"The eyes - is she possessed?" Rhoswen asks to nobody in particular as she races up the steps next to Imrizade. She swings her blade, hoping to cut into one of the fungal umbilicals attaching itself to the woman.

Stag will copy Rhoswen and try to shoot one of the cords attached to Imrizade.

"Very likely. The fool girl messed with powers beyond her ability!" Torean casts a protection spell and hustles up near Imrizade, trying to make himself a target with everyone else moving around the sides.

"Well, come'on Kubburum! If you want to use that girl's body, then you'll have to go through me! You think you have power? Try it, I dare you!"

Cast Shield of Faith. +2 AC, bringing it to 19

Stag shoots one of the umbilicals, half-severing it with his slug.

Ruby tries to ID the being trying to break through or how best to defeat this foe.

Charging into combat with her dances in full swing,she makes a slash with her weapon at whatever seems to best target.

Studying Imrizade and her reaction to Stag shooting one of the umbilicals convinces Ruby that they look like a good target.

Ruby, next time just roll the attack. Prompting for information when your action will be the same slows things down. I'm going to guess Variel will toss another hex at Imrizade, but it won't affect her actions yet.

As the group charges in, Imrizade levels her wand at Torean and Stag, speaks a word, and a burst of blinding color sprays forth!

DC 11 Will Save for Torean and Stag.

Rhoswen then closes the distance and severs one of the umbilicals, which causes Imrizade to cry out in pain. Brewslee tumbles in and flails around with his Guirsame, but misses badly.

Stag falls to the ground, his eyes crossed and his hands twitching. His gun clangs against the stone.

@Rah: Ready Actions don't adjust the initiative, do they? That's just hold actions right?

From the rules on ready actions:
Initiative Consequences of Readying: Your initiative result becomes the count on which you took the readied action. If you come to your next action and have not yet performed your readied action, you don't get to take the readied action (though you can ready the same action again). If you take your readied action in the next round, before your regular turn comes up, your initiative count rises to that new point in the order of battle, and you do not get your regular action that round.

She was waiting for two people to get into range. Stag moved in, then Torean.

Torean laughs as the wand's magic washes over him and then slides right off. "Oh, girlie, really? That was like day one in Spellbane training. I swear they cast that at us bout a hundred times that day." He moves in and raises his hammer.

Variel cackles while hexing the women again and stepping forward.
Cackle to maintain -2AC hex and Will dc 15 for -2 Attk rolls. Not sure if its his 3rd round already. If it is same action but -2 to saves this time.

Variel adds more hexes, but Imrizade is able to resist lasting effects.

Ruby hacks another umbilical away from Imrizade and she cries out again in shock and anger.

Torean swings his hammer, smashing a third tentacle into the ground and severing it with brute force.

Imrizade attempts to cast a spell, but she briefly loses concentration and it fizzles.

Rhoswen and Brewslee slash again at the umbilicals, but Imrizade pulls back slightly and the attacks miss. Torean fares better, crushing another.

Variel cackles and Stag snores.

"No! NO!" She howls in rage and raises a hand crackling with electricity and brings it down to grab at Ruby.

"Ouch" Ruby says as her teeth chatter and lighting shoots through her. "Lets disable her not kil her!" She steps back and uses her wand to heal herself.

Brewslee strikes at the cylinder with his Guirsame

Rhoswen grabs Imrizade.

Brewslee strikes at the cylinder, cracking it, but not destroying it.

Ruby heals herself.

Torean swigs his weapon, but even held Imrizade's magic protects her from harm.

I'll assume Variel continues to cackle.

Imrizade struggles to escape Rhoswen's grip, but is held tight for the moment.

Torean leaps on top of Imrizade to help Rhoswen hold her.

Stag is transported to the monastery in the River Kingdoms. He hears a girl's voice yelling about how she pinned someone. He sees Karina standing over a mountain lion in the courtyard, the legs of the lion wrapped in her expertly tied cloth. Way to go Karina!

Imrizade is wrestled to the ground and restrained with ropes. Combined efforts eventually shatter the cylinder attached to the arch, and as it breaks open a grayish blob, the magically-preserved brain of Kubburum Ishme-dagan, splatters to the ground. With the ancient aberrant sorcerer destroyed, Imrizade is freed from his control, the Gate of Beyond crumbles, and the strange powers corrupting the Museum begin to fade.

Emerging victorious from the Museum, the Pathfinders earn the gratitude of Nigel Aldain, the powerful Blakros family, and Imrizade herself, who happily turns over the Osirian artifacts she collected, and grants the Pathfinder Society unrestricted access to the Blakros family archives.

Imrizade, however, still retains her aberrant bloodline and is plagued afterward by strange dreams of nightmare vistas and bizarre beings from the Dark Tapestry.

THE END

Go ahead and give me a wrap up post. I have some things to do this weekend, so I probably won't be able to report and get chronicles out until tomorrow night.

Ruby nods "Well done people!"

Rhoswen catches her breath after the brain is destroyed. "Torean, I know it must have been difficult to not outright kill Imrizade. Four that, I thank you."

"Well done everyone! We managed to save this poor woman's life while preventing some extra-planar thing from entering our world."

Looking at the squished brain in a jar Variel cant avoid being sad. Such power and such a waste. For what? He looks at the girl and sights. I suppose you are right Rhoswen, there is a bright side to it.

Stag awakes with a start! Ah! OH! WHERE AM I?!?! WHERE AM I?!?!

He surveys the scene in front of him. Ah, good job guys. Glad we could get this done.

Torean shakes his head. "That Blackros family got less sense than a goblin playing with fireworks. Hopefully Imrizade will think twice before she plays with dark magic again."
