I had the stomach flu!
:(
Will have a post up later. Sorry about delays.
Sorry to hear it, hope you're feeling better...
Good enough to browse the internet! =P
Construct Invulnerable Barbarian
So did you just describe something it did not see? or something it did but it was only briefly and without enough time to analyze?
Very briefly. The imagery I describe is what you saw for just a second.
Pint-Sized Cleric 2
Everything alright, Mr. Donato?
Sure is. Busy day at work, but I found some time to make my post. :)
Have fun. =P

Pint-Sized Cleric 2
Remember, Thursday and Friday is when Donato is off, so less likely to post. And I'm going to be busy this weekend and then uh, busy, I guess (if skiing is busy) on Monday and Tuesday, so posting will be intermittent at best.
Pint-Sized Cleric 2
There's enough time for you guys to grab your suits if you like. Dealing with air crystals may not be your best option. ;P

We need to decide whether we do this or not. o_o If we go through that gate, we risk being stranded on Akiton without the Mechanic and his ship. We could still turn and run.
I say we go for it. At the risk of metagaming, I'd like to think Mr. Donato didn't set this up so he could trap us away from the ship and our friends there.
Plus, we're adventurers, right?
do I need air crystals by the way?
Nope. Sir Robot gets a free ride.
Pint-Sized Cleric 2
Oh, well then. I would say Celia would ruuuun back to the ship to get her helmet. She's still wearing the suit, just not the helmet.
Well, there's not enough time to run back. Keth, however, could fetch your things for you.
I guess I should have accommodated you a little more with being the new guys. Keth has no arms. He's a funny little sphere with a big eye and a lot of knowledge. He looks kind of like 343 Guilty Spark from the Halo series or Wheatley from Portal 2.
I imagined Zell trying to hand him a sword and it just plopping on the ground
Good to know about Keth. Now that you mention it, I recall something about his being a floating orb. But the Wheatley reference is perfect, now it'll stick.
Valai, do you have a whole slew of "verbal components" made up for your spells? If so, that's pretty neat.

Well, not for all of them. Just a few basics. ^^
A while back, I was in this truly awesome Ravenloft pbp, where the DM asked us to write the text of our spells in dead or foreign languages, so they'd feel more authentic IC.
One of many, many excellent calls on his part. Our main antagonist was a Cleric with a focus on Necromancy, and the DM translated all his spells into Russian. I have nothing against the Russian people, but their language made those spells very creepy-looking!
The fun thing about using Latin for my spells is that I'm still reasonably good with the language and that I have two dictionaries. If a new spell comes along, I can translate it with little trouble.
A few spells I used fairly often were:
Mage Armor: Lornica magi, me vela (Armor of the mage, envelop me)
Magic Missile: Sagitta(e) magica(e), omne errore vacua(e) (Magic arrow(s), bereft of all flaws)
Invisibility spells: E visu abscindo (I vanish from sight)
Silent image: Phantasma simpla (Simple delusion)
Fireball: Sphaera ignis expandens e manu meu evolat (An expanding ball of flame flies forth from my hand)
And so on, and so forth. ^^ If any of you guys want me to translate some spells for you, just drop me a pm. We're not the Order of the Stick, after all. :p
I thought it was cool, so I Googled your Mage Armor one and the top results were your other aliases. :P

It might be too late now, but may I update my prepared spells?
I would have taken Bless and Summon Monster for my level ones, methinks.
I was going to save this for just a little bit, but I guess I'll tell you now. Level up to 2. Max HP, prepare all your spells as if a full-rest. Also, give yourself a +1 enhancement bonus to AC as the nanites in your suits either improve the suit itself or meld your armor and suit together.
Enjoy!
Do all of us level up? I expect the answer is yes, for simplicity's sake, but just want to confirm before Zell gets even awesomer.
Edit: Should Zell go with 2H fighting or archery combat style? Totally specialize in that melee badness, or go the tried and true switch hitter? Leaning 2HF, as I've never done that with a ranger - but the feats are a bit meh. But Cleave and 3d6+7 damage could clear a room pretty quick, and Great Cleave would clear a battlefield pretty nicely.
Opinions? Advice? Guesses?
go 2hf then! =D we can flank with each other!

I will et on this. Thanks for the level up!

Level completed, as per alias profile.
@Celia - I just noticed we both did the same thing. Leveled up lots of stuff, forgot the change the description that appears with every post, saying what level we are.

Okay, I've finished levelling up. ^^ Put my favoured class' extra rank in Perception, seeing as Valai's been my least perceptive character so far.
I realized I forgot to use my favored class bonuses and had a trait unused, so put those into skills and also put the trait into getting survival as a class skill if that's all cool.
Just wanted to let everyone know that this weekend I will be leaving to go here for work. I will be gone 2-3 weeks, and my internet connection will be very spotty indeed, and I’ll be on a very different time zone as well.
I will post when I’m able, but if I’m holding things up, feel free to bot me as needed.
LK, due to nanites, science fiction-fantasy mumbo jumbo, blah blah, I'll just say the nanites mingle with your existing ones. You'll get the benfits of the suit without needing to actually wear one.
Female Elf Wizard 2 (Illusionist); Init +1; Low-light vision; Perception +5; AC 11 (+1 Dex); hp 15; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +3
Red alert! My network is being extra crappy, so I may not be able to get online - reliably - at home for the foreseeable future. o_o Please NPC me if needed…

Oh dear....! Oh, and it's my birthday today! WHOO~

@ Donato:
Yeah, I thought something like that. ^^;
Except what I thought rhymed with 'to hit'. *cough*
@ Celia: Happy birthday! I hope you have a great day. ^^
@ Celia
Feliz cumpleaños!
@Valai
Yup, but there's still so many questions!
Female Elf Wizard 2 (Illusionist); Init +1; Low-light vision; Perception +5; AC 11 (+1 Dex); hp 15; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +3
We can answer those after we've cold-cocked these guys and taken their weapons away from them. ;) How many people are there here, aside from us five?
Female Elf Wizard 2 (Illusionist); Init +1; Low-light vision; Perception +5; AC 11 (+1 Dex); hp 15; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +3
O... kay.
...
Seeing as I'm a bit shy of Dispel Magic- or Break Enchantment-level magic, our best bet might be to run like cowards and try to get in touch with the locals.
I haven't assigned my new language slot yet. Can I take Serpentfolk for it? ^^;
out of town for the weekend, probably will post by monday
Female Elf Wizard 2 (Illusionist); Init +1; Low-light vision; Perception +5; AC 11 (+1 Dex); hp 15; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +3
Advance warning: I will be going on holiday the 27th, and will remain away until the 5th. I should be able to get online during that time, but there are no guarantees.
The internet at home continues to be worse than spotty...
