That picture of Gregory is sweet. I, sadly, am quite lacking in my drawing capabilities. If you are ever interested, I would love to have you draw a character of mine
As a side, has anyone read the pathfinder comics? I am a big comic guy and have been at my local shop every Wednesday for the past several years, but I have yet to read any of the pathfinder books. I saw the first trade paperback just came out... Is it worth picking up?
Thank, I could probably be persuaded to whip something up for you, provided the character is interesting visually (So no thanks if your character looks supa ordinary)
As for Pathfinder comics, I didnt even know they had em lol, so cant really comment on that.

Why would anyone play an RPG to make a normal looking person :p. Of course he is interesting.
Yeah. Mostly reading old books, in old places. Still very interesting. The sad part of our modern world is there remains few of such things undiscovered. If there is any outdoor research opportunities... it tends to be things like... going to Stonehenge or studying old religious buildings etc.

Plenty of interesting DnD characters actually look rather plain when you think about it. In my book, if you have a paladin in fullplate weilding a sword and sheild, unless hes something weird like a dragonborn or something, thats pretty plain...from a fantasy standpoint.
Dexter, I have been scouring the rule books and the internet to see if Ray of Frost actually can put out a square of fire... I am hesitant to say yes or no... on one hand, I cannot see ice putting out fire, but on the other hand, if the spell simply lowers the temperature in that square, I could see it possibly working...
Yeah... If I remember science correctly, I think it is possible for cold to put out a fire, but it has to be cold enough to liquefy the oxygen, thus not providing any oxygen for the fire to ignite (because we all know fire doesn't actually "burn" the object, but the vapors around it, right?)
Sorry, Dexter, I think your ray would be put to better use on the goblin? It was a great idea though!

Dousing a fire requires a large amount of water or other non-flammable material, such as dirt, to be deposited on the burning area. One effective strategy for extinguishing a fire quickly is to surround the burning area with nonflammable material. PCs doing this must make a ranged touch attack against an AC of 10 to deliver their payload to the intended square. The following indicates how many 5-foot squares of fire a number of the listed containers can extinguish with successful delivery.
Waterskin: Twenty waterskins full of water extinguish one square.
Bucket: Four buckets full of non-flammable material extinguish one square.
Gallon Container: Twelve gallon containers of nonflammable material extinguish one square.
Cauldron: One cauldron of non-flammable material extinguishes one square.
Portable Hole: A portable hole filled with non-flammable material extinguishes a 12-square-by-12-square area.
Bag of Holding: A bag of holding, type I filled with nonflammable material extinguishes a 3-square-by-3-square area, type II extinguishes a 5-square-by-5-square area, type III extinguishes a 7-square-by-7-square area, and type IV extinguishes a 10-square-by-10-square area.
Oh man! There is so much for character building I don't even know where to begin. There are A LOT new traits, and what I really like is there is a whole chapter for doing character backgrounds (there is literally a table of backgrounds for everything. Races, Classes, Regions, Faiths, Age, you name it), and how they tie into what traits you can take, etc. For example, a druid background is lost in the wild, where you got lost in the wilderness and became a druid to survive, and so you gain access to the Resilient combat trait.
For oracles, the backgrounds are really cool and tied to the mystery you choose, and it has cool explanations for how your oracle powers manifested.
There is also now character flaws, which is cool, and if you take a flaw you can choose an extra trait.
Also story feats... feats that you must meet character background specific prerequisites for, but they get better upon completing certain goals (for example, making 20 concentration checks to cast a healing spell after being damaged)

Hey, I'm considering picking up some more pathfinder books. Are there any books you guys you would recommend? I just have the core book right now. I can't buy them all, I don't have an unlimited budget.
Id probably go with Advanced Players Guide. Unless you know you like martial characters more than Spellcasters, the Ultimate Magic and Ultimate Combat books may be too specific for your tastes. APG is a generalist book.
Even 3 chances with just "Europe" as a clue is a pretty tall order : /
However since you take the time to write "i'll" instead of "ill", im gonna guess England. Yes yes I know people who arent from english speaking countries also do the "i'll" but its the best ive got ok.
Here a clue for my country, also Europe.
Has one of, if not THE longest coastlines compared to landmass.
