The genie takes a viscous slash, and luckily his spell absorbs a portion of the force from Nils' blade. He retaliated with two slashes of his own, one at Nils and the other at Balthe. Both connect at their intended targets, leaving large open wounds in each of their torsos.

Balthe, almost grabs the genie but the genie slips his grasp at the last moment. The genie, laughs at everyone, then takes two swings. One at Balthe and the other at Nils. The swing connects with Nils' arm, a wound open and bleeding. He then tries to swing at Balthe, but the monk ducks the blade flying at his neck.

Nils, enraged at the fact he is the genie's personal whipping boy, retaliated with hard slashes of his own. Afterwards, Balthe FINALLY grabs ahold and manages to keep hold. The genie, than lowers his arms, and in a gruff voice,

You fight well, as a team. I have been bested today, and as such will hold my end of the bargain. You must release me however so I can obtain your relic.

The genie takes a few steps back from those before him and winks out of existence. A few moments later he returns, with the green sphere in hand. He hands the sphere over to whomever wants it. He looks to everyone and wishes you the best of luck and once again winks out of existence.

I didn't get to hit him even once! Wulfgar, a little sad that he is enlarged with nothing to his, sighs and tells everyone, "Be gatherrrrink around comrrrrades," Wulfgars right eye becomes clear and then taking on the appearance of a sword in a mountain, he casts positive energy.

Teclis & Klang:

Both of you are of the arcane, so you both wanted to explore the outer realms, elemental planes and everything in between. You were both out, exploring ruins when you each encountered a genie. Teclis, you met an earth genie, while Klang met a water genie. After much convincing and prodding, each genie plane shifted you to their respective "homes", where you got to experience the sights and sounds of their native area. Teclis, you found a perfectly smooth green sphere while digging around a fissure. You unfortunately had to give it to the genie as payment to return.

Each genie, then dumped you off in a cave, back on the material plane. Klang was dumped in an underground waterfall and Teclis was dumped in natural cavern. After some wandering, you met each other and decided that traveling in a group was better for survival, since you both are aware that you are squishy casters.

You traveled for a week or so and ran into a group of supposed adventurers. You tried to be nice, but they were having none of it. You fought them off, but their numbers were too great, 5 on 2 was never really a fair fight. You retreated and by sheer luck ran to a dwarven clan who aided you in repelling their attack.

After the dwarves prodded you for information, they told you of another group and described them to you and how they had similar issues. After casting a quick spell, they tell you which way they went. You two arrive just as the genie poofs out, you see a group of three people discussing their next course of action.

Taking 10 on spellcraft gives him 37..


You currently have the green and yellow stones. The blue one is embedded in the stone door. The red one is to be found still. I have tweaked "locate object". Essentially cast it would nice per day and I will either say yes or no.

Teclis, looks at the stones, and calls forth divinity to ascertain what the stones purpose is, or at least to better understand them. You can tell they are highly magical, they almost cause you to seize up from their magical nature, the aura is very strong. The auras you sense are abjuration and conjuration.

You cast a spell of location Teclis, but your search comes up empty, not even a blip.

Would you like to travel W-SW to go towards the ocean or S, SE to go towards the central area?

Everyone prepares for the trek ahead. Wulfgar mans the wagon and you set forth away from the water, towards what you presume is the central part of the island. Midday comes and goes, the heat of the sun cut with a breeze to make the trek at least bearable. The sun sets and you set up camp. The night comes and goes without incident. The next morning, Teclis casts his divination again, and the same result...nothing.

Continuing on the same course. Your group spots something big overhead. It circles multiple times, but you can only make out a silhouette as the sun obscures getting any details about it. Midday approaches, and the object is still there, circling overhead.

Teclis recognizes the creature to be a Cynosphinx, an evil creature who craves lore and knowledge. It is immune to disease and is known to have a disease ridden bite and can pounce on its enemies with its powerful body.

Balthe, slings a bullet at the Sphinx and manages to hit it even though it is quite far away. Nils readies to attack the creature, Teclis relays info while preparing a better defense. Wulfgar begins casting a spell that takes a while to complete.

The Sphinx moves closer but doesn't charge in to attack.
