Rii-Chi
If Rii-Chi is in melee range then something has gone terribly wrong! Most likely me not checking the map often enough...
DM RichD
Rii-Chi's two arrows cause the plant-man to die and the eagle talon's tear plant-essence for good measure!
Searching the body, you see that the 'corpse' wears what one might perceive as a naval uniform-perhaps that of a ship's captain!
As you exit the cave you notice that all the fungus has withered and died.
Congratulations! You are now 2nd Level! Please level up in the discussion thread.

Awesome job guys. Nice kill and level up...ding...
Before they go too far and as soon as the creature dies Neltji moves up to inspect the wound that Rubani took.
Heal 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Hols still Rubani and let me look at this. I don’t have any Magic’s that can help but some old fashioned tlc should help

Nothus shakes his head, "Man deserved a better fate..."
Ndombe
"No one deserves that fate! I shall say some words over him, and we can do away with his remains, such as they are, respectfully."
Knowledge(religion): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Ndombe says a short prayer and a death service with appropriately nautical themes in Polyglot, figuring that the man having been a sailor, that was a tongue he would understand.

It looks like everyone is leveled up. Where to next?

Neltji - where to? And No, we are not healed up. We can either do that now, or head back to camp and rest then continue exploring
Neltji
Neltji sees that the blight is leaving the land and hurries with the others to cross the fungal rope bridge before it deteriorates too far to hold them. Once on the other side she turns to the group. We have covered this entire small island here. I think we should return to our camp and let them know what we have discovered. From here we can explore the south half of the main island. Also we can see how Rubani feels in the morning after that injury.
On a positive note I have been observing each of you and I think I have discerned how to heal each of you once a day by touching you and altering your auras. Whenever you need healing please let me know.
Rii-Chi
"Thanks Neltji-friend!" Rii-Chi offers, sweeping the witch into a hug as his tail tickles her flanks. "Rii-Chi is well now, no traps!"
Nothus Adalis
Nothus nods, "Let's... it'll give us a chance to both check in and let them know what we've found so far..."
DM RichD
You arrive in camp late in the day while the camp is eating their evening meal. Gelik is entertaining the group with tales of famous pathfinders while Peazock clumsily reenacts them - much to everyone's amusement!
Well! The wandering..or should I say...wondering adventurers have returned! Did you find anything interesting on this gods forsaken island? Gelik asks.
Munkustrap
"Fungus. Lots and lots of fungus. Never thought that I'd day this, but it nice to see you Gelik. A story for all of us perhaps. It has been a trying day."
Munkustrap takes the offered tea from Ishirou.
"Oh and Jask, Rubani is injured. Can you help him, my friend?"
Munkustrap sees Rii-Chi of to the trees when his friend retires. "Rii-chi, I can't help but feel that we are close. You. Me. Neltji. The others. I can almost feel that we are close to leaving this cursed place. I hate this place, I really hate this place. But I am glad of it. For I now count you and Neltji as my dearest friends."
Rii-Chi
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
"You are good friend Munk!" Rii-Chi replies, dropping down to hang by his tail. "Munk and the monkey! We are friends and heroes from sea stories! And Neltji too!" He opens his arms, apparently offering a furry hug. "We will escape soon, and then no more traps to stab Rii-Chi and his friends!"
Galdon Strife
"It was good to see more of the island, but I'm glad to be able to rest, and not worry about fungus people for a little while!"
Nothus Adalis
Nothus can take 10 to provide long term care to double that.
Munkustrap
After a good night's rest, and everyone is healed, Munkustrap kneels by the fire, warming a bowl of boiled grain. 'What I wouldn't give for two-soft boiled eggs, warm crusty bread grilled with a crock of pale whipped cream, and a rasher of salted pork.'
He food day dream abruptly ends as more of his companions wake from their slumber. He looks to the tree Rii-Chi is biovaccing in and chuckles to himself at the gregarious man.
Placing the half-eaten bowl down, he calls everyone over. "Let Neltji grab a bit more sleep, she certainly deserved it. We have been hugging this crescent coast line." he draws a curve in the sand with a twig as he speaks. "It is time we head to the interior of the island. This river here." he draws a squiggle from the northeast to the center of the island. "We should follow that. To the south and east of that is where Rii-Chi found all those traps, so everyone be on the lookout for anything untoward.
"Any Objections? We leave in a half-hour." he concludes.
We follow the river originating in J to to the south west - so like C6 - N - M
Rii-Chi
"Someone else can go first!" Rii-Chi declares, dropping out of his tree and landing as softly as a cat. He promptly purloins Munk's half finished bowl of grain and starts eating.
"Many thanks for sharing Munk friend!"
He's the most cheerful Cha 8 character ever!
Nothus Adalis
Nothus shrugs, "Seems as good a plan as any... Still trying to figure out where a very upset cat might have washed up... and then where it would have headed once it did. Pretty sure I'd feel it is it was dead

C6B-Snocker Lizard
1=H,2=NH: 1d2 ⇒ 2
You found a deceased shocker lizard at his cave. He looks like he died of natural causes.
N-Abandoned Hut
An overgrown jungle path leads to a small clearing where a partially collapsed hut stands on the banks of a gurgling stream. The hut itself seems to have been made from a combination of driftwood and tree trunks, with a roof of wide leaves and strips of rotten canvas sail. The front door to the hut hangs partially ajar. Dozens of bones and skulls—quite obviously of human origin—decorate the hut and the surrounding area, each bearing numerous nicks and scratches.
Inside the hut
The inside of the hut has not been occupied for some time and only bits of an old chair carved from a tree stump, fragments of fabric,
and rusted bits of metal remain.

Nothus nods in agreement at Ndombe's assessment. "Perhaps this journal will have some answers."
Munkustrap
Although his companions are pouring over the contents that describe a ship's crew that turned to their baser selves, Munkustrap cannot help but read the line over and over again '10 years'. Dropping the fragments, he walks out of the ossuary cave with tears streaming down his face.
10 years. I can't do it. I can't live here 10 more years.
He finds anything he can and begins shredding it with his daggers as furiously as he can.
Rii-Chi
Rii-Chi watches from the sidelines as Munk tears some innocent bamboo shoots into tiny tiny pieces. It's only when he slows down that the vanara speaks.
"Are you hungry Munk-friend? I am sorry about your food. I can find you berries if that makes things better?"

Rubani looks around the hut.

Munkustrap
Wiping his eyes, and sheathing his daggers, Munkustrap turns around to see his friend Rii-Chi. Embarrassed, he tries to explain to his friend. "Thank you Rii-Chi, but it is not about breakfast. Ever since we've been here, I've been scared that we'd never get off this island, but .... I don't know. I always thought that somehow ... someway ... I guess I've always held out hope that we'd make it out of here.
"But after reading that ... 10 years man. They were here 10 years and then they went feral. Gods! I'll never make it a year, much less 10. I don't want to lose hope, but I can feel it fading fast."
Munskustrap just gazes off in the distance for a moment. "Just tell me we are going to get out of here. Even if you don't believe it. Just tell me." Munkustrap tries to hold back his emotions like a boy resisting a tsunami.
Rii-Chi
"Of course we will get out of here!" Rii-Chi says, drawing Munk into a wiry-armed hug. "We will build a ship and Rii-Chi will sail it! You can chop wood for building! Others can be useful too! Why would we stay? This place has too many traps!"
The vanara has clearly still not overcome his indignation at the traps!
Rii-Chi genuinely believes they can escape. He's confident like that!
Munkustrap
"Yeah the traps." Munkustrap reminisces at all the danger the Vanaran faced braving the traps in search of a way off the island. If his friend could be so brave, well then Munkustrap needs to be brave too.
"I appreciate your optimism, even when I don't have any. Why don't we head back in, see if there is something more in that journal? Maybe something that I missed in my despair."
Heading back in, Munkustrap picks up the scraps and pours over them again hoping to find a bit of good news.
ruined lighthouse
By all that was holy. "There is lighthouse on this island. Did any of you see it? If we can repair it, I bet we can get off this cursed island in a week." His excitement making him giddy, he flits from friend to friend asking if they knew of a lighthouse or suspected where it could be.
With a renewed sense of vigor, he bounces as he talks.
Neltji
Neltji snaps out of her reverie as the group comes across the hut. It was the first really decent dwelling they had seen on the island since they arrived. However her excitement as seeing it paled quickly as the contents of the hut was revealed and further when the diary was found. She shared the disappointment that Munk had but consoled herself to the fact that at least she had Anthony with her. She could spend time in simple solitude with him. She also commiserated with Nothus. Apparently he had lost a companion as well when they wrecked on the island. If she saw any tracks she would definitely be on the look out and let him know.

Munkustrap moves over and begins to inspect the trap. Carefully he pulls his tools out of his pack. Examining the wires, pinches two together, ties a line to a nearby tree, and slices through two others.
