Ruprecht rushes forward (to the square just to the left of the bridge), seeing the goblins. "Look alive, everyone. More targets!"
He quickly mixes a quick a reagent and throws it at the jester-goblin.

Re-reading I see what you are saying... I've always though it was an opposed check.
I was surprised when I realized that there was no Save or opposed check, totally seems like there should be.

Lore moves forward a few steps (to just ahead of Taldor and one step to the side so she doesn't block his path or los) and throws a firebolt (domain power) at the other goblin (not the jester-goblin)

Ruprecht's bomb smashes in the goblin jester causing huge burn marks on his robe and skin. The goblin next to him dodges away from the worst of the damamge, only to walk right into Lore's firebolt. The goblin nearly falls to the ground but does manage to stay on his feet. Suddenly the little goblin's eyes grow wide as he can hear Arduino's voice clear across the room. Its like it was standing right next to the little fella!
The jester goblin continues his singing which sounds horrible and then begins to dance a little jib. Everyone is -1 to Attack and Damage, and -1 against Fear and Charm The jester moves back behind the safety of the barrels to avoid the long range shoot out.
The goblin takes his horse chopper and tries to turn on his former master!
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
But the attack was half hearted. Seeing this, the Jester yells at the goblin underlying in harsh goblin tongue.

Going to have to make assumptions without an updated map..
If someone had been looking at the barbarian, they might have seen a twinkle in Kujo's eyes as he surveyed the tiny jump from one side to the other. Drawing his greatsword, Kujo gets a running start and easilly hurdles the gap just to the right of the wooden bridge. Kujo moves past the half dead goblin and heads straight for the jester. Standing in front of the fool, Kujo goes bizzerk and strikes the goblin
1. DC for 10' jump is 10. Kujo is +11 for Jumping: +5 ranks, +4 based on 40' movemenet, +2 MW boots. Since you can't fail skill checks on a 1, Kujo auto crosses.
2. The goblin will get an AOO on me as I pass, but even if he hits, he does not stop my movement
3. Versevosh is straight back and to the left, so Kujo can get their in one Move action and attack.
4. I will kick on Rage after I move, not before, so AC is normal for goblin AoO.
If any of this is incorrect, then I'll choose a different action, most likely stopping to kill the first goblin without Rage. Also, since Grim goes first, if he kills the goblin before I go, then there would be no AoO
Attack mods = +2 Bab +1 MW +6 STR +1 WF -1 Verse = +9
Damage = +9 STR - 1 Verse +8
Attack Versevosh with Rage (No PA): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Damage: 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (6, 2) + 8 = 16

Kujo flies across the river of sludge and buries his greatsword into the jester. The motley goblin slumps to the ground, bleeding and twitching.
Grim throws something towards the remaining wounded goblin, but it misses.

The elf decides not to waste another bomb, seeing that the warrior apparently had things well in hand, after watching his vault across the span, tearing into the goblin. "I trust you have the situation under control, Kujo," the elf laughed, still shaking his head.

Waiting for Arduino to post his turn before the goblin goes.
Lore's shot just misses the goblin, the bolt clanking off of the stone floor. Ruprech't arms a bomb, just in case.
Ruprecht, the goblin isn't going to surrender but is instead going to run. If you want, you may take your action now.
Ruprecht Antillious

Let me delay until after Kujo, Dam. No reason to waste a bomb, if he can cut it down for me.

The wee-little goblin quakes in his boots and takes a dive into the sludge. The last you see of the little blighter is his swimming through a grate and back into the sewers.
Gesh... rolling a 1... Combat over folks. Anything you want to do in this room? There is a door to the north...
Ruprecht Antillious

Ruprecht takes his time and walks over the makeshift bridge, joining Kijo on the other side. He makes sure the others join in as well as they all make it safely across.

Kujo finds the following on the jester: Combat Gear potion of resist energy (fire), wand of cure light wounds (24 charges); Other Gear leather armor, masterwork whip, short sword, shortbow with 20 arrows, brooch of shielding (with 40 points remaining), disguise kit, jester’s motley, pouch of broken glass shards, spell component pouch
The part is able to make their way across the bridge, clearing the caltrops as they pass.
Kujo, the Slayer
|
Kujo hands the wand to Lore and nods at some of his lingering injuries.
Potion probably suggests there might be some fire up ahead. Magic Missile protection from the brooch will be nice. Probably should be worn by the person most likely to be the target of an enemy spell caster

Lore grins, and nods, then touches Kujo with the new wand.

Kujo looks around at the party members. He hands the brooch and the potion to Arduino. Why? Who can say, perhaps it was the sorcerer Kujo felt was most vulnerable, or perhaps the caster was chosen randomly. Kujo readies his greatsword and takes his place in the marching order.
DrGabe

Arduino, you see the following Arcane spell components in the pouch: Cause Fear, Disguise Self, Hideous Laughter, Daze, Detect Magic, Flare, Mage Hand, Mending
You continue through the Goblin Guild's lair. The next series of rooms jut off from the hallway. They are kennels for the goblin's dogs. Refuse and spoiled meat litter the floor. Most of the cages are empty, but a one dog remains. He appears at first glance to be healthy.
Eekie swoons over the poor caged animal and makes you promise to release the hound once you are done with the rest of the guild.
The hall from the kennel leads into a large audience chamber. Two rows of pillars support the arched roof of this long hall. At one end stands a makeshift throne constructed from the broken remains of a smashed statue and other cracked blocks of masonry.
Standing in front of the throne is a large bugbear and two goblin body guards!
The Bugbear shouts, filling the hall with his thunderous voice, ENOUGH! That will be enough now. I am nothing but a reasonable guild leader. Let the bloodshed end.
Eekie pulls at the coat-tail of the PC closest to her, That... that is the big guy, Inoklar, she whispers with a bulging eyes and a gulp.
Ruprecht Antillious
|
"Yep, that's a big guy alright, Eekie," the elf gulped.
He stepped forward. "From what I can tell, your group was the start of all the bloodshed, having poor Eekie steal from us, and all."
I was hoping the "big guy" was a goblin...
Kujo, the Slayer

Kujo moves in front of Grim. His greatsword still in his hand. His nostrils flare and the phrase, "it's all fun and games until someone releases the dobermans" comes to mind and one takes note of the barbarian's name.
Lorelendral Teklet

"That doesn't sound like a good plan to me. How about YOU leave here, and WE'LL take care of Ekkie. This city isn't a good place for your new guild."

Lore scowls slightly, not completely trusting the creature, who has his own guards and won't parlay with anyone who also has guards. "We can talk just fine from here, I can hear you and you can hear me. What will convince you to pack up and leave this area and find a more conducive environment?"
DrGabe
|
I can't hear you from so far away, because you are so small little one. Besides, how do we negotiate the details yelling so savage like? Come close bite-sized one and we draw up proper agreement.
Kujo knows that any agreement made with this monster won't be honored.
Ruprecht Antillious
|
The elf puts his hand to his kit, knowing that any second violence will no doubt erupt. "Get ready to go hide, Ekkie," he warns the little goblin.
Kujo, the Slayer
|
Kujo holds out his arm to restrain the gnome and shakes his head in the negative. One wonders why the barbarian does not simply charged down and lop off the bugbear's head. Perhaps it is because he remembers the trap that confronted them earlier, or perhaps he just wants to get some practice in with his sling.
Kujo sheaths his greatsword and pulls out his sling.
Kujo will ready a sling attack on the the goblin to the left of the bugbear should they do anything offensive
Ruprecht Antillious
|
"I should be the one to go first, to make sure there is nothing that might impede our path," Ruprecht nods, as he sees the warrior prepare for any ranged combat that might break out.
As the elf walks toward the goblins, he checks the ground in front of him carefully, watching out for any possible traps.

In response to the barbarian's move, Inoklar tightens his grip on the javelin at his side. The two goblins next to him show that they have alchemist fire at easy access. They relax a bit as Ruprecht moves forward to parlay with them. Just in front of Inoklar and the goblins, Ruprecht sees that several of the tiles have been lifted up and replaced. Surely it is hiding something treacherous!
Two 5'x5' squares in front of the NPC's, are trapped according to Ruprecht.
Once Inoklar sees that Ruprecht knows of his trap, all hell breaks loose. The bugbear starts to twirl her javelin! The goblins reach for their fire bombs. The heroes react!

Arduino raises an eyebrow skeptically as he sizes up the bugbear.
