I am looking to try something different than the usual game. I want to see if an Old School game will work in PbP so I want to run a short introductory S&W adventure for 4 players (maybe 5).
I plan on using first level pregen characters for the 4 basic classes (Fighter, Cleric, Magic User, and Thief) plus an NPC hireling to tag along as a guide and also some extra muscle. If this goes well then I would start an actual campaign where you can roll up your own characters.
If you are interested then I STRONGLY encourage you to download and read this Quick Primer for Old School Gaming as the style of this game will be far different than the usual style. Also the rules for Swords and Wizardry are available for FREE as well.
As of right now, this is ONLY an interest check...If I get sufficient interest then I can change this to an Official Recruitment thread.
Thanks for checking this out!

Im interested sent me a PM if we're starting how are you doing abilities? Can we use White box heroes?
Testing die roller :) Con? Of 5 lol no thanks :)
*Skims through the White Box rules* Okay it looks like you want to play one of the character races as a class (Dwarf, Elf, Halfling). While I had not intended to use those classes as they are not in the Core rules, I am certainly open to the idea :)
As for the CON of 5 while that is a bad result you can work it into your PCs background very easily. Maybe he was struck with a disease when he was very young that left his body wasted away? So many ways you can take this he he.
FYI I wanted to use Pregens at least for the intro module, to see if this can work in a PbP environment, but if you are dead set on creating your own PCs I am OK with that!
PS: Just need one more player :)

Let see what the dice gods have in store:
Str: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 3) = 5
Int: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 1) = 10
Wis: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 1) = 11
Dex: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 2) = 9
Con: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 6) = 10
Cha: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 6) = 13
Hmm, a charming lad or lass, weak, and not really good at anything...
