A twenty-foot-tall statue of a man carrying a tome stands in a round niche at one end of this impressive chamber. The chest and head of the large statue have been badly damaged, and look like they melted and ran before congealing again, giving the statue a crude, blob-shaped face with eyes of red stone. A doorway leads to the southwest (where you are now), and another to the southeast.
The room is about 40' wide and 60' long.
The goblin isn't seen here.

Half-Goblin

Most of you see a couple of things hiding the shadows. One is the goblin that was running, he is armed with a bow and has it trained on you all. The other is a giant fanged cricket like monster with a head shaped like a mushroom cap is hiding in the shadow on the other side of the room. In addition you see two goblin corpses at the foot of the statue.

Grimdoc can see that the statue was originally an Azilanti statue until somewhat recently. It looks like some type of strong fire was used to deface the statue, partially melting it. It now more closely resembles Zog, a demon god that protects goblins.
