Calin Tinderfoot |

"Not sure if I'll be able to get it off of him, the cloud would kill them both!
Calin throws his dagger at the hand and moves to Q9.
thrown dagger: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

DMummy |

I'm too lazy to come up with funny punishments for 1 on a dagger throw, so for the moment I'll use the Critical Miss generator here: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/tools/critical-generator
Result! For 3 rounds, you take an additional -2 penalty on ranged attacks for each ally in melee combat with your target.
Treat Menya the Whip as an ally for this purpose.
Calin's dagger files wildly off its mark, crashing into a priceless urn recovered from another dig site, causing it to tip over and shatter on the ground. The bidding was up to 6,000 gp when the auction was interrupted.

Rameth the Delver |

[b] well done.[/dice]

![]() |

indeed!.
"Hey, watch it, sport. That sounded expensive. Glad we weren't bidding on it. Hah! . "
Dwalindor's grins at Calin as he continues removing rubble.

Rameth the Delver |

Yes one hand in the room on the whip

Rameth the Delver |

What no sound effect?

DMummy |

Albus, I don't think you can attack the last hand this round - it's at Q5 and unless I missed additional movement you're at R16.
Since the interior of the auction house is difficult terrain (see here) you can't charge to it either.
If you want to attack this turn you can move to R13 and attempt a spell? Or you can move towards the hand R10.
Here's an updated map so hopefully that helps.

"Angel Eyes" Albus |

I was at R 17, but I dont think it makes any difference. What is the lighting icon outside?
Albus will not move and ready an attck against any target that comes within range using his previous roll. If nothing happens he will delay.

Rameth the Delver |

how bad does she look

Rameth the Delver |

[ioc] can't see map but move towards the hand and throw spear[/ooc]
1d20 + 3 + 2 + 1 + 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 3 + 2 + 1 + (3) + 2 = 20 1d8 + 7 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 7 + 2 + 1 = 13

Rameth the Delver |

I meant the one being choked

Rameth the Delver |

I can't see the map, take it at two range increments do a -2 to hit after moving 30 ft

DMummy |

Still just outside of range - as soon as you're in the door it's difficult terrain so the max you can reach with one movement is P14. That puts the hand at 45 feet away - you can take an additional range penalty for -4?
Also I'd like to note you're throwing a spear at a shriveled hand throttling a live person.

![]() |

Dwalindor continues to dig the woman clear of the rubble.
"Audia, I appreciate the healing but you may need to help the trapped man too. He aint lookin none too good. As far as the contest, all as i will admit is my memory is a bit foggy after the 8th or 9th pint."

DMummy |

OK, I'm thinking about Rameth's attack - he's at a 20 roll, -4 for two range increments, -4 for the target in melee since it's grappling, and + 2 for the -4 DEX the monster loses for being in grappling.
That means his attack roll is a 12.
Rameth's spear throw does manage to crash into the hand throttling Menya, although he does look extremely concerned by the spear hurtling towards his throat.
He pushes the spear off and wild-eyed proceeds to escape the auction house.
Dwalindor manages to uncover the rubble on Maru, and Namaru is still calling for help 400 lbs. left on Namaru.
Albus, since Rameth made his attack and I can't seem to find anything in mechanics to match my own logic about the spear toss being a bad idea - go limitations of written rules! - you can either keep your move or take another action.
You are still in combat.

DMummy |

Calin, you don't see any immediate threats beyond the milling NPC's who don't seem to care if they trample a halfling underfoot.
You do see an Osiriani man with gray hair and small, pointed goatee speaking to nothing you can see before he ducks out of the auction hall and hurries through the market.

![]() |

Once the woman is freed. dwalindor will go to work on digging out the man.

DMummy |

Tobbs is unable to pursue the strange man through the crowded marketplace, as numerous citizens are in his way and dozens of upturned market stalls are carts litter the area - apparently the zombies came into the auction house through the main square.
Dwalindor and Audia, in this round you're able to uncover 225 lbs of debris off of Namaru - who is also a woman. 175 lbs of debris left.
You can move to the next round.

Rameth the Delver |

Rameth moves towards his spear and picks it up [/ooc] double move, might get me there?.[/ooc]

DMummy |

It's at Q5 so it's slightly farther than double standard movement, but you can run to make it to the spear so you'll be at Q5 at the start of round 10. There's no enemies, in sight, to make you worry.
After Rameth collects his spear and hears a terrible moan coming from a storage area to the north. The door to the auction platform opens and he sees a mummy stumble out of the storage area.
Initiative (Monster): 1d20 ⇒ 10
Initiative (Albus): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Initiative (Audia): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Initiative (Calin): 1d20 ⇒ 6
Initiative (Dwalindor): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Initiative (Rameth): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

![]() |

"Rameth, don't be findin no new friends. We are still digging here . "
Dwalindor digs one more round, hoping to free the second woman.
Under his breath he mumbles
"Gotta be careful whose watching...they may accuse me of Being a paladin or somethin...hah . "

Rameth the Delver |

1d20 + 9 + 1d6 ⇒ (9) + 9 + (5) = 23 religion

DMummy |

The monster appears to be an average mummy, which is troublesome but not terrible.
You remember it is resistant to most forms of damage but is vulnerable to fire (so is the building you're in) and that it can cause its victims to become infected with a magical disease known to adventurers as mummy rot. This disease causes people to waste away by draining their vitality (CON and CHA damage) and can only be removed first as a curse, then as a disease by a powerful cleric.

Rameth the Delver |

We have to hit this thing with localized fire!
Rameth downs his shield extract then he moves to R-9 taking into account difficult terrain.
Re group outside!

Rameth the Delver |

. get that civilian free. Last thing we need is a mummy killing them when we could have protected them. Bad for business. And what the hells is going on!

![]() |

"Thanks Audia. Now we best see what trouble Rameth has disturbed. "
Dwalindor will pick up his hammer and move up when his chance comes up...

DMummy |

Waiting on Albus now.
Maru and Namaru are still conscious and thank you profusely before joining the stream of refugees from the auction house.
With them are another group of adventurers who look at the mummy in shock and decide to retreat from the auction, guarding against further attacks by the undead for the wealthy they're shepherding down to the Grand Mausoleum at the end of the Sunburst Market.
At the end of this turn the Canny Jackal's interior will no longer be difficult terrain as the patrons have safely evacuated.
