I'm going to toss out a vote for option 3. From what I've seen it makes things run the most smoothly. Option two looks to need a lot of contingencies. "I zap {x}, unless Bahram Killed that guy, then I do this."

Spells Prepared:
0-Level (3/at will) Create Water, Detect Magic, Light 1-Level (2/day) Speak with Animals, Obscuring Mist
Rauve:
AC: 16/9/16 HP: 9/11 SAVES: 5/-1/6 INIT: -1 PER: +8 DV: 60ft
Farra:
AC: 16/12/13 HP: 13/13 SAVES: 5/6/0 INIT: +3 PER: +4 LLV, Scent

The current system works decently well with PbP becasue it makes teh game flow smoother. But as stated those who have invested in initiative may feel shorted. The two with high initiative are Snowball and Bahram (unless Saresha has +6 which I'm not sure how it got that high since I didn't see any feats or abilities) will get slightly shorted in the long run. And I will be well benefited since I have the lowest initiative.

Since we do have a map we can draw arrows where we plan to go and what we do on our initiative if we decide to go with rolling.
For example: you can see the arrows on the map that I made. This is where I plan on going when it is my turn. If somebody else goes there then I would be in the next spot I chose.
You can't really ready too far in advance but that could make it work easier. And as stated it shouldn't be too hard for the GM to modify our readied actions slightly.

With 95% certainty, I can say that Snowball and Bahram will go before me roughly 74-76% of the time in combat. Therefore I would suggest that we roll initiative since that is a large enough gap from the standard 50%.

It is not that I'm trying to avoid rolling initiative just that I dislike the have to wait for my turn that happens in Pbp. Well either way It is up to you guys but it has to be either option 1 or 2. Option 3 unbalances the game.

Can I ask what about option 3 unbalances the game? It's almost identical to what you have us doing now, just with the PC groups predefined.

Edit to Add: I'm am voting very strongly against option 2.

Sorry actually it doesn't, only if I make the nemy and Pc blocks be only one for each turn. As Beinir suggested.

Some more statistical stuff on initiative in case you are interested because I was having a little too much fun. Haha

These are based on the difference between the initiative scores, assuming the lower one to be 0.
The percentages are plus or minus 2.5% with a 95% confidence interval.

If your initiative is __ then you'll go first __%
+1 - 59%
+2 - 62.5%
+3 - 66.4%
+4 - 69%
+5 - 74.3%

Well One vote for 3

I really don't care, as long as there are no major hangups with the system, and it seems as though blocks are the best way to go to run things smoothly, since it allows for a couple posters to make moves without having to wait for the one right before them.

So I guess my vote goes to 3 as well. And we can always change it if there are issues or another idea.

Option 3. Should be only a minor tweak to what you're already doing to just put us into the blocks. That way we can tell who is where and the folks investing in initiative get to take advantage of it.

I'm still here and would definitely pick things up again if Rafael wants to continue.

I'm here, but it looks like Raf has wandered off. :(
