Mistmail (1/day) The fine links of this +1 chain shirt form a pattern of roiling clouds. On command once per day, the wearer can transform it into thick fog that fills his space and provides concealment (20% miss chance). This mist moves with the character. Effects that disperse the mist or destroy it cause the armor to reform into its solid shape on the character’s body, as does speaking the command word or entering a place where the fog-magic doesn’t function (such as underwater). If the character tries to don another suit of armor while the mistmail is in fog form, it reforms at the character’s feet.

History:

Calin was born in the eastern reaches of Sargava. His community had fled the slave trade between Sargava and the Shackles and had clawed togather a thriving, if small community on the boarder with the Mwangi Expanse. Like many halflings, Calin has a need to explore and see what is over the next horizon. Unfortunately for Calin, his wanderlust set in early and set off for his adventures at the ripe old age of five. His parents, horrified by the loss, immediately replaced him with a hamster.

He was eventually taken in by an older elven druid that seemed to be suffering from dimensia. After a few days the elf seemed to think Calin as some kind of runt elf and he began teaching him what it means to be an elf and guiding him in the ways of druids. Calin spent his youth growing up throughout the Mwangi Expanse learning how to survive and thive in the places many find formitible and learning that elves aren't nearly as wise as they make themselves out ot be.

During this time he developed a kinship with nature, although he never could worship it as the druids do. To him the wide world was just another friend there to help him on his journeys. And so, at the age of 20, he set out once again to explore new horizons...

Upon discovering that the necropolis of Wati has been opened, Calin began heading toward the city. The compulsion to explor a place unseen by the living for so many years is too much to deny.
