Audia |

Audia approaches Beketra.
Greetings Beketra, my colleague tells me you are interested in pieces of art and items related to food. Have you seen this beautiful portrait. I also have a plethora of serving trays and chalices that work great for throwing the most lavish of parties.
diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26

Audia |

Audia approaches Khammayid.
Greetings Khammayid, I have heard you are seeking the tools of war. We have come across an armory of the highest quality forged weapons. These are the most impressive of weapons and they are worth a premium
dimplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17

![]() |

Dwalindor nods at Audia while speaking to Rameth.
"Boss, she was a good add to the team that one. She could sell ice to a polar bear...and can hold her liquor."

DMummy |

Beketra seems interested in two lots, grey and pink as a result of Audia's efforts, but Khammayid doesn't seem to be all that enthusiastic about the weapons. He might bid on them, but if he does he probably isn't interested in paying full price.
You do see Menya the Whip, who is unlikely to talk about empty pleasantries. But a long story about adventuring might interest him in the weapons you've managed to acquire.
A Knowledge (Dungeoneering) or Diplomacy roll would work equally well.

Calin Tinderfoot |

Calin sees Menya the Whip, knowing that he might be interested in the weapons he sits down with him.
"I'm going to get straight to the point. We've got some weapons that you might be interested in. I'd like to tell you the story of how they were aquired....
Calin begins to relate the tale of the party's adventure. He fills in the part from before he joined the company with what he's been told during Dwalindor's drunken musings. He embellishes only slightly to make the tale more dramatic without any outright lies.
"...and finally we were ambushed by Velriana of the Scorched Hand and her party. She was driven mad by the thought of obtaining the treasures in the catacombs, these treasures I might add, when she began slaughtering he own companions they turned on her and we were able to bring her down."
Knowledge Dungeoneering: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

DMummy |

Menya does seem interested, thinking he can use the weapons as a display in his shop.
While talking to someone overhears you speaking to the weaponsmith.
Did I overhear you speaking about the Scorched Hand? I heard some shady lowlifes ambushed the Scorched Hand while they were trying to leave the necropolis. They also say the Sunrise Fellows were betrayed by one of their own!

![]() |

Dwalindor furrows his brows trying to figure out if he was just called a lowlife and should go be zero or not....
"Rrrrrrf......Who's a lowlife? . "

Rameth the Delver |

Local: 1d20 + 8 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 8 + (1) = 15who are the sunrise fellows.?
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30 Sense Motive on the person who makes the comments...what is his/her deal.

DMummy |

The Sunrise Fellows were a group of adventurers who were working the lottery as well. The rumor is that one of their number betrayed the others during the lottery and they died in an ambush trying to exit the Necropolis.
The person talking about the Scorched Hand is another high roller, this one a half-elf who is looking closely at the documents for sale. He doesn't seem to be spreading any rumors, or have any specific malice against you.

Rameth the Delver |

I suspect they were ambushed. We were ambushed going in, but we handled them easily. The Scorched Hand were hired by forgot her name, but Rameth wouldn't to ambush us, they did and lost. The woman who hired them was killed, after she killed one of their own that we had subdued. We brought several of them out alive.
Rameth says ready to fight if he has to.

![]() |

Dwalindor catches the tone in Rameths voice and takes a step forward in support."That's right. We don't take no guff from lowlife thugs. And we didn't see no genies' lodges either...like one of those lamps you rub and make a wish on? Nope. "

DMummy |

Presuming there's no objection I'll advance to the first event. The lack of posting seems to indicate boredom. Audia, please make a few more diplomacy rolls for new buyers who come into the auction over time.
As the evening begins the bidding on some lots are fierce, others are less interesting. Just after the last bids on your lots, but about halfway through the auction, Albus feels a terrible jolt of arcane magic.
It doesn't seem to mean much to most at the auction but after only a few moments from Albus's start you begin to hear a terrible racket at the front door of the auction. Suddenly the door gives way and you hear two servants who were serving food cry out as they're crushed under the heavy doors.
You can see they're dying.
Over the doors come eight zombies, shambling towards the crowd which erupts in screams.
I didn't want to clutter the map with two dozen NPC tokens. To simulate the panic engendered you can treat the interior of the auction house as difficult terrain.
Initiative (Monster): 1d20 ⇒ 18

![]() |

Dwalindor spins around at the sight, grabbing his lucern hammer in both hands.
"LUCY! It is time to go to work." as he waits his turn to strike the undead mob.

Rameth the Delver |

ill assume rameth has a non combat load out

Rameth the Delver |

Audia save those two!
DM ignore the AC in parenthesis, that is wrong

"Angel Eyes" Albus |

Boy, you guys have being busy. Albus mumbles overhearing his comrades talk with the half elf.
He focus his attention back at the action when.
Did you guys felt that? Like a... Oh #%$&!
The magus hurriedly draws his blade while using his arcane powers to protect himself.
Draw weapon while moving 5ft to Calin's side, use arcane pool to enchant it and cast shield on himself. Current AC 19.

DMummy |

Man, the midnight posts. They get to me. Place Albus at R 10, sorry for the lack of updated map I'm already away from my home computer.
The zombies advance slowly towards you and begin their attack.

Rameth the Delver |

1d20 + 8 + 1d6 ⇒ (15) + 8 + (1) = 24 Religion making sure they are normal zombies, which they obviously aren't cause they are moving and attacking
Rameth whips out a dagger and slashes at the near Zombie. DM if my religion check tells me that do not have DR/Slashing then I will use my spear, in which case add +1 to the attack rolls and I must preroll the damage
Dagger: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (1) + 7 - 1 = 7 for 1d4 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 2 = 8 miss
Dagger: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (9) + 7 - 1 = 15 vs AC 10 to aid Audia on her Defense

DMummy |

Rameth, these appear to be normal zombies, although what's motivating them to attack like this you do not yet know.
I believe you've already rolled for zombies so you know these are behaving strangely, and have knowledge of the DR/Slashing. Albus can roll Spellcraft or Knowledge (Arcana) to try and identify the magical pulse he felt earlier which could help explain these events.

DMummy |

We're also waiting for Dwalindor to bring the hammer down. Literally in his case.
Here's an updated map while you wait. If it matters the servants who were wounded are in Q14 and O14.

Rameth the Delver |

Audia! Help those two!

Audia |

Sorry I didn't see that you needed me to make diplomacy rolls

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
I hate it when monsters try to stop me from making the next bar tab
Audia takes a pull from her hip flask.
Audia takes a 5 foot step to P9 and channels energy to damage undead.
Channel Energy: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2

DMummy |

The worst possible damage roll, that's terrible.

Save vs Channel Energy: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 Failure
Save vs Channel Energy: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 Failure
The wave of positive energy ripples out from the cleric of Cayden Cailean and washes over the zombies. While the damage isn't significant you can see burns appear across the zombie horde.
Waiting on Dwalindor

Rameth the Delver |

dammit Audia. Heal those servants! Rameth roars

![]() |

Sorry, just got home from work..
Dwalindor growls at the zombie that hit him. He will drop his reach hammer and pull his axe to strike.
"I hate zombies to pieces! . "
Dwarf axe, pa/FF : 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 2 = 13for

Dwalindor's axe slashes hard into the zombie (P11), cutting it in two and leaving the pieces to flop onto the floor in front of him.
The patrons of the auction continue to scream or try to escape, and the other zombies are unfazed by Dwalindor's mighty blow.
Albus, you are up.

![]() |

Oh and I almost forgot to add...
"Great idea for having Audia heal me, Rameth. But for the last time...I am a mercenary, not a servant!"

"Angel Eyes" Albus |

Rameth the Delver |

just kill them Albus. Stop being a pansy. Profit to be made by being a hero

DMummy |

Albus, you recognize the magic as a strong pulse of necromantic magic.
Albus's attack likewise fells the zombie in front of him, and the zombie at Q12 takes a step to R11 to fill the space left by its fallen compatriot.
They then renew their attacks.

Dwalindor spits his own blood after the pair of slams connect with his face.
"Now you are making me angry. "
He puts full force into his axe to hack at anothe zombie.

Dwalindor grins in delight as he enjoys his handiwork.

"Angel Eyes" Albus |

I felt a necromancer nearby, beware.
Anyway, you are not turning soft on me are you Rameth? I bet it's that bloody elf women I have being told about. Father's people are all pantsys! Like mother used to say.

Rameth slashes across the zombie throat

DMummy |

Father's people are all pantsys![/b]
If that's a typo it's one of the best ever.
Also you're sort of jumping the gun since Audia, Rameth, and Calin still have to go but I'll take it since it's pre-Zombie attack. Just hope there isn't another monster about to emerge that could have been killed by that attack. But would I do that?.
Albus's strike causes the zombie in front of him to vanish in a flash of silvery fire, even flashier than Dwalindor's strike.
This further panics the people in the room.
A mage is attacking! Run!
Some succeed in running past the grasping hands of the zombies and run over the rubble that has the dying servants beneath it near the front door.

DMummy |

And of course Rameth posts as I respond.
Rameth's dagger rather messily finds a joint in the rotted flesh of the zombie near him and takes its head from its shoulders.
The head falls off and bounces along the floor like a gruesome child's toy.
Since you guys aren't specifying which zombies you're killing (you know who you are!) I'm declaring Zombies N10, O10 and R11 dead. Q11, S11 and O11 are still active.

"Angel Eyes" Albus |

Sorry if I jumped the gun. I am working tonight and did not wanted to slow down the action so I posted my turn in advance.
So is it just old age setting in? Albus quips the explorer. One can never know with you humans, in the blink of one's eyes you are all grandfathers...

DMummy |

Sorry if I jumped the gun. I am working tonight and did not wanted to slow down the action so I posted my actions in advance.
Eh, no worries if you're working it's definitely a good idea. Just pointing out it could have consequences.
I love that sound effect.

Audia |

I hope these servants make alot of money, because they are gonna owe me some alcohols
Audia runs a wheel route to the left around the zombies to stay further than 5 feet away from the zombies to P-14. Audia uses heal to try to stabilize the servant at O-14.
Heal: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25

DMummy |

Calin's arrow sticks through the zombie's thick, rubbery skin doing no discernible damage to the zombie.
Audia does manage to stabilize the servant in O14, who's still out from the wounds inflicted by the door collapse.
The zombies, still mindlessly driving forward against you, continue their assault.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 O11 vs. Dwalindor
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 Q11 vs. Albus
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20 S11 vs. Albus
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 Against Albus
Only one of the zombies manages to land it's attacks, pummeling Albus furiously.
Updated Map.
You guys are back up!

Rameth the Delver |

Rameth moves to N-12 as he does he draws another sharpened dagger as he attacks from flank, again aiming for the neck
Daggerr: 1d20 + 6 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 6 - 1 + 2 = 25 for 1d4 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 8
