The Deceiver |

"The die has been cast and your fate is sealed."1d20+3=22, 1d6+1=2
Confirm Crit is just a 7
The blade flicks and draws blood. Then the Deceiver notices flash behind him. We have been found out.

The Deceiver |

For Pharasma
3rd Round Attack (1d20+3=13, 1d6+1=6) After making the attack, the Deceiver moves back five feet. He calculates that the pirate would have to move off the table to initiate an attack.

Ryor Saar'Narlok |

The spell
deprived Ryor of his
Sight
And he stood up, and he looked around, and he said
I can't see
I can't see
Oh, woe is me
I can't see
Well.....you know
I can't see
Nothin
The magic
Has blinded me
And I can't see
Temporarily
1d20=9

Bohdan |

By sheer luck or by the grace of Iomedae, Bohdan's head is slightly turned upwards to watch the top of the ladder as the spell goes off.
Slightly dazed by the blinding light Bohdan prepares for the fighting to begin in earnest.
Will save (1d20 6=17) - In the next round I'll rush up the ladder, hoping to hit someone with the hatch as I slam it open (bull rush sorta move up the ladder - imagine keeping the upper body crouched down up the first couple of rungs and then exploding upwards, arms above the head, to slam into the hatch)... this can only go wrong! ;-)

Pharasma |

Nerius
The table is about 50 feet from you anyway, at the aft of the ship actually, but I'll move you toward the action.
The Deceiver
The pirate on the table at the back of the ship takes another stab at you with his saber. Attack & Damage: (1d20 5=25, 1d6 2=5) Confirm & Damage: (1d20 5=22, 2d6 2=12) The ship swells and you stagger toward the corsair: you feel something hot in your chest, and looking down realize you have been run straight through. 17 points of damage. (I'm glad we're using racial HP now).
Ryor and Jon
You hear someone jump down from the deck above, over the body of Sooj.
Bohdan
You are now face to face with a pirate you've never met. He locks eyes with you, sees you are not blind, and lunges at you with a snarl and a sawtooth saber. Attack & Damage: (1d20 4=20, 1d8 3=11). 11 points of damage.
Syd, you want to take the place of your blinded comrades?
End of round 1

Ryor Saar'Narlok |

Rounds blinded 2d8=6 made mistake of 2d4 fixed now 2d8
Ryor sets down crossbow and will pull out dagger

Bohdan |

Bohdan roars as the jagged edge blade rips across his chest. Seeing his own blood drip from the pirate's blade brings visions of the many sparring sessions with his old mentor Piotr and Bohdan is filled with both sorrow of the loss of the old man but also strength and gratitude for having been shown the way of Iomedae*.
With renewed vigor he once again swings the instrument of captivity towards one of the foul sailors.
* Hmm, was going to use Touch of Good, but it's a standard action and thus I can't attack at the same time. Lessens it's usefulness in combat quite a bit, unless you see it as a one on one pre-combat buff ability.
Attack:Dazzled chain attack (1d20-1=8, 1d8 3=8)

Pharasma |

The man fighting the Deceiver hears this. "Parlay?" he says, but does not put down his bloodied sword. He does not attack this round, neither of the two men do. Booligan looks around to survey the swath of death, stops and looks at the dagger in Sooj's ear for a few seconds, then casts an eye over each of you.
"Waits a minute, I'll tells Book."
He sheaths his sword nervously, turns his back, and goes up the ladder carefully, shutting the door above.

Pharasma |

Combat Ends
The storm continues unabated, it's been almost 16 hours since it began, and if it gets worse the ship will start tearing apart.
But still a silence passes over the hold as the prisoners look over the impressive carnage wrought by Ryor and The Deceiver.
What will you do while you wait? What do you want to do with the pirate still in the galley with The Deceiver?
Perhaps it is time to check out the healing benefits of channeling positive energy for a turning.

The Deceiver |

"I don't see why not. Parley is in the Code, isn't it? But no funny stuff."
The Deceiver moves out of the room to the larger hold. "This guy will be going to his comrades." The Deceiver tells the others.
Once there are no more pirates in the holds, the Deceiver closes his eyes and invokes the power of the divine.
Turning Heal, spending as much as four (4) attempts.

Pharasma |

A very terrified young man is led out of the galley by "Cordoba", The Deceiver. He climbs the ladder nervously and disappears.
The Deceiver walks among you and recites a prayer to Pharasma - you begin to hear the sound of whispers from the dead, though they do not stir, and from the corner of your eyes see strands of light like spider webs moving among you, yet they disappear when you look at them directly. Your wounds feel hot, pain returns but it is the pain of your flesh mending.
Bohdan, The Deceiver is still down low 4 HP I, believe. He took a pretty nasty thrust.

Syd |

"You lads looks like ya can 'andle yerselves," says Syd, "Smiley" he points at the Deceiver, "and the old boy there," pointing at Rackham, "look like they got a few tricks."
"'Ere, Smiley," he says to the Deceiver/Cordoba, "You look like an ornery cuss, jus' wot we need ta hassist me in 'avin' a lil chat wiv our dear cap'n. Seems a bit afraid of ya, 's good."

Smiles at Syd, "Yes, Handsome. I'd be willing to join you in this little palaver with Book. But you should know what kind of man we are dealing with. He likes young boys."
"Also, that fellow Righty is easy to hit if you attack him from the left."
"Anyways, I could use a change of clothes." The Deceiver starts to strip the bodies of the pirates. "You guys can have Mooj's clothes."

Jon Qiang |

...But the less killin', the better. Else we're no better 'an 'em. If we gets the hupper 'and, then we takes 'em prisoner and 'ands 'em over to the orforities." Syd replies sternly.
"Where I come from the authorities are the wealthy. Here the wealthy buy Book's slaves. So I will kill him. Yes, when I kill him I know another man will replace him. But there will be a week without either. That is good. You can take his head to the authorities, Mr. Syd."

Syd |

"It's do unto uvvers as you would have 'em do unto you, so we should show 'em how real men behave. We int monsters." Syd says seriously.
Although can't see much difference between some o' these fellers and the crew. They'd a done the same if they were Book's lads... Syd thinks.

Nerius Daergal |
"No, I could swear it's 'Do unto others as they do unto you'. Anyway, death is inevitable, especially when you live a life like Book and his crew. If we handed him over to authorities they'd just kill him anyway, or let him go. Either way, it's better we end him now tha later."
As if speaking to thin air he snaps "Oh, at least you got fed something other than gruel! Just do it."
I'm sending a mental alert to my familiar, asking him to watch the hatch and alert me if there's lots of activity around it (such as pirates swarming towards it).
