Thalas positions himself and calls on divine healing. The burst of healing falls just short of the huge creature.
Wil and Azlain recover 3d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 6) = 11
The creature delivers a bite to the prone paladin. It misses. The second hits high on the thigh and bright red blood flows.
bite hit/damage: 1d20 + 11 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 11 + 4 = 212d8 + 7 ⇒ (7, 2) + 7 = 16
bite hit/damage: 1d20 + 11 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 11 + 4 = 342d8 + 7 ⇒ (8, 1) + 7 = 16
bite confirm/damage: 1d20 + 11 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 11 + 4 = 262d8 + 7 ⇒ (3, 1) + 7 = 11
The creature turns to Azlain with claws.
claw hit/damage: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 292d8 + 5 ⇒ (1, 5) + 5 = 11
claw hit/damage: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 262d8 + 5 ⇒ (3, 6) + 5 = 14
The creature cannot handle much more, and Wil feels the magic of Lady Ciedrel flow through his necklace and into his body before his life can depart. He is restored to full health and feels a divine tug pull him to his feet.
Before the divine presence departs, Wil reaches out desperately, always concerned for others, especially the fallen druid.
Eirel is touched by a divine hand, but not enough to restore him.
Eirel is disabled at 0 hp

Suny |

Suny, seeing the plight that Eirel is in (And hopefully just out of reach of the monster with her current task) Also reaches out and touches the other prone victim.
Cure Light Wounds:1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Thence continues to drag Wil so that she can do the same for him next round.

Wilaml Fmelvam |

Wil digs his boots in and tugs against Suny, resisting being dragged away. "Save Eirel." Is all he says as he sits up hand in hand with Suny.
2x move action stand from prone, move to block the land sharks advance or stand in its way so it cant reach the druid. if he stills his mustard sword u will draw it if not i will draw my longsword. unable to access Google sorry :(

Seltyn Sevenleaf |

Seltyn had hoped for divine help, but he hadn't imagined what he was seeing. Labelas Enoreth had interceded, and saved the victims of his mistake. It was not their time to die.
kn. religion: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
spellcraft: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29
Unlike all the other wizards who had come here to battle these things, the elf was beginning to understand how these creatures ate magic. There was only one question left that he could answer with magic, now.
force missile: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
SLA, and pure force. Damage or healing? A gamble worth taking.

Chainmail |

Seltyn's force bolt leaves a clean hole through the behemoth's armor.
He drips more ichor. He cannot take much more punishment.
Finish him off, he is in single digits!!
Thalas runs to Eirel to heal.
cure: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (8, 7) + 5 = 20
A large amount of healing infuses the druid.
The cleric smiles: "I think it is done for, let Wil and Azlain finish it off. ONE MORE BLOW!"
As SLAs cannot be dispelled, I would think they cannot be absorbed or reflected.

Wilaml Fmelvam |

Will backed up Azlain, pressing the small advantage they had gained. He didn't have time to recall what happened or why he had the use of both his eyes now. Not until this fight was done. If Azlains blow didn't finish it off then Wil moves in and attempts to bring down the beast.
attack Landshark w/long sword: 1d20 + 6 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 6 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 20
damage?: 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 + 1 = 10

Eirel Tatenaias |

Eirel stands. Vaulting onto that things back had been less successful than he had hoped for, and wasn't something he was going to try again.
I need a bow he mutters to himself. In frustration, he looks around, wondering what tools in the environment they might use to kill this thing.
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18

Chainmail |

Wil and Eirel are unable to move past the defenses of the lightning fast behemoth. Wil missing my a hair's breadth. The landshark makes a desperate, hungry leap to attack those at the back that are harming it and using magic.
Acrobatics jump vs CMD: 1d20 + 17 - 5 ⇒ (10) + 17 - 5 = 22
If anyone has a CMD of 22+ and a melee weapon they get an AoO.
The landshark lunges at Seltyn and hits with three razor sharp claws dropping him to the ground. Thalas receives a bite and a claw, but they are deflected by his armor.
1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 171d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 161d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 241d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17
Seltyn damagex3: 6d8 + 15 ⇒ (1, 1, 4, 4, 7, 5) + 15 = 37
Bite at Thalas: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
Party up -- note the reach of the creature may grant an AoO if you close to 5 ft

Wilaml Fmelvam |

Just follow Azlain and aid anotherbhis active, he'll soak up the aoo and yuan save him from possible damage. Then send who in and lets flank the he'll out of this thing!

Chainmail |

Azlain reacts quickly and cuts the creature down as it leaps.
It lands unmoving in two ichor stained pieces.
The mine is silent as Thalas channels.
healingx2: 6d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 2, 2, 4, 2) = 17
A careful research reveals no other landsharks, but a lair has gems and minerals collected worth thousands of go according to Seltyn.

Wilaml Fmelvam |

Wil smiled despite his recent brush with death and his resurrection with help from the divine. He was both glad and saddened the beast was dead But now there allies could rest easy and the elves had secured a stronger bond. Looking at the gem filled lair Wil gave a laugh. "Perhaps we should collect some hazard pay!" He said this as he pulled off his now unneeded eyepatch, with his resurrection his destroyed eye had been restored.
"Thanks be to the All-Father that it wasn't any worse... So lets collect these gems and be off to see our allies again. Azlain, do you mind carrying the head. A grisly trophy to proe our success. Also Seltyn do you think skinning this creature could make for some decent magic resistant armor?"

Wilaml Fmelvam |

Wil nods, satisfied with Azlain's brutal work, the head would prove the deed was done. He gestured to Eriel and his gorilla... Who was it? "You two secure the gems and clear out its lair. As much as I believe in strengthening bonds I also believe this was far harder than a measly gold reward. Besides they can restart the mine. These gems will be coppers in comparison. Now how do we go about skinning this thing..." He collects Oneshot from Seltyn, unless their leader decided to hold onto it instead.
If no one is very forth coming with an idea, as Wil himself would totally butcher the hide he will instead head topside with Azlain and show their allies the deed was done whilst their companions secured the rest of the goods.
When he emerged he actively ignored the pointed looks at the fact he no longer wore an eye patch, instead he smoothed out their fears and presented them the hero of the undermine. "Azlain the slayer of the underbeast is in need of some healing and perhaps some food if you don't mind. Please forgive the grisly trophy but we feared the creature would rise again if left alone. We have searched the mine thoroughly and found no other creatures, for now I believe it is safe to say your mine is clear once more!"

Azlain |

Azlain was rather shocked at the praise Wil was heaping on him, but beneath his polished helm his expression was unreadable.
He set the head next to the mine entrance and looked down at himself. He had felt the pain of his wounds, but he'd become so used to dealing with constant pain during the time before his resurrection that he always felt a little odd when he wasn't bleeding. Now, with his gleaming armor completely spattered with gore, it was clear that he was still the same person he'd always been.
Some things never change. he thought with bitter amusement.

Chainmail |

Azlain plunges his sword again into the beast, and the elves scoop up precious gems and return with the head.
Many of the Elotheans cheer when they see the head. The leader who keeps his decorum and manages a smile: "Well done."
He turns to the others with him. "Send the miners down. Have them bring what remains up."
Outside a campfire has been prepared and what appears to be an unusual creature is being roasted on a turning spit.

Wilaml Fmelvam |

Wil smiles and nods. "It was a brutal battle that is for sure, I can understand why your people were at a disadvantage. It cut us down with brutal efficiency but through the grace of the divine and powerful arms we managed a victory. I have a question though. Is it possible its hide would retain the creatures strange... Resistance to magic? Could it be turned into armor or something useful in that regard? Or was it's properties lost with its demise?" He gives a chuckle at his exhaustive amount of questions.
If you need a diplo check let me know~
"Apologies, I am just curious is all. Also was there more of them elsewhere to be dealt with as well?" As he waited for a response he enjoyed a small bite to eat hoping to sate the burning hunger in his guts. He pointedly ignored the nagging feeling of what was to come next and which member of the Divine had aided them.

Eirel Tatenaias |

The food was tasty enough, but the visions of that creature jumping upon Eirel, and his utter powerlessness to avoid it are haunting him even as he eats what he suspects is part of the creature.
The money was immaterial, but it worried him that they had gone in so unprepared. And then it made him angry. That the miners hadn't been able to help them more through information, and that he had left his guard down even when he knew he was going into danger.
I will become the centre of the raging storm, and the calmness of the flowing stream through the forest. None shall stand before me alive if I do not wish them to

Suny |

Suny helps out as best she can, whether in helping people settle in for the meal by the amp fire to helping others over come the turmoil of their emotions after the encounter with the...beast...
She looks at her weapon of choice and wonders about getting something more 'cart mounted'....

Chainmail |

The frail humans toast you and the elder explains:
"We use the outer shell to make shields. They are prized on the mainland for their durability and resistance to magic."
The elder adds: "I can pay you in gold or give you one of our more potent conjuration wands. You have made the mine viable again."

Wilaml Fmelvam |

Wil smiles allowing Seltyn to decide on how they would proceed. "I am curious how much such a shield would go for on the mainland? I had hoped to find a way to pay for some to be made for our group."
Diplomacy - Make request / Offer for us to pay for said request if it isn't too expensive lol ;) 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

Wilaml Fmelvam |

Seeing how Seltyn had decided Wil merely waited for the response of their new allies.
Btw How much did we obtain from the lair? Or did we give it back to the Elothians?

Chainmail |

"Well obviously we typically make them into bucklers and the occasional light shield so we can get more out of the scales. Bucklers use the least amount of material. We could let you have one instead of the wand of enhanced conjuration or the massive gold."
They have a weight budget to get under. 2000gp in gems in the lair.

Wilaml Fmelvam |

Wil looked shocked. Why were the dwarves fighting the wood elves? He'd heard of no such fighting going on...
"Well that is most disturbing news as we are allies of the Wood Elves... Do you know why they would be fighting so?"
