Dang you guys are plowing through the AP. I have a group that has been meeting regularly or almost 4 months and they are level 6, you are on track to surpass them

I'm going to blow off my previous idea. Would you allow me to play a CN goblin? I think it would be sweet to start the game with 22 Dex. And I'm a big fan of Paizo goblins.

Oh Dexter! You should totally play a goblin gunslinger! Wield a hackbutt that's too big for a goblin(there's a feat specifically for that), get Roll with it to avoid damage and have hilarious comedic effect, and pump dex really high. Makes for a perfect zany goblin if that's what you want. (Not trying to tell you what to do, it's just hilarious)

Also, it sounds like we have a synthesist and melee alchemist who can rip faces in melee, some sort of goblin class, and Ferdin wants to play a tinkerer.

So we could really use some sort of ranged/divine characte(or really any full caster who can heal a bit) to round this out, depending on what the extra person Jelly is adding wants to play..

Oh and Ferdinand, if you want a class and Jellyman is cool with it the artificer is an entire class designed about tinkering and creating crazy science devices! I know most DMs are sketchy about 3rd party stuff, but I have played a RL game for six months with a character who was this class and it was zany fun without being overpowered.

Also it screams STEAMPUNK mad science.

I am fine with the artificer :p I played an artificer in a 3rd edition game. they are sweet...


I know! They're so fun and have crazy good utility, without being too powerful at any one thing. Also, they actually get crafting feats for free, so no one else has to burn feats on them. They can also do healing really well. Though my favorite device my friend ever made was the "Growamatic 9000" it could make you bigger or stronger, depending on which level was jiggled and he kept getting them mixed up(it had bull's strength and enlarge person and he had a poor UMD at the time).

Yeah.. The last major dragon fight my party got into? We fought it in a 200 foot wide cave with a 30 foot deep pit spanning the middle. Talk about frustrating. Our DM loved to use terrain and built cover all around, and treasure piles in places, and stalactites to be crushed. Good times.

Also DM, if you get too frustrated, there are always spider swarms! :P

i have the book i can send them over.

s for rules they are rather simpler for combat since the game mechanic is just roll to hit + damage. There are no special maneuvers etc...

the only thing is that weapon have a speed factor that you have to conciser (and spells have each their own speed casting)

So if a caster tries to cast while in melee (there is no AOO in this game as is really a sub optional rule set) the only way you can interrupt is if you hit him during his incantation.

it make it a bit of a strategy on the caster's part. Do the enemy has a fast weapon or slow / does he wants to cast a fast spell or does he try for a longer casting time spell.

The formula is you regain your character level x your hit die / 2, rounded up

For example, a 1st level bard

1 x 1d8 ⇒ 3 / 2

So he would recover 2 hp (1.5)

Now that there has been more than one other suggestion to join games you guys are making, I feel I should probably reply to it instead of being silent on the matter. Im currently in 5 PbPs all of them updating fairly regularly. Im not sure what my "limit" is, but at this point I think ill reserve any futher PbPs for playing with other people. Thats not to say theres anything wrong with you guys, obviously I wouldnt be playing in two games with you if there was, but like I think ive said earlier, playing with lots of different people is half the attraction of PbP.

So from now on, assume my answer is "no ty" to any further group building with this group, unless I voice interest.

What is "average" in your mind? The average roll on any dice is always something and a half, like a 1d6 average is 3.5

Either way, with such a low HP dice its an easy choice for me :P
