it's only 10'wide room x 20' long and a 15' cone didn't get both centipedes? bummer... oh well ...the rest of you - get that centipede! :)

![]() |

Is there a chance my splash damage might have hit one of them?

![]() |

Ellis uses his Evil eye hex on the remaining centipede. Reducing its AC by -2 for 7 rounds.
He then will take a 5' step to make sure he is not standing adjacent to the creature he just Hexed.
Ellis utters strange words and the centipede seems to become slightly lethargic and easy to hit.
He says, "If one of you more physical types would be so good as to kill that thing..."

![]() |

Lore, this is one of the issues with a tactical game and not being able to see the board you are playing. The room is two squares tall and four squares long, and you enter at the top "middle" of the room. The centipedes are on either side of the hotdog shaped room. As my brain sees this, you can only catch one 'pede. Does that make sense?
Ruprecht, make sure you tell me what kind of bomb you are using and if it uses splash. It does catch one of the monsters and does damage. The centipede is still alive though!
Ellis and his goat look towards and Centipede and cast a hex on it. However, the centipede only blinks and continues to move to attack the party.
No roll needed. One might assume it is immune to mind affects.

no problem , was hoping to get more than one, but one is good :) thanks for the explanation tho

The only bomb I can use with my archetype is the alakhest (acid bomb), DM. As far as I know, it gets splash damage, like a flaming bomb does.

The party opens the door quietly and moves down the hall becoming one with the stone work. Inside the large room they see six goblin guards, three on the main level, and three on the balcony above.
Eight statues of demonic creatures anchored to great square columns guard an octagonal open space in the center of this large hall. Various bits of scaffolding and debris are piled up next to the columns, which support a large gallery fifteen feet above the room’s floor. Open stone archways lead to the southeast and a large stone door stands at the south corner of the chamber.
Suddenly, the goat makes a loud noise alerting everyone in the hall to the presence of the party.
