Arduino. |
Arduino grins as the creature falls to the floor and Reccy curls up, carefully grooming herself and licking the blood from her feathers. Scratching under her neck, he pets her. "Good girl!" She squawks loudly at him. "Yes yes I COULD have been more helpful but I did the best I-" *SQUAWK* "Oh, same to you!" Shrugging, he continues stroking, and calls out to Lore "Any chance I could get another blast of that wonderful golden magic over here? Reccy could use just a little more fixing up..."
Lorelendral Teklet |
Lore does another channel - again excluding the cricket creatures so as not to bring either of them back to life with an inadvertent heal. Everyone else is cured for:
channel heal: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Ellis Hollis |
Sorry, I posted twice since Friday but neither showed up.
Here is character sheet for goat Billy the Wonder Goat]Billys AC was 14, if the attack killed it let me know.
Ellis looks over the cricket creature trying to determine what it is.
Nature1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
DrGabe |
No worries Ellis. The goat was hit twice in that battle, Damage: 1d4 + 2 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 2 + 5 = 11 and owes me a DC12 Fort Save.
Ellis has heard of such a creature, a fungal crawler. Their bite contains a powerful poison.
The goblin looks at Grim nervously, If I tell you whats I know, you let me leave here? Deal?
Brother Grimdoc |
Grim is not the type to make real with goblins lightly, but as information seems to be needed, he looks to his comrades to approve of any deal, or just put the gobbie out of its misery.
"Well, lads...oh and Lore, think we can trust this bugger to know anythin' useful? "
Ruprecht Antillious |
"We had decent luck with Eekie, so maybe our luck will hold another go round, trusting a goblin..."
Lorelendral Teklet |
Lore nods to Grim, in agreement with Ruprecht. sorry for posting so late, I was out for the evening... also - is more healing needed anyone?
DrGabe |
Me name is Spitter. It is best not to ask why longshanks. Through that door is my boss, Murgmo. She is a priestess of Zog. We don't go much anywhere else here. I know the way in and out. That is all. Promise
The goblin points to the door leading to the North West, directly opposite from where you came.
Lorelendral Teklet |
"A map would be good, Grim, if we can't convince him to help us more than that... " Lore turns from Grim to Spitter and asks "Why can't you go back there? Have you done something to anger your boss?"
DrGabe |
Done something wrong? You shortshanks are just without brains. If I take you back to Murgmo, she knows I lead you there. That be lots of wrong things all at once. Shame to my whole clan. If you find her, you might die. You might kill her first. Either way, Spitter gets to live. Nothing wrong with that.
The goblin quickly starts to draw on the ground, using an arrow tip to draw a large hallway in a "L" shape that leads to another room, presumably where the priestess is located. He draws three, again presumably goblins in the room, and another goblin with large breast. He points to that one and says, Murgmo.
Ruprecht Antillious |
Ruprecht nods. "I can understand his position. I'm fine with letting him go."
Arduino. |
Arduino cracks his knuckles. "He's been useful. Now it's fight time." Reccy experimentally swipes her claws and stabs out with her beak before launching herself into the air, beating her great winds rapidly as she hovers. Together, they turn towards the door in sync. "Let's go."
How big is the door?
DrGabe |
The door is stone and of normal human size (like the other doors you have seen thus far). Examining the door doesn't reveal any traps or locks. Looking back, Bitter is gathering his meager possessions and quickly leaves the room. He doesn't even bother to look back and say goodbye.
As the door creaks open it appears to be a "L" shaped room, just at the goblin drew. It also appears to have a purplish mist rising from the ground.
Lorelendral Teklet |
"Not sure where this Murgmo might be, but this purple smoke doesn't seem natural." Lore adds, not being much help, just pointing out the obvious. "Perhaps she is around the next corner?"
Ruprecht Antillious |
Ruprecht leads the others on, trying to hold his breath while going through the purple mist.
DrGabe |
As you move into the room, you see that this large, L-shaped chamber is filled with knee-deep, pale purple mist. Beneath the mist is a floor of small, glossy black blocks, noticeably different from the flagstone elsewhere in the dungeon. Stone archways exit to the north and the west (where you came from).
After taking a few steps into the room, you all suddenly see a nightmarish vision in front of you. As you look upon the most horrible thing you can imagine, you are all unable to move or speak for a moment.
Will Save- DC 11. All take Cold Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 2) = 7, those who save take half damage. Those who fail also are shaken for one hour.
Lorelendral Teklet |
will save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20 (+2 vs fear affects, like shaken)
Lore tries to shake off the feeling of dread and the vision and manages to do so...
She whispers to Grim, "I think it's Murgmo"
Arduino. |
Reccy: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Arduino: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Arduino manages to shake off the vision, poking his head through it, but Reccy lets out a startled CAW as frost washes over her. Arduino turns to her in concern and quickly becomes rubbing the coldness out of her feathers, stroking under her beak to calm her. "There there girl it's fine it's fine that was just an illusion, not my father ordering me to do some actual heavy-lifting work......... wait, you saw something else? Huh..."
Tilting his head to Lore, Arduino calls out "Two drinks on me for another blast? I fear we could all use it..."
Ruprecht Antillious |
Will 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
"Burr, anyone else catch a chill back there? Freaky..."
Current HP 6/10
Lorelendral Teklet |
Lore nods to Arduino and does another channel, starting to worry a little as her channels are running low.
channel heal: 1d6 ⇒ 4
"My healing is running low... we might have to rest soon."
Ruprecht Antillious |
"Thanks Lore. Hopefully we find Mumbo, deal with it, and then we can take a break."
DrGabe |
Looking around, nobody sees any other obvious threats. The room makes a 90 degree turn and heads to the west (as previously described). You don't see or hear any goblins in this room. The strange purple fog persists though. It is eerie in here, the goat and bird are not very happy about the underground, unnatural, colored, fog.
DrGabe |
A few feet north the mysterious fog ends. The chamber turns into a small tunnel that continues to lead north. Thinking about, it looks about what Spitter drew on the ground. His map indicated that there is a room on the other side of this tunnel. That is where the goblin leader is located.
Ruprecht Antillious |
Knowing the boss was nearby, Ruprecht pulls an exlir from his belt, and chugs it. He continues walking ahead, looking for traps as he goes.
Perception 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
I drank my Shield Exilir. AC is now 19 for the time being.
DrGabe |
As you walk forward, the cavern turns into a proper dungeon room. As you get closer, you see thick square columns support the low ceiling of this natural cavern, but the walls remain uneven hewn stone and the floor is only partially paved. Rough tunnels and unfinished walls extend for some distance. Tattered furs, foul-looking bedrolls, sacks of food, and battered old crates and casks are scattered around in an improvised campsite.
As you get closer, you see four goblins who appear to be looking at something you can't see from your position.
Stealth check all, target to beat is Goblin Perception: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 16
Lorelendral Teklet |
stealth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
DrGabe |
Sneaking into the room you see three goblins that seem to be talking to a one larger goblin who seems to be in charge. She is wearing a chain shirt, unusual for a goblin to say the least.
MAP
Lore and Ruprecht you get a move action or a standard action (not both). Feel free to move from Adruino/Ellis' square if you wish.
Goblins: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

Ruprecht: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

Once the surprise round is over Ruprecht and Arduino to your thang!
Lorelendral Teklet |
Lore remains where she is for the time being and fires a crossbow bolt at the nearest goblin.
1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 3 - 4 = 6 (-4 for cover taken into account already)
dmg if hits: 1d6 ⇒ 6
gah... i get a good dmg roll and can't hit the broad side of a barn, sigh
Ruprecht Antillious |
Ruprecht will move behind the first column looking thing closest to the party.
Ruprecht Antillious |
Ruprecht tosses a bomb at the largest goblin, hoping a bit of acid will set it to rnning away.
Ranged Touch Attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
