I'll take the Amulet of natural armor +3 if no one wants it. I currently have an amulet +2 I would throw back into party treasure.

I think she can escort the bell back. In game life that would really be important to Drezen.

Since we need to recruit a paladin, I would suggest saving that amulet and giving it to whoever we select. It's a good magic item and would be one less thing for that person to have to buy.

As far as Arueshalae goes, I feel like it'd be better to keep her with us. Or at the very least we need to find out more about her conversion experience. She clearly had an encounter with Desna, but that doesn't mean she's suddenly good. We might've been the ones to find her because she needs help finding that path.

We probably need to go back to Drezen regardless; Aladir definitely needs to get more arrows and I'm sure others would like to go shopping, too. It would also be a good way to write Quinn out of the campaign. We could even have some kind of ritual to transfer the mythic power or something. Then we could leave Quinn there to watch over the city.

I agree, I would like to head back to Drezen to do some crafting at the very least, since Ezro and I both have craft weapons and armor. It would also make a good way to have Quinn bow out with a chance to come back later.

Killer. Crunch, btw, would have been nowhere near as well done if I didn't have Hero Lab. That thing is SUCH a crutch for me ... but y'know, I paid good money for that crutch, dammit!!! ;)

I do need to point out one thing that I realized may not be kosher -- the 'masterwork cold iron durable angel quill arrowhead arrows'. This essentially combines the durable alchemical arrow capability with the angel quill arrowhead alchemical arrow capability. As a GM myself, I can entirely understand keeping the alchemical DR reduction to be a one-shot deal, requiring re-application to each arrow for 10gp a pop; this is 100% totally okay with me, because this is the same idea behind why she has the +1 evil-outsider-bane arrows on the same base -- so that all that needs to be done is to get the magic re-applied.

(I have reason to do this over in my other game, GM Phntm888's Way of the Wicked, in which I play Hel Blackfist, a zen archer monk who is going to become a master craftsman magic arrow maker -- and where making the 50 durable adamantine arrows takes FAR longer (like, 60 days) than enchanting all of them (3 days). So it seemed a good thing to do, especially if you're travelling in a dangerous land with limited resources.)

One other question -- yea or nay on the Gray Maiden armor of the pious?

And thank you all VERY much for the complements. Like I said, when I realized that Iomedae's Divine Fighting Technique was virtually identical to 'Motivating Display' (better bonuses, potentially shorter time), it opened up a feat -- and I'd already eyeballed the fluff on the maiden's helm, so I was slightly aware of them -- and the artwork for them is just fantastic. My only problem was getting 'Korvosa royal bodyguard/thug' together with 'trained in Absalom Tempering Hall', which of course is where Tala Mateev came in.

Wow, I'm all bubbly and sh!t. Very happy to be here.

Edit: Well, sh!t. Made it into the super-technicals (the +2 HP), halfway screwed it up elsewhere. Just as an FYI, 'Gray Maiden Initiate' is using 'Faceless Maiden (+2 Intimidate in Gray Maiden plate)' and 'Gray Maiden Endurance (+2 hp, can sleep in Gray Maiden plate without becoming fatigued)'. Will clean that up immediately.

EST, tend to work AFK daytimes (9-5) Tues-Sat. Sundays I spend either with the RL gaming group (Shadowrun) or with the RLSO, Mondays are catch up on sleep / errands / RLSO. I also sometimes do an evening with aforementioned RLSO as well, usually Thursday, but there's usually time for a post between work and heading the 20 miles over there. That said, I can always get online for a couple of hours right around midnight, so at least a post a day is doable.

Now, while I am slowly reading my way through the gameplay thread, I do have one quick question -- how much time has passed between the Storm King's attack and where the game is now?

(Um. On the arrows -- is that a 'yes, the alchemical part will need reapplication' or 'yes, that's cool, don't worry about the reapplication'? But too cool on the armor.)

I am reminded -- do you have a common use-list for languages via Google Translate or something similar? I saw Arabic in use for Elvish; are there any game-standard ones, a list or anything? Just for reference going forward. If it helps, I put together my own list ...

Because this is a PbP, we have the opportunity to use neat scripts and that sort of thing for different languages. For this campaign, we will use those languages that can be found in Google Translate. When doing so, for audible speech, use the Latin-alphabet phonetic translation (typically found underneath the box in which the script translation appears) so that we can read what it sounds like. If, however, the conversation is telepathic, mental, or if the words are physically written down, use the language's own script, if it has something else (Arabic, the Cyrillic alphabet, etc.), which is usually found inside the translation box.

Cool to find old gaming buddies still playing with each other online. Wish some of mine had been able to do that.

In regards to the treasure trove, my suggestions would be these:

Coins/gems/etc., all bags of holding, all elixirs/potions, all scrolls (with one exception), all wands, metamagic rod of maximize, ring of feather fall, decanter of endless water.

Uncertain:
+1 flaming heavy crossbow, +1 returning throwing axe, +2 adamantine keen dagger, +2 dagger, +2 fire resistant banded mail, +2 glaive, cloak of resistance +2, boots of elvenkind

Donate to Drezen rebuilding or sell:
+1 cold iron longspear, +1 cold iron longsword, +1 glaive x5, +1 longsword, +1 mace, cold iron dagger (3), +1 full plate, +1 breastplate x2, 1 chain shirt, amulet of natural armor +1 x2, ring of protection +1, elemental gem (earth), scroll of move earth

My reasonings are these:
For most of the donate/sell items I expect the rest of you already have better items than these; the elemental gem and the scroll of move earth may be put to better use specifically in helping excavate or shore up defenses in Drezen. And if we're using the 'rebuilding Drezen' rules, they all might count towards that, which would be a good thing.

Of the list of 'uncertain' things, I don't know if the rest of you have gear equivalent or better for them. Some of them (throwing axe, daggers) would be useful for someone who's good at throwing, or as a backup -- I have to confess that Aeri doesn't have a backup if she's disarmed of her sword or doesn't have it immediately to hand, so any of those daggers would be good for her.

Except for the wands, the items-to-keep are either very useful (bags of holding), restorative, or useful one-shot items (scrolls). The wands are all useful in their specific ways, whether it's 'dodge bad movement danger', 'quick added defense', or 'making the paladin be sneaky for once would be a good thing, you poor clanging sod'. Aeri has made a study of wand use, and can reliably use them ... outside of combat, at least.

Terendelev's Bolstering Scale: this should always be in the party, of course. ;)

Re: Alikia's crossbow ... might it be worthwhile to upgrade your bonded item (if it works this way, not sure if you can transfer without losing/destroying the old one) to the +1 flaming heavy crossbow instead? Higher base damage, already +1, also has the flaming (for those non-demons we run into)?

To address your suggestion: It would cost me gold and time to change arcane bonded objects. Part of the reason why I went into crafting was to be able to improve my arcane bond throughout the campaign and to help improve other weapons when necessary. In addition it would cause me to be without my bonded object for a week, which would leave me vulnerable to having to make spellcraft checks for every spell I cast, in addition to the gold cost of switching objects. I also personally just like my bonded object.

@loot list: I have it in my notes that Alikia took the maximized metamagic rod and the wand of fly with 10 charges. Alikia will also pick up an amulet of Natural armor +1 (I apparently don't have anything in my neck slot) and the headband of vast intelligence +2, and maybe the ring of protection +1 (I also did not have a ring slot).

I currently have a loot list going that I'm working on, so I can have that ready with a formula by Thursday in order to divvy out the remaining loot that no one wants :)

As I'm reading forward from select points (start of the 3rd book now), I'll note that I am seeing what might be some of the loot already having been claimed (starting on this page, with the dragon's hoard). I'm seeing in particular the debated +2 adamantium keen dagger (Alikia) and the boots of elvenkind (Aladir).

Interesting list, I cannot say anything is of use to me on there. These wands and scrolls are all arcane in nature it appears. What I really need, are just a few staples, like a better amulet, a belt and headband, etc.

My pants are falling down and my head is getting cold, I need to fix that. :P

@Hyram: Thanks but it may be better to just liquidize and upgrade many things. I might be able to buy myself a +3 Amulet, but we will see. would be nice to also get a Spell Storing Ring for emergency spells.

I would like the AofNA+3. I also have Horgus' +1 Longsword on my sheet that we should giveback to Horgus if no one wants it. I also have +1 Banded Mail & +1 Breastplate I can throw back into party treasure.

We can sell that shadow leather armor I had before, now that I've got the celestial armor. As high as his UMD check is, he could probably make the roll for any wand that y'all feel like would be good on him, too.

The interaction between Aerianna and Hyram is hilarious, by the way! DRB, would there be any reply from Arueshalae to what Aladir last said to her? Kinda waiting on that before I post again.
