Ammilanir flared to life as the elven druid fell to the floor, bleeding from terrible wounds inflicted by the strange land shark that was before him. Wil's righteous wrath was fueled by the prayers, songs of inspiring courage and the unfurled eleven banner behind him. He hoped to resolve this terrible fight as quickly as possible. Despite his raging emotions he came at the creature in a defenisve fighting posture, hopeing to outlast it...

Seltyn watches to see what happens when Thalas casts his divine magic. Maybe they only "eat" arcane?

Wil notices that smiting the creature does not seem to have an effect.

One shot misses the creature high and wide.

Thalas easily produces the prayer through a powerful feat of magic.

Suny begins an inspiring song.

Wil swings the sword at the creature and hits. He feels a magic tug at the sword as it pierces the creatures armored carapace. Spell resistance for Will at +5 with the sword

Wil cuts into the landshark, but his sword ceases to glow and flame. Wil does deliver a shot to the creature who prepares to retaliate. The large ape reaches the downed druid and drags him out of danger, avoiding a nasty riposte from the landshark.

The creature turns its attention to Wil and delivers a bite and lunges with two razor-sharp claws.

So he held his position until the Druid was dragged to safety, with shield raised high he prayed he could hold out...

Azlain charges and his sword hits the creature. Unfortunately for him, he has already 'silenced' Wil's sword, so the blade continues to sing with the enchantment. The sword bites into the armored creature.

Wil had dug in hard, his defensive stance had helped him to narrowly avoid being butchered by this creature and his allies continued assault proved slightly effective. He focused on the All-Father's righteous strength and the many terrible wounds he had received started to heal up. Torn flesh knitted back together into angry looking scars. He was healed for the most part and his only hope was that he could out last this creature... Just a little longer.

He continued fighting defensively, harassing the creature so that Azlain could get into a better position and strike it down.

When the landshark began to glow Wil leveled his blade before his face. His defensive stance was unbroken but he silently sent a prayer to the All-Father. Let it end with me.

Suny gets an arrow through the massive plates, Azlain sinks his curved sword deep into the creature, but misses with his follow up strike, and Wil has damaged the creature with his normal looking sword too. The three wounds, the worst of which is Azlain's that drips a green ichor, have damaged but not slowed the large, armored hulk.

Given the confusion with Wil's hit points, I was going to wait and see what his total was. The 'magic eater' is the only one hasted. He hit AC 25 twice with two claws while attacking Wil. Wil was able to LoH as he was attacked. What is his current total?

Posted in main thread, but Seltyn receives a dispatch via feather token.

There has been little contact between dwarves and elves, as the dwindling of their numbers and the growth of human numbers has separated them. There has been little opportunity for their interests to coincide or conflict. That is until........

The battle was known as the Battle of Ironwood Forest. A force of well-equipped dwarves led an armed expedition into the Ironwood Forest. Their objectives were never disclosed, but their supplies included siege equipment and extensive mining equipment.

The first day the expedition began to rapidly log trees in the Ironwood Forest to build a bridge across the Brown river. Two ents were roused and driven deeper into the forest and a dryad killed after many trees were removed.

Day two the counterattack of woodland creatures, three druids, and five ents was brutally repulsed by the dwarven forces.

Day three, however, the dwarves suffered a brutal setback as a band of wood elves, dryads, and druids flanked the dwarves as a force of ents easily forded the river and pinned the holding force. A massive golem killed the majority of ents and dryads attacking, but the wood elf mercenary band with a few dryad and druid auxiliaries fell upon the dwarven right flank and threatened to fall upon the supply wagons.

During the waning daylight hours, a dwarven holding force fought toe to toe and was quickly surrounded on three sides. Nevertheless, Chief Alspane and Thumper, the dwarven leaders, exacted a tremendous toll on the defenders.

The climactic battle between Chief Alspane and the Wood Elf warchief with his curved sword ended with the wood elf leader dying and Chief Alspane mortally wounded. Chief Alspane managed to slay four more elven spearmen before falling.

The wood elves have followed the dwarves back to their hold in human lands and laid siege. It appears the local human forces are content to let events play out, and have not moved a single soldier to help or hinder either side.

Power Attack, Inspired, banner, prayer: 1d20 + 10 - 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 10 - 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 24
damage: 1d10 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25

I'm moving to deliberately provoke an AoO. I'm gambling that this thing doesn't have combat reflexes. That should mean that someone else can delay to my turn, then move in, grab Wil and drag him back.

Mobility makes my AC vs. AoO 30

Spoiler:
HP: 08/22, AC: 17(Max 21(T13,FF14), DR: 1(Water Based Critters), F:+4, R:+7, W:+2, Perc: +6, Init: +3.

With all the people down, that doesn't leave many folks about to do the dragging.

Suny nods and scampers in to try and drag the wounded back a ways. She continues to keep her voice raised to bolster her allies.

Azlain sinks his sword into the creature. It is dripping ichor from multiple wounds and in desperate shape. Azlain draws a bite to allow Suny to drag Wil away.
bite: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22

The bite misses wildly.
