Alikia, reading the rules for creating magic armor, to create the armor your level has to be higher than either 3x the armor's enhancement bonus (which for Hyram is currently +1, I think?) or the special ability's CL requirement (which for the ghost touch ability is 15). While I would allow the bettering of the enhancement bonus, it is of course up to GrumpelStiltzkin whether he'll permit improving the enhancement bonus to not require the higher CL.

Not to mention that it takes one full day of work for each 1,000 GP of value the item has. At the level we're at now, you're talkin' at least eight or ten days for the more significant stuff. A +2 enhancement bonus would cost 8,000 GP, which means eight days of work to create it.

Greater Invisivility

The creature or object touched becomes invisible. If the recipient is a creature carrying gear, that vanishes, too. If you cast the spell on someone else, neither you nor your allies can see the subject, unless you can normally see invisible things or you employ magic to do so.

Items dropped or put down by an invisible creature become visible; items picked up disappear if tucked into the clothing or pouches worn by the creature. Light, however, never becomes invisible, although a source of light can become so (thus, the effect is that of a light with no visible source). Any part of an item that the subject carries but that extends more than 10 feet from it becomes visible.

Of course, the subject is not magically silenced, and certain other conditions can render the recipient detectable (such as swimming in water or stepping in a puddle). If a check is required, a stationary invisible creature has a +40 bonus on its Stealth checks. This bonus is reduced to +20 if the creature is moving. The spell ends if the subject attacks any creature. For purposes of this spell, an attack includes any spell targeting a foe or whose area or effect includes a foe. Exactly who is a foe depends on the invisible character’s perceptions. Actions directed at unattended objects do not break the spell. Causing harm indirectly is not an attack. Thus, an invisible being can open doors, talk, eat, climb stairs, summon monsters and have them attack, cut the ropes holding a rope bridge while enemies are on the bridge, remotely trigger traps, open a portcullis to release attack dogs, and so forth. If the subject attacks directly, however, it immediately becomes visible along with all its gear. Spells such as bless that specifically affect allies but not foes are not attacks for this purpose, even when they include foes in their area.

Invisibility can be made permanent (on objects only) with a permanency spell.

I know most of you have been together for a while so i’ll be pretty easy on everything. As long as I’m not making up another set of rules entirely then i’m willing to slightly bend some rules if need be. Especially if that means everyone still gets to play their character in a fun way. As long as their are no objections from anyone that is?

I’m fine with you transfering the stats on armor. If you could just keep track of that in your profile in case I would need to reference that for some odd reason.
I’m also fine with the longsword being upgraded.
Blackrobe of the Archmage-are you asking me rule wise if it can be done or just GM wise is that can be done?

I hear you! rogues are certainly not gonna leave the paper trail that wizards do, but I haven't updated Aladir's gear since we first took back Drezen and it's just taking some time to go through all my options. I mean, dang...lots of stuff to consider.

Here is the complete treasure list from the Sanctum, including my general suggestions on what to do with them. Who, specifically, items should go to is something that needs to be decided; of particular interest to us are a Manual of Bodily Health (+2 Con), a sword of the planes (which will act as a +4 longsword in most circumstances going forward), a headband of mental prowess +4 (Int, Wis), a ring of major fire resistance (20 points), and a ring of protection +5.

GM GrumpleStiltzkin, consider the armor bonus / conversion tracked.

The +2 unholy longsword conversion (to holy) or upgrade (to redeemd) is, in part, a question for the group -- if we want to invest in that, or if it can be converted and 'transferred' (and thus still needing the upgrade cost) to Iona's weapon (which would give her a +2 holy demonbane cold iron longsword, and 'leave behind' a +1 longsword -- or just consume it in the upgrade, reducing the conversion cost). Which, again, is something for the group to decide. Me, I'm in favor of at least a combination into the holy bane weapon -- it'd definitely enhance Iona's smacking things around.

Just for tracking ...:

Starting:
+2 unholy longsword: 32,315gp
+1 bane cold iron longsword: 10,330gp
Total: 42,330 gp (ignoring the 315gp for the other masterwork sword)

Options:
+2 holy longsword: 32,315gp (no change, other sword remains intact) -- dmg vs. evil, 1d8+6+2d6.
+2 redeemed longsword: 50,315 (+18,000gp, other sword remains intact) -- dmg vs. evil, 1d8+6+2d6, +2 to saves vs. evil outsider.
+2 holy demonbane cold iron longsword: 52,330 (+10,000gp, other sword consumed) -- dmg vs. evil outsider, 1d6+8+4d6
+2 redeemed demonbane cold iron longsword: 74,330: +32,000gp (other sword consumed) -- dmg vs. evil outsider, 1d6+8+4d6, +2 to saves vs. evil outsider.

(All damage is using Iona's stats.) Any of the cost increases can be whittled down by use of the 6000gp worth of magical reagents and crafting materials. So especially workable would be the third version, resulting in only 4,000gp expenses.

Regarding the Black Robe of the Archmage, it's kind of both. They're robes, sure, but they're magical robes, and the conversion forge (purity forge?) might, philosophically, be able to do it. IMO it's definitely a GM call on whether or not it can be done that way. Aerianna certainly doesn't know enough to even guess, though Aravashnial or, especially, Alikia herself are likely to know whether it's possible. If it is, it's a major boon; if it isn't ... well, on the moral side Aerianna would want to see it destroyed, as a powerful tool of evil; on the gamer side, that's 75,000gp we'd be destroying. Aiiiee!! ;)

To be honest, I'm not totally sure what else everyone needs -- the sheet is able to be edited, so by all means everyone chime in with suggestions on where stuff should go. I know that Aerianna needs to get her defenses up ... GM Grump, is it okay to improve the ring of protection +1 aspect of the knight-inheritor's ring? Right now it'd only increase to +2, but I'm focusing on the entire 'Aeri need better defenses' thing. :P :)

Okay! I fixed Iona, she is now tier 5!

Channel Smite (mythic) is her feat, Mythic Spellcasting: (Shield other, Pillar of Life, Order's Wrath, Breath of life, Plane Shift) is her path ability, and she got returning added to her shield. I'm going to have her take in again next tier so that it will return to her no matter what plane it is on!

Also something that I was suggest to bring up to you all. Because of the book we're in, Iona won't have the this is really were my mythic power comes from. I'm well aware of what her trait means, so the question is... does Iona know?

As far as the other gear goes, I honestly think the only thing that Aladir would really be interested in claiming for himself is the Fortune's Arrow. We didn't really find any magical bows or less magical arrows so a lot of the things that Aladir needs are going to have to be purchased once we have figured out what's getting liquidated and how much petty coin we each have to play with.

I'm still waiting on answers to a few questions.

First, can I upgrade the defensive value of the knight-inheritor's ring from its current +1 to +3? Can we turn the black robe of the archmagi into a white one for Alikia? And can we merge Iona's +1 demon-bane cold iron longsword with the +2 unholy longsword converted to +2 holy longsword, using the 6000gp worth of magical reagents and crafting materials and another 4000gp of goods into a +2 holy demon-bane cold iron longsword? (And is everyone else willing/wanting to do that?)

Regarding the 'convert' note under Yaniel's armor, I meant the transfer of the +3 bonus over to the armor Aerianna's currently wearing, which would leave Yaniel's armor as +1 mithral full plate armor, valued at 11,500gp, which we can then sell / donate (which I've been pegging at 1/3 gp value returned).

It doesn't look like anyone is going to want/need the +3 greataxe, so I suggest we sell that. The sword of the planes is essentially likewise, though I'm recommending a sell/donate (for 1/3 gp) with it. The blessed book is an item which only Alikia has a use for, and since she already has one, I doubt she needs another; we can sell that as well.

For the other significant items, I suggest this distribution:

Manual of Bodily Health +2 (+2 Con): Aladir
Headband of Mental Prowess +4 (Int, Wis; Bluff, Sense Motive): Iona
Ring of Major Fire Resistance (20 pts): Hyram
Ring of Protection +5: Alikia

Alikia could give her ring of protection +2 to Hyram, who (from what I can see) doesn't seem to have one. I suggest also that either Hyram or Iona carry the instant fortress, as being the most likely to be ready or able to establish such a stronghold while the rest of us are getting ready to back into it.

It would be good for Alikia, Hyram, and Iona discuss how to use the word bottle -- it stores one language-dependent spell of up to 3rd level, turning it into basically a splash weapon, which could be useful particularly for a single-target spell.

We also have another bag of holding, type IV this time (1500 lbs / 250 cu ft), which Aerianna can carry if need be. I'm sure we'll find use for it in this next adventure.

Speaking of which, since we're on our way into the Abyss, we might want to all pitch in on some sort of food-producing magic; while Aerianna does wear a ring of sustenance, there's the rest of you too. ;) A sustaining spoon would keep you all in gruel for 5400gp; a cornucopia of plenty for 35,000gp would not only keep us all in good stead, a use of mythic power would give us the equivalent of heroes' feast and restore all our non-mythic abilities to full as per the recuperation ability. Or everyone else could acquire a ring of sustenance for 2500gp. ;) Otherwise, lots of food can go into that bag of holding!!

Given all that, and with a 5-way split understood, everyone but Iona has 42,230gp division coming from loot sale.

Just seeking opinions here...I've got several options ready for gear purchases, some with more stuff that costs less and others with less stuff that costs more. In general, what do y'all think is the better option?

For example, my most expensive list has just two things taking up all but 1k of my gold...a +1 Holy rapier and Greater Bracers of Archery. Do ya'll think I'd be better off with something like that or spreading it out a little more?

I always advise improving what you have, if you can. While the greater bracers of archery would definitely improve your ability (+2 competence on attack, +1 on damage), it seems to be a very small advance -- although I'll concede that they are a good general-usage item.

Thing is, we're fighting a lot of evil-outsider-types; you could gain +2 to attack and +2d6 damage if you improved your +4 bow to +4 evil-outsider-bane, going from 32k to 50k, or 18k.

Likewise, instead of buying a new, different weapon (the +1 holy rapier) for 18k, improving your current +1 frost rapier (8k) to a +1 holy frost rapier would bring the cost to 32k -- 34k if combined with the masterwork cold iron rapier you also have -- 24k or 26k.

Presuming you have just the 42,000, adding the bane to the bow and the holy to the frost rapier would clock you out straight at 42k. If you do have the extra 2k, get all the benefits of the blade onto the cold iron rapier at a total of 44k - which, considering you're looking at 18k + 25k = 43k anyhow, with 1k left over ... you do have. ;)

And don't forget to apply the +2 CON to yourself, from the Manual of Bodily Health!!

As a general rule I completely agree with you; upgrading is better than purchasing something new.

The main issue with it is the time component. RAW, upgrading both weapons would take 42 days, start to finish. I'm not sure we're gonna have a month-and-a-half of downtime. Even if we said that we farmed it out to two different enchanters, it would still take over a month and that's still a lot of time to wait for the weapon to be upgraded.

I believe the GM liberally applied handwavium. "A fellow happens to have just the sort of thing you want, and is willing to trade your lesser plus X gold for the one he has." ;)
