I thought that expression meant:
"Please tell your mother I said hello, and that I am potentially available for illicit get-togethers of an intimate sort, should she be so inclined."

An anachronistic corruption of the phrase "word to the mother", which was a popular reference to Africa or "The Motherland" during the late 1980s Afrocentric movement. While the replacement of "the" with "your" effectively obliterated the term's Afrocentric roots, it continued to be used in the same manner, that is, to express agreement. Alternatively, the "your" could take on sinister connotations, implying that speaker was sexually intimate with the listener's mother, as in "say hi to your mom for me", or, in keeping with the whack terminology, "props to your mom, she's da bomb". Finally, the phrase might mean nothing at all, and be used to ineptly feign street cred, in the style of Vanilla Ice.

Hey gang - looking forward to joining this unusual campaign! I've been a bit super-busy, with an invasion of family and work going nuts, so have not yet turned my attention to building my character for this game.
As discussed, I'll be putting together a ranger. I'm going to think some about archetypes and enemies - and donato has said he'll help with the latter - but any thoughts you have on appropriate wrinkles on the ranger to fit in and be useful in this game would be great. I'll take a look at the exotic race options, as it could be fun to play something totally different, so recommendations on that topic too would also be great. I hope to have a character done this week, once I ship off my kin and get some things off my to-do list.

I think Valai is easily one of the least sympathetic characters I've created -- while still being shy of outright unsympathetic. ^^; Does that sentence make sense? I'm a little tired.
