take damage + if they do drop down and try to lift off I definitely should be able to trip. But as I said I'm fine either way. If they're gone they're gone :) Would like someone to find the rules on that for personal reference in other pathfinder games :)

as stated though, flying creatures do need to make fly checks when being attacked while flying, but seeing as it is a DC 10 with no modifiers for taking damage (which I personally find a bit weird) they should not fail that check. And if they would fail the check it would only make them loose 10 ft of altitude. Flying rules be weird :) Glad we got this all sorted out.
